My Wolfy Wedding: In Between (Peculiar Mysteries Book 8) by Renee George

Blurb:
The big day has finally arrived!
Billy Bob Smith and Chavvah Trimmel cordially request the honor of your presence on their happy (disastrous) day.
To celebrate (survive) their union on Friday, the Twenty-First of December, Two Thousand Eighteen at Four-Twenty-Three p.m.
Destination: Peculiar, Missouri.

The only thing Chavvah wants more than to marry Billy Bob is to have his baby, but since that ship has sailed thanks to prior trauma, she's happy just to get down the aisle with him and make their life together official. The date is set for the Winter Solstice, marking the longest night of year, but a challenge from an unexpected guest, is turning her special day into a fight-club nightmare. And after having postponed the wedding twice already, Chav is starting to think fate hates her guts.

On top of that, there are almost forty werewolves camped out on Billy Bob's property, claiming that Chav and Billy Bob are their new leaders. But when Chav tries to get her spirit guide, Brother Wolf, to cough up answers, he ignores her. Worst, the silent deity is sending her BFF Sunny visions that are taking a physical toll on her human friend's all too frail body.

Throw in Billy Bob's manipulative father, Chav's pushy mother, and other surprise guests, these two furry lovebirds may never make it to "I do!"

My review:
My Wolfy Wedding is another laugh out loud instalment in the Peculiar Mysteries series. This delightful story has Billy Bob and Chavvah and their third try at getting married. But nothing is ever easy and they have a couple of surprises coming their way. I love this series and this is a great addition.

'Roo and the Angel (Furry United Coalition #7) by Eve Langlais

Blurb:
What idiot decided to make the Jones boys official agents with a license to F.U.C.?

Jeb did something bad. And no, he didn’t murder anyone—recently. Nor did he put itching powder in his brother’s jockstrap—again. He did, however, smuggle a test subject out of an experimental lab against orders.

In his defense, he saved an angel.

At least that is how Jeb sees Nevaeh with her shadow wings. She’s a maiden in need of rescue and a sweet girl—until you get on her bad side. Then things get really interesting—and violent. Which might be kind of why everyone is so interested in getting their paws on her. And don’t get him started on A.S.S. shaking its tail feathers, too.

Everyone wants a piece of his angel. Know what he says? Too bad. So sad. Because this stubborn ’roo has decided he wants her as his mate.

My review:
A bunch of raucous ‘roo shifters to the rescue.  This hilarious entry in the Furry United Coalition series will have you laughing out loud, exhausted from the chase and will leave you with a smile.

A Merry Monster Holiday (Banshee Creek #3) by Ani Gonzalez

Blurb:
A fun, humorous holiday romance... with monsters!

Stuck in a snowstorm is bad. Stuck in a snowstorm with the ex-boyfriend you sort-of, kind-of betrayed is even worse. Add a mysterious critter prowling outside and the kooky antics of WPRV, the Most Haunted Radio Station in the USA, and it's a spooky Christmas like no other.

My review:
A Merry Monster Holiday is a delightfully quirky second chance romance. I laughed and giggled through the whole book. I might have enjoyed it even more if I’d read the others in the series (which I intend to do now) but I was still able to appreciate the characters and their various relationships to each other. A truly enjoyable story.

Club Phantasm: The Complete Series by Dagmar Avery, K. Margaret, Stella Price

Blurb:
A spin off of the Apocalypse Rising series, Club Phantasm follows four demons in Philadelphia PA.
The good half of twins, the cousins Anthan are set to have their worlds turned upside down by the 4 mortals they will fall in love and bond with over the course of one year... but things are never easy and their evil twins are out to make sure that doesn't happen.
Join us for a ride into the underbelly of Philadelphia... decadent, glamours and filled with pastries.

The Bundle of the Club Phantasm series. 4 Full length novels:
WORTH
KEPT
EXPOSE
CRAVE

My review:
I so love this compilation.
Worth - We met Jessica in the Apocalypse Rising series but she was mourning her BFF’s death and didn’t want to rain on her other friends happiness so she takes her show on the road and finds love in the most unlikely of places. Harex Athan is hot, disgustingly wealthy and a demon. I really enjoyed this steamy romp if only because it put a smile on Jessica’s face. If you think a demon can’t be sweet check this story out. Harex may be more hot than sweet but he has his moments.
Kept - The incubus and the accountant. Sterling Athan is an incubus who has had his eye on Kinley Anderson the accountant for Club Phantasm since she started working there but she is human and a good girl and taken. When Kinley breaks up and breaks out Sterling is ready to catch her. They may look like total opposites but they are perfect for each other. I really enjoyed this sexy and exciting tale. I want a Marley of my own.
Expose - Harlow Athan is a water demon and as bad a$$ as they come. She is a fantastic baker. I think she is as surprised as we are to find her fated bond mate is a truly nice guy. I laughed out loud when I wasn’t sighing over Maddox. Truly a terrific read.
Crave – This is the story of my heart. The hero isn’t an alpha but he is strong just the same and just perfect for Xezabeth. This story is sweet and funny and hot as hell and will leave you smiling from ear to ear.

Holiday Chords: A Contemporary Romance Anthology

Holiday Chords: A Contemporary Romance Anthology by La'Keah Shannelle,  Sonya McKinzie, Terri A. Wilson, Angela Scavone, Chandra Trulove Fry, Jeff Ducker, Jennifer Wedmore, J.C. Layne , K.T. Munson, Cynthia Stanton

Blurb:
Various authors come together to bring you contemporary romance stories that tug on the chords of your heart with some holiday cheer. Cozy up on the couch with a warm blanket and a nice hot drink and delve into these romantic goodies.

My review:
Do you like curling up on the couch and watching the holiday movies on Lifetime and Hallmark channels? If so this anthology is for you. It is filled with sweet (if predictable) tales of love, second chances and redemption at Christmas time.
Devine Destination by La’Keah Shannelle – Who says you can’t go home again? Sometimes you need to leave to see what you had.
The Christmas Connection by Sonya McKinzie – This one will make you cry. Young lovers torn apart by tragedy get a second chance.
Merry Frenemies by Terri A. Wilson – When he done you wrong but it turns out to bet the best thing that ever happened to you. Fun, silliness and multiple chances.
Home for Christmas by Angela Scavone – Girl leaves home and what she thinks is the love of her life to follow her dreams. She makes it big and is now coming home for the first time and can’t avoid the ex. Things always look different from afar and sometimes you need to come home again to realize that. This is a sweet and fun story.
Holiday Blues by Chandra Trulove Fry – This one starts out sad but will lift your heart. Sometimes good things come out of bad.
Bring Daddy Home by Jeff Ducker – Being away from home on the Holidays is hard. But I think it is just a bit harder for military families with loved ones in harms way. This one will have you breaking out the tissues.
Working With Scrooge by Jennifer Wedmore – Business man trying to start in a new town thinks to use school kids to schmooze his way into the heart of the community. He didn’t count on their teacher to teach him the meaning of Christmas. Sweet fun.
Christmas Diner by J.C. Layne – I loved this story! Rock and roll star alone in his room on Christmas eve depressed because success isn’t everything and missing the one that got away. With the help of a couple of eclectic guardian angels maybe he will get his Christmas wish.
Alaskan Christmas by K.T. Munson – This is another going home tale that will leave you with a smile.
Christmas Spirit by Cynthia Staton – This was a clever attempt at a prequel to A Christmas Carol but left me confused. They were married but then they were engaged but then they were married or not. I think the story could have used a good editor but I liked the concept.

A Shifter Christmas Carol (Shifters Unbound #11.75) by Jennifer Ashley

Blurb:
Dylan Morrissey forgoes the Shifters’ traditional Yule celebration, to his family’s dismay. Instead, he joins Ben at the haunted house in New Orleans, planning to meet with potential, if dangerous, allies in the Shifters’ constant struggle for freedom.

But the sentient house has other ideas. Dylan wakes up—or rather doesn’t—unable to move or speak, and is taken on a journey to the past, present, and future.

Ben, Zander, and Tiger are his guides, but is what they are showing him truth?

Return to Shiftertown for a Shifters Unbound take on a classic Christmas tale!

My review:
Dylan Morrissey isn’t exactly Scrooge but he is focused and determined to the exclusion of other important factors in life. In this Christmas tale Dylan like Scrooge is forced to take a look at his life past, present and future and make some important decisions. If you love the Shifters Unbound series like I do you will enjoy watching get his butt kicked metaphysically. A wonderful Christmas tale.

Anice (The Cursed Clan Book 5) by Melissa Schroeder

Blurb:
Get the thrilling conclusion to the Cursed Clan Series!

A woman destined to save her family.

Anice has always felt left out. Granted, not on purpose, but when the only female who spent two centuries with her cousins and brother, it's hard not to. Now that all of them have found their mates, she is ready for her happy ending. When she falls for Brody Stewart, Anice is thrilled he is interested.

A man who hides his true self.

Brody has spent his entire life hiding his true self from the world. When his sadistic cousin gives him a chance at freedom, he takes it. He has no issues seducing a woman--until he meets her. Anice is his mate, there is no doubt, and he cannot imagine a life without her. Now he has to play a careful balancing act protecting both her and his family.

A love that cannot be denied.

When Brody's deception is uncovered, Anice wants nothing more to do with him. Unfortunately, it's revealed he is essential to the last quest. As dark forces close in on the Mclennans, Anice and Brody will have to learn to trust each other, or lose everything they hold dear.

My review:
OMG! I cannot tell you how moved I was by this book. Up till now my favorite Mclennan had been Fletcher but his twin Anice stole my heart. She showed that there are strengths outside the physical. And she was so strong.
I usually have a love/hate relationship with the last book in a series but the author handled this masterfully. If you haven’t read the other Cursed Clan books I highly recommend them. The titles may lead you to think historical romance but these are pure PNR.
This was a sweet, sexy and moving story that left me with a smile on my face.

Merry Inkmas by Talia Hibbert

Blurb:
Enjoy another Dirty British Romance by Talia Hibbert, author of Bad for the Boss. Christmas just got sexy…

"There's a beast inside of me. I keep it caged. You drive it wild.”

Cash Evans has come a long way since his troubled childhood, but all the wealth he's earned as a tattoo artist can't fix the hole in his heart. He knows that the sweet barista who haunts his dreams is off-limits... But life doesn't always go to plan.

”There isn’t a man on earth who could ruin me.”

Bailey Cooper is determined to learn from her mother's mistakes. She's seen how cruel love can be, and she's not about to sacrifice her self-respect for a relationship. But when a bad boy with a heart of gold comes to her rescue, she finds herself wondering if this beast might just be her Prince Charming.

Will these two lost souls find a happy ending under the tree this Christmas?

Or is their love doomed to wither with the mistletoe?

Merry Inkmas is a steamy Christmas romance starring a brooding, bad boy hero and a Black, BBW heroine. Be warned: this love is hot enough to melt any winter frost!

My review:
Merry Inkmas is a sweet tale of love with two people who need to let go of the past in order to have a future. This story takes place in the UK so you will need to deal with the cultural differences as well. Overall I enjoyed this sweet and sexy story.

Slumber (The Sleeping Court Book 1) by Dagmar Avery and K. Margaret (Audio)

Slumber (The Sleeping Court Book 1) by Dagmar Avery and K. Margaret

Blurb:
Once upon a time a princess was betrayed, and her kingdom was stolen from her. She hid her most precious object in the human world, a princess of the blood, in the hopes that the Sleeping Court would get a chance to take their rightful place as high court in the realm Faerie.

Now, a new generation has come of age, and the crown must be passed. The reigning Queen’s daughter will claim the throne uncontested unless those that remember, and waited to awaken the wayward princess can ally with her.

But as with all tales of Faerie, it is not without peril, danger and intrigues. For our sleeping princess must awaken, choose her guard wisely, one that will help her save all her allies and avenge her family.

Or history will repeat itself.

A Reverse Harem Romance.

My review:
I read this awhile ago and enjoyed it but the audio version is a whole nother experience. The narrator, Joshua Macrae, adds a delicious accent and wicked tone that adds an element of enjoyment I hadn't gotten from the book. Beware you will blush.

Slumber is the first in a new RH fantasy by Dagmar Avery and K. Margaret and a terrific beginning it is. We get to meet Princess Verity who has been living among humans her heritage unknown to her. We get to see her start to build her court and find her powers. I enjoyed the book but was left wanting more. Bring on the next installment.

Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires #1) by Chloe Neill

Blurb:
First in a brand new series about a Chicago graduate student's introduction into a society of vampires.
Sure, the life of a graduate student wasn't exactly glamorous, but it was Merit’s. She was doing fine until a rogue vampire attacked her. But he only got a sip before he was scared away by another bloodsucker?and this one decided the best way to save her life was to make her the walking undead.
Turns out her savior was the master vampire of Cadogan House. Now she's traded sweating over her thesis for learning to fit in at a Hyde Park mansion full of vamps loyal to Ethan ?Lord o? the Manor? Sullivan. Of course, as a tall, green-eyed, four-hundred- year-old vampire, he has centuries? worth of charm, but unfortunately he expects her gratitude? and servitude. But an inconvenient sunlight allergy and Ethan's attitude are the least of her concerns. Someone's still out to get her. Her initiation into Chicago's nightlife may be the first skirmish in a war and there will be blood.

My review:
Yes, I know this series has been out awhile and I just got around to starting it. The story is terrific. There are things that didn’t age well (technology, fashions and music) but if you can get past that I enjoyed Merits introduction to the vampire world and her desire to be the best person she can be even if she now has fangs. I’ve already started the next book in the series.

Scrooge Me Again (Paranormal Dating Agency #18) by Milly Taiden

Blurb:
***While this is a standalone story, it is best enjoyed once you've read the other PDA books***

Zaria Grande can’t believe she’s invited to a royal birthday party...on another planet and accompanied by a matchmaker! The friend who invited her is clearly nuts. Another planet, hah! But...what if she begs this matchmaker to hook her up? It’s about time she found a strapping hot shifter to cuddle with this Christmas. As long as he’s no Scrooge, she’s open to anything.

Jaded by the Earthling’s materialistic mentality during the holidays, Quint Treyvaal doesn’t care much for parties and socializing. But he wants a mate. He asked Gerri to find him a female and she delivers a few hours later. Talk about express service! Losing his mate the next day isn’t part of the plan. Time to show Zaria this lion’s the only man for her.
Quint’s hard work to romance Zaria is put to the test when a wrench is thrown into his plans. For Zaria, leaving her life on Earth might be asking too much. Quint’s going to need extra help to get his mate to see that loving him is a chance worth taking.

My review:
I loved this story. It answered so many questions I had about the cultural differences between the Earth women and their alien mates. This is a sweet and sexy story that I highly recommend.

Song of the Soul (Muse Chronicles #7) by Lisa Kessler

Blurb:
His destiny is tied to hers…

Mikolas Leandros carries the Guardian’s mark, and has been working behind enemy lines trying to protect the Muses from the Order of the Titans. The moment he lays eyes on Trinity Porter, the Muse of Music, a power awakens inside of him, a primal need to protect her.

Trinity has lost two of her Muse sisters to the Order of the Titans, and just because the sexy Greek billionaire claims to be her Guardian doesn’t mean she can trust him.

With Kronos on the loose, the stakes couldn’t be higher as Trinity and her sisters open the legendary Theater of the Muses. But the longer Mikolas works at Trinity’s side, the more he comes to realize that love is the only thing worth fighting for, and in the end, love could save them all.

My review:
Song of the Soul is the culmination of the Muses story. All of the surviving muses have found their Guardians but Trinity the Muse of Music. When she finds out that Mikolas is her Guardian she figures the Fates are out to get her. First Ted and now Mikolas both part of the organization that is out to destroy the Muses and their Theater of inspiration. But all things are not as they seem and watching the truth come to light is as much fun as watching the Muses and their Guardians take on the Titans. This is a sweet, sometimes sad but truly lovely story of love and redemption. A wonderful end to the series.

Stone Obsession (The Cursed Seas Collection ) by Julie Morgan & Giveaway

Blurb:
Dark magic doesn’t die easily. Luckily, neither does she.

In a world racing toward extinction, the Siren Amaryah fights for survival. Under the plagued waters of Antarctica, she faces sea creatures mutated into predators by an old, dark magic. The frozen lands above are riddled with danger, as well, where Pirates, Magicians, and Islanders all vie for power.

A single Legacy Stone could change all that—it could bring back the world Amaryah lost. And she plans to find it. After all, if there’s nothing left to live for, she has nothing left to lose. Or so she thinks.

Dark magics have ways of fighting back, and she’ll face more threats than ever before—not least of all the possibility of a long-forbidden love.

A love she may have to sacrifice in order to save her world.

Stone Obsession is a standalone paranormal romance featuring Sirens, Humans, Pirates, and Mages in the Charmed Legacy shared world series.

My review:
I LOVED THIS STORY! There is so much going on in this wonderful tale I just want to gush. This story features terrific world building, scary monsters, wicked villains, nasty politics and a strong determined heroine. Ariel has nothing on Amaryah.

Rough Trade (The Woodbury Boys #3) by Sidney Bell & Giveaway

Blurb:
Quick-witted hustler Ghost is no stranger to living dangerously; survival has always been the name of the game.

He’s just always gone it alone.

Now he’s got the wrong people breathing down his neck, and the only way out demands placing his trust in the unlikeliest of heroes: Duncan Rook, a gruff cop whose ethics are as solid as his body.

Cozying up to a criminal is hardly what Duncan’s reputation on the force needs—especially when that criminal is temptation personified. Ghost is Duncan’s polar opposite, and the last person he expected to fall for.

So then why does every imaginable scenario for taking down their common enemy end with Ghost in his arms?

My review:
m/m
Ghost hasn’t had it easy and is used to fending for himself but he is in it deep this time and could use a bit of help even if it comes in the form of a cop. Ghost tore me up and spit me out. I fell for Duncan right away and was right there with him wishing that Ghost would want to want more for himself.
I loved this story. It took me a bit to get into it because I hadn’t read the first two books (a situation I plan to remedy quickly) but I was able to follow and make some assumptions as the story progressed. This story will make your heart go pitter pat. You will laugh, cry and sigh.

Bearly Shifted (Mates of Bear Paw River #1) by Everleigh Clark

Bearly Shifted (Mates of Bear Paw River #1) by Everleigh Clark

Blurb:
Nissa Alexander returns to Bear Paw River ten pounds and one boyfriend lighter with an attitude screaming 'Leave me the hell alone'. The last thing she needs is her older brother, the Alpha, lecturing her about settling down and true mates. Hell, he doesn’t even have his own mate, so he has no right to talk.

And then, there’s the hunky bad boy, who’s working a missing person’s case in her neck of the woods. He needs to stop sniffing around before someone gets hurt. Nissa’s heart has been trampled on enough these past few years. She is absolutely not going to fall for this lone wolf. Not gonna happen. But her bear isn’t taking no for an answer.

Zach Werner is on the hunt. But this time, it’s not for a predator or a bad guy to bring to justice. His job is to find a missing woman. Why the Florida wolf pack is paying so much money to find this female, Zach doesn’t know. And he doesn’t care. His job is his life. At least, until he meets Nissa. After a brief tangle in the woods, Zach knows this curvy beauty is his mate.

Can he convince her he’s the wolf for her and stay alive long enough to finish the job?

My review:
I really enjoyed this short story. Bearly Shifted is a steamy story of a repressed black bear shifter and a wolf shifter who has issues of his own. I loved watching them get together and watching Nissa resolve some of her problems with her other self. I am jumping into the next book now.

Claws, Class and a Whole Lotta Sass (Dragon Guards #15) by Julia Mills

Claws, Class and a Whole Lotta Sass (Dragon Guards #15) by Julia Mills

Blurb:
The books in this epic saga can be read as stand-alone stories, or you can experience all the love, thrills, and exploits of the whole series from beginning to end. It's up to you. ENJOY!

Hiding in plain sight as the Pack Healer for a bunch of wolves was the perfect cover…

Using ancient magic to hide her true nature hadn’t always been easy, but it beat the hell outta being dead...then he waltzed in. Six foot-nine inches of pure male dragon, looking better than a man had a right to and making her dragoness wake from a long hibernation to spread her wings, not only rocked Dannika’s world, it almost turned it upside-down. As if that wasn’t bad enough, an evil as old as time and twice as deadly has reared its ugly head. Her ability to hide behind her patented sassy attitude may have kept Dannika safe for all these years, but now the future of all things paranormal is at stake and only she holds the key to its survival...well, at least part of it.

It was supposed to be a simple cross country trip, but then, he’d heard that somewhere before…
Since the death of his father almost a century ago, Wolfe McCallum’s life had been a series of incredible ups and devastating downs that made riding a roller coaster seem like a walk in the park. It also didn’t help that he freely admitted to being more stubborn than a mule and twice as contrary. He prided himself on being able to outlast, out argue, or just plain irritate anyone on the planet into giving up without raising a single claw or breaking a sweat...until he damn near tripped over the most beautiful woman in the world.

One look…one kiss…one extraordinary night…

Secrets unlocked, Destiny knocking at the door, and a Fate that will not be denied. Keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times, be prepared for sudden stops, and by all means – buckle up. Fireworks are the least of your worries when one bull-headed dragon and his sassy-since-birth dragoness are faced with saving not only themselves, but everyone and everything they hold dear.

The Universe may not make mistakes, but She doesn’t make things easy either. It’s gonna take claws, class, and a whole lotta sass to save the day this time.

My review:
Claws, Class and a Whole Lotta Sass is a fun and sexy dragon shifter romance. Guardian dragon Wolfe doesn’t want a mate. He saw what his parents went through and doesn’’t want the pain. Dannika has been living a lie for a long time hiding out with a wolf shifter clan. When these two meet it is intense. The chemistry is off the charts and destiny won’t let either of them deny their connection. Surprises abound.

Dragons' Jewel (Nightflame Dragons Book 1) by Milly Taiden

Blurb:
Gianna Harris doesn’t think twice when joining a program seeking surrogates for an alien shifter planet whose female population was decimated during war. It’s better than grieving a mother who doesn’t remember her. With tears, Gianna says her goodbyes then travels to planet Daeria where she meets not one, but two sexy dragons who claim she’s their mate.

As the dragon king and leader of the shifter council, Voss has a duty to rebuild the planet after a shifter war destroyed everything. The surrogate program was supposed to be simple. The female volunteers are assigned to the shifter species they want and are not forced to do anything they don’t want.

When Voss caught the scent of one of the first females to arrive at the spaceport, he and his best friend, Azar, break a few rules to claim their true mate. They steal her away from the wolves she was assigned to. And a particular wolf wants her badly enough to start another war if she isn’t turned over.

Readers: This is a smokin' new series with badass dragons and sassy women that will keep you on your toes. If you like menage, get to reading.

My review:

Dragons' Jewel drops us into new worlds with new possibilities. This is the first in an exciting new series and if the rest are anything like this one I can’t wait.
