Iron Master (Shifters Unbound #12) by Jennifer Ashley

Blurb:
Stuart Reid is an Iron Master—a Dark Fae with a rare ability to make iron do his bidding. Exiled by the High Fae who fear him, he now lives in a simple house in Shiftertown outside Las Vegas, watching over Peigi, a bear Shifter woman, and the cubs she cares for.

Peigi, rescued from an evil Shifter and welcomed into the Vegas Shiftertown, knows Reid and the cubs have helped her survive and heal.

She also knows Reid is alone and lonely, a strong man coping with his exile. The bond she feels pulling her to him scares the crud out of her—she’s been down this road before.

When Reid’s people send him a desperate call for help, Peigi senses danger to him—too much of it. She finds she’ll do anything, even sacrifice herself and her happiness, to keep him safe.

A Shifters Unbound full-length novel.

My review:
Finally! Two of my favorite characters come together in a story filled with love and adventure against the backdrop of hate and bigotry. Exiled Dark Fae Stuart Reid has lived and worked among the shifters for years now helping where he can while trying to find his way home. Peigi is a female bear shifter who was among the rescued abused shifters that found themselves in the Vegas Shiftertown. Peigi has taken in six orphaned shifter cubs and they’ve begun the journey to healing.
This is a story of two lonely people who find home in each others arms all while fighting off those who want them to do harm or want to harm them because they might do them harm.  This book made me laugh, cry and sigh. A terrific addition to the series.

The last thing this widow needs is a bossy biker up in her business... especially the biker who turned her down cold when she offered herself to him.
It may be February, but hearts and flowers are the last thing on Dani Geary's mind. She's too busy struggling to keep her art shop open.

And the last woman he should ever trust—in business or in pleasure.
Will love's sweetness be worth the sting?
Ride along with the Devil's Flyers. The bigger the alpha… the harder he falls.
Each book can be read as a standalone, with a HEA, no cheating, and honey-sweet, turn-up-the-heat romance!

My review:
I loved this story of second chance romance. Dani Geary is a biker widow and couldn’t be happier because her husband was a serial abuser. Dean ‘Grinder’ Geary is a biker down on his luck and cousin to Dani’s husband. When he shows up at her door sparks fly and not the good kind. But time turns these enemies to lovers and more. This is a sweet and sexy tale that will leave you smiling. I love this series. This story can be read standalone.

She won’t ever negate her pre-Arsenal deficit, but she’ll try. Her past work now threatens everyone she cares for and exposes secrets she’s kept buried. The mysterious man tasked with keeping her alive is more lethal than anything she’s ever concocted.

Everything has a price.

He’s survived his entire life with no one. Why should he change? When Rhea’s past threatens The Arsenal, Fallon is forced to question everything he’s valued. She’s a liability in the field, but he’s not about to let anyone harm the woman who’s more dangerous than any explosive he’s ever created.

Together, Rhea and Fallon are one volatile chemical reaction away from going up in flames.

My review:
Fallon Graves is a lone wolf, a solo operator or was until The Edge saved his life now he runs a group of former merc’s for The Arsenal. He’s never had a home until now. Rhea Strathmore is brilliant. She enables The Arsenal operatives including Fallon and his team to do the job. But when trouble from Rhea’s past creates problems for the The Arsenal they are all going to have to pull together as a team to save the world. No room for lone wolves.
I absolutely fell for Fallon and Rhea. These two damaged souls are the perfect balm for each other. I love that the author normalizes mental health care. This is an exciting thrill ride that will leave you with a happy heart.

Spellbound in Salem (Casters and Claws #1) by Milly Taiden

Blurb:
Book 1 of an amazing new series! Get ready for witches, wolves, magic and romance. All in Salem!

He might be a police officer, but she knows she can take care of herself. She doesn’t need the help of a man, no matter how hot he is.

Sheriff and wolf shifter Zane Cross has one mission: get the Bishop women safely away from Salem and the order of witch hunters intent on riding the town of all witches. He doesn’t have time to deal with his wolf howling at him that they’ve finally met their mate. Especially not since the woman in question refuses to follow him to safety until she is attacked.

In the secluded cabin, far away from the threat of death, the grumpy sheriff and headstrong witch will have to find common ground in order to survive the Order of Salem’s attack. Can Raven put her pride aside and let love save the day?

My review:
This is a story of hate versus love. In this fast paced tale we have Raven a witch with trust issues. Zane a wolf shifter cop taking his job way too personally and a bunch of bigoted lunatics after Raven and her family. Zane knows he can keep Raven safe but what the sassy witch is doing to his heart he may never recover from. This is a sexy fun romp with serious undertones that will both entertain you and get you to thinking.

Shake That Sass (Dire Wolf Mates #1) by C.D. Gorri

Blurb:
He’s an Alpha looking for a home. She’s an outsider with no one to call her own. Can they find what they’re searching for in each other?

Derrick Rand is an Alpha Dire Wolf, a rare and powerful species of Shifter. Tired of the nomadic life, he’s looking for a place to call home. He receives an email from a female Shifter inviting him to a small town called Blue Creek. Seemingly ideal, he and his crew fill their tanks and mount their bikes for the long ride to meet Barbara Wolfe.

Lucy Corwyn is a Bobcat Shifter passing through the Wolf infested town of Blue Creek. After her junker breaks down, she is stranded there without a cent to her name. Not-so-big Cats rarely mixed with other species, especially not ones that considered her a snack!

Without the money to pay for the repairs needed, Lucy has to find a job. The only one available seems to be at the new biker bar in town, Serious Moonlight. Lucy knows she needs to get the hell out of town before some dumb Wolf tries to make her into a chew toy, so she seeks out the owner about a position.

Imagine her surprise when the sexy as hell Alpha turns out to be her mate!

Lucy isn’t about to make things easy on the big guy. No way.

If that big bad Wolf wants to catch this little she-Cat, he better shake that sass.

My review:
Cats and dogs don’t mix or do they?  Lucy Corwyn is a Bobcat Shifter and Derrick Rand is an Alpha Dire Wolf and fate has declared them mates. But Lucy isn’t going down without a fight. Lucy is sweet and sassy and nobody’s fool. Derrick is hot and Alpha and a bit used to getting his way. I loved this steamy tale and look forward to future installments.

My review:
I LOVE THIS SERIES! This installment is less forensics clean up and more emotional clean up. Dave is an in the closet cop and self-described ahole. Forging their bonds was only the first step, but will it be enough to sustain them in the face of new challenges?*Please note, this is a reverse harem and the authors suggest you always read the forwards in their books. This is the third in a trilogy.

My review:
WOW! This story took a turn I didn’t see coming but boy did it make me smile. Khloe and the guys are neck deep in political intrigue and maneuverings and they need to find a way through that doesn’t mean war and the death of millions. Leave it to Khloe to find a unique solution. Loved this trilogy and will re-read when I need a smile.

Love Overrules the Lawyer is a sweet second chance romance. This is a sweet if angsty tale of two hearts meant to be together, a man doing what he thought was best for her (without discussing it with her), a forgiving woman and the magic of Cat's Paw Cove. Javi is smooth and sexy if a little too high handed. Rachel has grown up and is an amazing attorney but that confidence doesn’t follow into her personal life. A Falling Starr: The Complete Trilogy by Dani Hoots

Blurb:
A year ago I had woken up with no memory of who I was. No one seemed to know anything about me and for months the police investigated only to find nothing. The only thing I had was a necklace with the name Angela Starr.

The government gave me an ID with that name and let me enroll in a community college to get my GED. All the psychologists that they had examine me thought that would be best and going to school might jog some memories since they figured I was in my late teens. Well, it did, as I ran into a boy my age that I felt I knew, but before I could fully recover those memories, we found ourselves being chased into a portal that led to the other side of the universe.

But why did this other planet seem so familiar?

My review:
A Falling Starr is a YA SciFi tale of a young woman with amnesia and her journey to finding herself.  This is a trilogy but reads as one story. I enjoyed watching Angela find her strength and courage to fight for what she believes in. An enjoyable escape.

My review:
Magical Blessings tells of the healing power of self-confidence. Believing in yourself allows others to believe in you too. Abby and Beau each needed to learn this for different reasons but when the lesson is learned they could fall for each other. This is a sweet story with an important lesson and an adorable teacher.
