Truly Helpless: A Nature of Desire Series Novel by Joey W. Hill

Blurb:
Marius has all the things a Mistress could want in a one-night-sub encounter. Hot body, loads of charm and a willingness to get her off in any way she pleases. That’s his reputation at The Zone. But Marius has a dark side. When a Mistress pushes him for something deeper, he’ll push back, mess with her head. When he takes it too far one night, The Zone management has had enough. He’s kicked out of the club and there’s only one way back in—Lady Regina.
Regina’s been studying Marius for a while. She enjoys her submissives in all flavors, and she likes them challenging, though not usually the “knight-in-distress” type, so screwed up she’d need a backhoe to dig him out of his dysfunctions. But on that pivotal night, she sees something in Marius. He doesn’t know what it means to be truly helpless to a Mistress, but he needs it, more than any sub she’s ever encountered. And that’s a challenge this Mistress can’t resist.

My review:
OMG! Joey W. Hill comes up with characters as tortured as can be and drags our hearts through the muck and mire as we join them on their quest for redemption. Marius has been through hell since the day he was conceived. He has found coping methods that while not necessarily healthy have worked for him. Till now. When things start to escape his iron control Marius starts lashing out. Luckily for him love is stronger than hate and his friends from The Zone can give him the tools to cope if he will only let them. I LOVE Lady Regina! She is powerful and patient and the one woman who could get Marius through the maelstrom his life has become.
Warning! There are some intense emotional scenes and there may be one or two trigger scenes. If you can power through the story is so worth it. It was like coming through a horrendous thunderstorm to see the sunshine and rainbow on the other side. Another fabulous read.

A Kiss For The Cameras (The Hollywood Showmance Chronicles Book 1) by Olivia Jaymes

Blurb:
Purely Business. No hearts involved…
That’s how this public relations romance – a showmance – was described to best selling author Paige Mitchell. Dating Hollywood heartthrob Nate Mason is all for the publicity. He’ll hold her hand down the red carpet and in return she’ll let him star in the movie based on her book. It’s a win-win for both of them.
Nate is charming and sexy with perfectly polished cheekbones and a smooth as chocolate British accent. She’s an American soccer mom who has had less than good luck in the love department. They shouldn’t have anything in common except ambition.
The more time they spend together, the more Paige begins to see the man behind the spoiled movie star façade. In private, he’s a different person and things are starting to get very personal. It’s going to be difficult to remember…
They’re only kissing for the cameras.

My review:
I loved this fun romp! If you liked the movie Notting Hill you will love this story. A fresh take on an old trope and a true joy to read. I know you will enjoy this fake boyfriend to real love story. I am so looking forward to the next in the series.

Of Humans and Monsters (Only Human #3) by Candace Blevins

Blurb:

Book three of the Only Human urban fantasy series...

When Aaron finally locates the human who wields light-weapons similar to Kirsten's, her quiet family life is once again disrupted as she's dragged into another fearsome clash of vampires, shapeshifters, and not-so-mythological gods.

Aaron leaves for his honeymoon and she finds herself working side-by-side with the Amakhosi, so it's a good thing the two have figured out how to get along -- though controlling her libido around him was easier when he was an asshole cat.

Several new species show up -- some friendly and others most certainly a fierce enemy -- along with a human assassin who scares the bejeebers out of her despite the fact he's supposed to be on her side.

Kirsten's old enemy Aquila's back, as well as Xaephan and Mordecai. Add in another skirmish with Randall, more gods-of-old, and a fantastic night with a sexy biker, and you'll want to make sure you have plenty of popcorn and batteries for the third installment of the Only Human series!

NOTE: Of Humans and Monsters is book three of the Only Human urban fantasy series and is not a stand-alone. The first book is Only Human, the second is An Unhuman Journey.

My review:
Have you read Only Human and An Unhuman Journey? NO? STOP! Go read them and then come back and read this entry into the series. Kirsten makes new friends and new enemies in this entry in the series. We also catch up with some old friends and old enemies. We learn more about Kirsten and as she becomes stronger we have to question is she human or one of the monsters? Of course there are human monsters out there too. This is a non-stop express high energy addition to the series and I can’t wait to see where Kirsten’s journey takes us next.

Sweet Tea and Spirits (Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries #5) by Angie Fox

Blurb:

The latest in the USA Today bestselling Southern Ghost Hunter series!

Southern girl Verity Long is about as high society as her pet skunk. Which is why she’s surprised as anyone when the new head of the Sugarland social set invites her to join the "it" girls. But this is no social call. Verity’s new client needs her to go in undercover and investigate strange happenings at the group’s historic headquarters.
But while spirits are whispering hints of murder, the socialites are more focused on Verity’s 1978, avocado-green Cadillac. And when Verity stumbles upon a fresh body, she's going to need the long-dead citizens of Sugarland to help her solve the crime. Good thing she has the handsome deputy sheriff Ellis Wydell on hand, as well as her ghostly sidekick Frankie. The bad thing is, the ghosts are now whispering about the end of a certain ghost hunter.

My review:

Verity Long is back in another fun adventure.  Verity with her ghost partner Frankie “the German” and her hunky cop boyfriend Ellis will have to pull out all the stops to find out who killed socialite Julia Harper Youngblood and solve a mystery at the Sugarland Heritage Society domain of Ellis’s mother and Verity’s nemesis. I loved watching Frankie fall in love and Verity and Ellis’ relationship growing closer. This is a clean, fun read that I highly recommend.

A Fire in the Blood by Amanda Ashley

Blurb:
-I see a man. He is old. Very old. He will come into your life in a moment of danger. He will watch over you and protect you.- The gypsy's hand gripped Tessa's tighter. -He will bring you death, - she whispered, her voice like the rustle of dry leaves. -And life.-
Ten years later, when Andrei Dinescu saves Tessa from a vicious attacker, she has no idea that the handsome stranger the gypsy fortune teller predicted is not a hunter but a seven-hundred-year-old vampire. Darkly powerful, unbelievably compelling, he is obviously pursuing Tessa, but is it her love he's after or her blood?

My review:
I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet vampire tale. Tessa is a sweet homebody minding her own life when she becomes #1 on the vampires must munch list. Apparently there is an anomaly in her blood that is said to make vampires stronger and word has gone out in the vampire community. Andrei Dinescu is a master vampire who has problems of his own but he isn’t about to see the little human be killed for a rumor. I loved watching the relationship between Andrei and Tessa grow. The secondary characters kept it real and added some spice to the story. Check reality at the door and enjoy.

Fur Fox's Sake (Shifters Undercover #2) by Milly Taiden

Blurb:
In the second novel from bestselling author Milly Taiden’s Shifters Undercover series, two shifters must work together to unravel a gripping mystery while fighting their fierce passion…
Marika Paters has an energy coursing through her that others can’t explain. Maybe it’s the curious fox that lies within that gives Marika joy in her work as a geneticist for the only forensic laboratory for animals. But while her research unravels mysteries—like startling new data that threatens to dismantle everything science knows about shifters—Marika has always felt incomplete, just another lonely shifter looking for her mate.
Following a family tragedy, Fellowship Agent Devin Sonder believes he will never find love. But the panther inside knows his mate is out there somewhere—and he can’t give up. When the bodies of a senator and a mysterious dead wolf lead Devin to kind, playful Marika, he feels a powerful, magnetic attraction…even though their personalities clash.
With more dead wolves found, Marika makes a revolutionary discovery about the origin of the beasts. Together with Devin, she races to find out who could be creating shifters—and why. But can the fierce alpha panther and the fiery, driven fox put their carnal desire aside to hunt down the mastermind before more shifters die?

My review:
Have you read Bearly in Control (Shifters Undercover #1)? No? STOP! Go read Bearly in Control (Shifters Undercover #1) then come back and read Fur Fox's Sake (Shifters Undercover #2).  I feel you need to have read the first book to really enjoy the second.
These stories are not like the quick, fluffy, sexy fun books the author is known for. The Shifters Undercover series takes us in a new direction. These stories are more paranormal suspense than paranormal romance although it has plenty of romance too. And multi shifter Russel gives plenty of comedic relief. Fox shifter Marika Paters is smart, perky, messy and comfortable in her own skin. Panther shifter Fellowship Agent Devin Sonder is an OCD clean freak and totally freaked out to find that Marika is his fated mate all while trying to find out what the story is with the characters from the first book. Some mysteries are solved and new ones have popped up to be solved. I am enjoying this departure from this author and really want to know what happens next.

My review:
There are a lot of romances out there but not a lot of them feature f/f love and that is a shame because love is beautiful and we should embrace it all. The authors in this book have done an incredible job of showing how sexy women are in love.
Soul to Capture by Julie Morgan – This story takes place in the Chronicles of the Fallen world. This is a wonderful story of meeting in the middle and finding that everyone deserves love.
Kiss Me Deadly by Alyssa Breck – Vampire love with a twist.
A Succubus Renewed by Christine Alvarez – Bad girls need love too.
Wet: An erotic mermaid tale by Louisa Bacio – A fantastic twist on The Little Mermaid. The heart wants what the heart wants. (my favorite in this fantastic collection).
Her Fated Mates by Michelle Dare – A hot and steamy read.
Sinful Dreams by Kay Margaret – A wonderfully twisted story.
Stardust by Kristen Strassel – Love doesn’t have to be a fantasy.
Immortal Deflagration by Savannah Verte – Love is a dream for a lonely woman until it becomes very real and lifts her up. I loved this story.
The Seduction of Violette Tournaline by Shawnee Small – I really enjoyed the twists and turns this story took me on. A really fun read.
I really enjoyed this book. I was worried at first that the characters would be forgiven for loving as they would because of their paranormal race but I think the authors did a fantastic job of proving love is love and creating a great collection of romance.

The Wolf's Choice (Black Hills Wolves #64) by Inge Saunders

Blurb:
“I’ll pledge my loyalty to you through a blood oath, if you’ll support my choice of mate.”
Drew sank into his chair. “What does Rebecca have to say? The last time I spoke to her, she didn’t mention you.”
Blaine smiled. He hadn’t earned himself any favors. “She doesn’t know yet.”

Thirteen years ago Rebecca Ferguson died, at least to everyone in the Black Hills territory. With a human mother and unable to shift into a wolf, Magnum Tao, the deranged alpha of the Tao Pack would’ve had both her and her father killed for deceiving him. Magnum didn’t allow humans to mate with members of his pack.
Now Magnum is the one who’s dead, and Rebecca can return.
But coming back from the dead, building a new life after her divorce, and opening a library in town aren’t the only obstacles Rebecca faces. Elijah, her father, doesn’t approve of her being in Los Lobos to the point where he forbids her to get involved with the pack, especially the males.
Their relationship has suffered because of her absence and she hopes to bridge the divide, confident that she doesn’t want a romantic entanglement with anyone human or wolf, anyway.

In walks sexy private detective Blaine Walker.
Thirteen years ago Blaine stumbled on his mate at the local swimming hole. The next day, she was dead. Once he learns Rebecca is alive and living in Los Lobos, he decides it’s time to give up his career in Brooklyn and return to the Black Hills. But he knows it won’t be easy to claim her since Elijah’s unnaturally overprotective. The only way Elijah will back off is to challenge him.

A challenge that will end in one of their deaths.
The Tao Pack’s rebuilding itself and needs to guard against any threats outside or in. For Blaine to have any chance to claim Rebecca, Elijah needs to be dealt with and to deal with Elijah, Drew, the alpha of the Tao Pack, has to sanction the challenge according to pack law.

Rebecca can’t deny the old attraction she felt for Blaine is still there and even stronger now that they are grown up. She’s caught between the man fate has brought back to her and her father, whose affection she’s craved her whole life.
But there’s a secret governing Elijah’s erratic behavior that can cost Rebecca everything she’s worked hard to build and everything she thought she could never have with a man or wolf.
Will Rebecca and Blaine beat the odds stacked against them?
Or will the choices they make ultimately lead them down a path both of them don’t want?

My review:
The Wolf's Choice is a terrific addition to the Black Hills Wolves stories. Blaine recognized Rebecca as his mate the day before she disappeared. He wouldn’t have been able to claim her as she was too young and the former alpha would have killed her had he known she was latent. But there is a new alpha and Rebecca and Blaine are older and his wolf won’t put it off anymore it wants his mate. Problem is Rebecca’s daddy doesn’t want her to mate with a wolf. This story is filled with love, angst and hope. A sweet read.

The Mate Mistake (The Woolven Secret Book 3) by Saranna DeWylde

Blurb:
After waking up in a hotel room in Vegas married to waitress Belle Vaughn instead of wolf heiress Maribella DeVaughn, Parker knows he’s made a mistake of epic proportions. One that his family, money and position can’t fix for anyone involved. There will be no annulment or divorce. Not only because wolves mate for life, but because of Woolven Industries. They can’t afford another scandal. Belle doesn’t understand why it’s such a big deal until the full moon Parker tries to turn her and fails—because she’s a vampire. They aren’t even the same species, but somewhere along the way, the show they put on for human society became real and that mistake became something not only worth dying for, but worth living for, too.

My review:
Finally we get to the fun brother! Parker is the baby brother. He is the one who is not the alpha nor the beta so he can have fun and cut up where his stuffy older brothers can’t. But boy has he stepped in it this time. He was sent to Las Vegas to marry Maribella DeVaughn in his brothers place. It was a political marriage that got resolved in the previous book but we hadn’t found out what happened and why. This story gives us the goods and resolves some issues left unfinished in the previous books. I recommend reading them first so you get the most out of this one.
The previous books are:
Big Bad Billionaire (The Woolven Secret Book 1)
Princess of the Pack (The Woolven Secret Book 1.5)
The Werewolf Tycoon's Secret Baby (The Woolven Secret Book 2)

I really got a kick out of this book. Parker is fun and loveable and deeper than even he thought. I heartily recommend.

Magnolia Mystic (Magnolias and Moonshine) by Lisa Kessler

Blurb:
Skye Olson is a psychic like her mother, and her grandmother before her, but a bad break up with the man she thought was her soulmate has left her confidence in her abilities shaken. While she's in crisis, a real estate tycoon from Atlanta swoops in with his eyes on her shop.

Colton Hayes spent his mortal life plundering royal ships with his pirate crew, but one holy relic changed everything. Now he and the rest of the crew protect the port of Savannah from their captain who traded his cutlass for a fountain pen.

When Colton discovers the captain wants to build a hotel in the heart of historic Savannah, he sets out to stop him, but nothing could prepare him for the violet eyes of the Magnolia Mystic.

Love is a dangerous game for a pirate.

My review:
Actions have consequences. Colton Hayes spent his mortal life plundering royal ships with his pirate crew until he and his crew steal an object that curses them with immortality. Sure it gives you time to build a fortune and learn new and wonderful things but what is life without love? When psychic Skye Olson becomes a bone of contention between Colton (he wants her as a woman) and the captain (he wants her property) maybe she will end up being their redemption. A sweet fun escape that will leave you longing for the high seas.

Fractured Silence (Talon Pack #5) by Carrie Ann Ryan

Blurb:
The Talon Pack continues with a dark secret that could shatter the future of the Packs, or save them all.
Parker Jamenson is the son of three Packs, the sole mediator between every Pack in the United States and Europe, and…he’s dying. He knows he doesn’t have much left in him and is in desperate need of a mate. But with the new and unyielding changes thanks to the Moon Goddess, he might not have as much time as he thinks.
Brandon Brentwood is the Omega of the Talon Pack and the youngest of his family. He’s not only one of the famed triplets; he’s also the most secretive. There’s a good reason for that, however, and when a shocking revelation meshes the past and present in a very unexpected way, he’ll look to not only Parker but also a disgraced human to save them all.
Avery Montag knows she’s the daughter of a traitor and doesn’t have much to give the wolves in the way of atonement. But she’ll do everything she can to pay for her father’s sins and find a way to end the war between the humans and the wolves.
When the three turn to each other in a time of unrest and for vastly different reasons, temptation burns and seduction beckons. Only, the past, present, and future are never as solid as they seem, and the path the trio thought to travel may just vanish before they’re ready.

My review:
m/m/f
Fractured Silence takes us into a new future for the wolves but oh the birthing pains! Carrie Ann Ryan knows how to get you to feel for the characters in her worlds then makes you bleed right along with them. In Fractured Silence the author gives us three broken characters and brings them together for healing and love and the future of the wolves as a whole is riding on them. I read this story in one sitting, well except for the one time I had to put my tablet down and howl NOoooo with the rest of the wolves. Get sucked in and get ready for the future with this terrific story.

Rumpling Riley (Zero, Ohio #1) by Virginia Nelson

Blurb:
Riley Gold likes things neat. He appreciates order, organization. Sure, he wants to find love but he sticks to the kitchen, loving his life as a chef, where he can carefully measure, time, and control every situation.
Basil Culver grew up alone. An orphan, he got bounced from home to home and learned at a young age to keep people at a distance. Attachment meant eventual agony—when the person unfailingly abandoned him. Better to live every moment, allow for the chaos of the universe, and keep rolling.
When these opposites clash, sparks fly. Can Basil manage to rumple Riley’s carefully tucked sheets?

My review:
m/m
Riley Gold is so phobic he can’t even self-pleasure without antiseptic wipes. Basil Culver is a man whore who dips it in a different well every night. Till he can’t. Both these guys need to let go and learn to love themselves. Which over the course of the book they start to do with the help of therapy. They also find and start to love each other.
The story was great. The flow was a bit herky jerky and not a smooth as I am used to from this author but still a fun story.

Dragon Squeeze (Dragon Point #2) by Eve Langlais

Blurb:
Did you know geeky humans squeak when squeezed? Totally awesome.

Adi thinks there are plenty of things that are awesome, such as gravy and cheese on fries, motorcycles that growl, oh, and the fact that she is a wicked dragon with a freakishly cool power.

But do you know what’s more awesome than all that? A certain geeky fellow in charge of the IT department for a medical lab situated in small-town hell.

There is nothing small about Dexter, though. He might blush at certain things, and use his brain—not brawn—to succeed, but the man is built big. And Adi likes big things.

The fact that she likes him won’t mean squat to her mother, though. Dear old Mom will hate that he is human. She will dislike even more Adi’s plan to keep him.

Because he’s mine to keep and squeeze.

My review:
Once again we enter the wacky world that is the mind of Eve Langlais. Dragon Squeeze can be read standalone but is a whole lot more fun if you’ve read Becoming Dragon (Dragon Point, #1) first. In this book Adi gets her guy. Adi is a high energy kind of gal with no filter. Dexter is a geeky IT guy and more. Adi is a silver dragon and Dexter is human. The one thing they both have in common besides chemistry is disapproving mothers. This book is a giggle a minute fun ride.

Hard Rhythm (Secrets of a Rock Star #3) by Cecilia Tan

Blurb:

Are they ready to go all the way?

Maddie Rofel has seen it all. Even the kinkiest games she witnesses working as a hostess in L.A.'s most exclusive private sex club fail to shock her, much less turn her on. Until the night she has a very personal encounter with drummer Chino Garcia, and the two discover an intimate connection neither can deny. Suddenly the jaded hostess is softening under Chino's touch, and submitting in ways she never expected . . .

All his life, Chino has been running from something. Normally he beats back his demons by losing himself in his music. Now he's losing himself in Maddie. And, while it drives Chino wild when Maddie bares her body to him, what he really wants is for Maddie to bare her soul. For that, Chino will have to push Maddie past her furthest limits-and share his own dark secrets.

My review:

Hard Rhythm is an erotic romance that hit all the right buttons for me. Though this is the third in the series it can be read standalone. I loved the character of Maddie. She is self-aware and owns her sexuality. I love that she didn’t just fall into Chino’s arms. I liked that they challenged each other and came out stronger for it. Mixed with the excitement of falling in love there is a sub story that gets a bit dark but is handled with discretion and grace. I love this authors writing and truly enjoyed this book.

The Trail to Love (Soul Mate Tree #4) by Tina Susedik

Blurb:
Jack Billabard, mourning the loss of his wife and baby in childbirth, vows to never to love again. After their funeral at Fort Laramie, he rides into the Wyoming hills beyond the ranch he built for his wife. Through his grieving tears, an ancient tree appears, giving him the hope he doesn't believe is possible. For the next four years, he acts as a guide on the Oregon Trail, taking families to a new life while his looms lonely and stagnant.

The night before her abusive husband’s death, an ancient tree appears in Sarah Nickelson's yard as she agonizes over how to survive her marriage. The tree gives her hope she can’t help but reject. After all, a tree doesn't just appear out of nowhere. After her husband 's death, and with no options as a widow in Independence, Missouri, Sarah decides to travel to Oregon City as a Mail Order Bride.

During their trek west on the Oregon Trail, Jack and Sarah encounter one another, each afraid of being hurt again. Can they survive dogs and puppies, wind and rainstorms, Indians and unfavorable fellow passengers, while their love blossoms? Will the tree fulfill its promise?

My review:
Life and love in the old west was tough and dangerous. Jack lost his wife and their child as she tried to give birth. Sarah lost her abusive husband to the bottle and an accident. Jack escaped by becoming a guide on the Oregon Trail the same trail that Sarah and her young son are taking as she travels to Oregon City as a Mail Order Bride. The trail is no picnic and Sarah and Jack grow close as they fight nature, gossips and men who think that women traveling alone are fair game. Watching Jack and Sarah learn to love again was incredibly sweet. I loved watching them let go of their respective guilt and become a family. A terrific read.

Swinging On A Star (The Hollywood Showmance Chronicles Book 2) by Olivia Jaymes

Blurb:
It’s all make-believe. Smoke and mirrors for the press and paparazzi.

Carrie Johnson, ordinary businesswoman, has agreed to a fake romance with mega movie star Maxwell Hayes. He needs to show he’s not heartbroken after his nasty and public divorce. She wants her family and friends to believe she’s not devastated after being dumped by her fiancé. It’s a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Carrie’s not the type for designer gowns and expensive jewelry, but she finds herself getting dressed up, walking red carpets, and posing for the cameras. With Max at her side, she’s dancing the night away and having a ball. Life with the gorgeous actor is better than she’d ever dreamed.

Max may play the handsome and charming prince for the tabloids, but Carrie’s no princess. This relationship has an expiration date and there will be no happily ever after. It would be crazy to let her heart get involved. Wouldn’t it?

My review:
Carrie Johnson is mourning the loss of her multi-year engagement when she meets a very drunk mega movie star Maxwell Hayes who is feeling used by his almost ex-wife. When the self-absorbed Max suggests a “Showmance” to help them both get past their respective troubles Carrie is at first defiantly against the idea. She doesn’t even like this guy how is she to pretend to love him. He is the actor not her. But when Carrie walks in on his ex giving him grief she pretends she is his new lover and the Showmance is on. Carrie knows there is more to Max than the cold bastard front he puts on. She just has to get to know him. Max doesn’t trust very many folks in his life. Everybody wants something except it seems Carrie. She isn’t in the business and could care less how big a star he is except for whether it makes him happy or not. Can Max thaw enough to let Carrie in? Will Carrie be his worst nightmare or best dream? Will life find them Swinging On A Star. I really enjoyed this story. I’ll admit to having my doubts about Max but in the end he stole my heart too.

Cat Got Your Cash (Kitty Couture Mystery #2) by Julie Chase

Blurb:
Lacy Marie Crocker’s whimsical pet couture has gained a following in New Orleans’s cozy Garden District, and word of mouth has traveled all the way to her favorite fashion designer, Annie Lane. Lacy’s thrilled when Annie schedules a private session at her home to discuss a companion line for her evening wear, but when Lacy arrives for the appointment, she enters the kitchen to two mewling Siamese cats--and one very dead Annie.
Lacy takes the kittens home to care for them until they can be properly claimed by Annie's family or friends, but after a busy day of work, she returns home to find them missing. And when Lacy learns the cats are set to inherit Annie's fortune, she begins to wonder if the killer was after the kittens all along. Now Lacy will stop at nothing to save the Siamese and find justice for Annie--if the killer doesn’t sink his claws into her first.
Luckily, Lacy has the help of handsome NOLA PD homicide detective Jack Oliver to help her catch the cat-napper before its too late in Cat Got Your Cash, the endearing second Kitty Couture mystery from Julie Chase.

My review:
Cat Got Your Cash (Kitty Couture Mystery #2) by Julie Chase is a sweet and fun cozy mystery. Lacy Marie Crocker designs clothes for pets. She is trying to make a go of it without help from the deep pockets of her parents. She is thrilled to have gotten an appointment with hometown celebrity designer Annie Lane about possibly creating a companion line for her designs. Kind of like mommy/doggy outfits.  Too bad that when she shows up for her appointment she finds Annie dead. Now the killer seems to be after her. Good thing she has hunky homicide detective Jack Oliver and the also hunky Chase Hawthorne looking after her. Food, fun, fashion and frolicking Cat Got Your Cash is a delightful read.

Death from Abroad: Target Practice Mysteries 6 by Nikki Haverstock

Blurb:
When a renowned international archery team arrives for training camp, they bring with them elite athletes, drama, and murder.
Di’s plan for quiet time with Great Dane Moo and handsome Liam is interrupted when Bordistan National Coach Natasha is found dead in the snow. Instead of cuddles, Di finds herself roped into solving the murder with one of the visiting star archers, Ivana. That gets more interesting when Di discovers Liam was once engaged to the stunning beauty from Bordistan.
Can she sort through the secret complications to find the truth before time runs out?

My review:
Di and Moo are back! This cozy mystery has an international flair. When the Bordistan national archery team comes for training camp the head coach takes a fatal blow to the head. And everybody wants Di to figure it out because when the Bordistan government reps get there things will get dicey for the regular folks and Di can poke her nose in where the officials can’t. Things with Liam are heating up just about the time Di meets his ex. Death from Abroad is fast paced sweet fun.
