Dark Panther by Catherine Vale

Blurb:
When the curvy waitress, Leia Jacobs, comes face-to-face with the insanely gorgeous stranger in the bookshop, her world is suddenly turned upside down, and everything she thought she knew about herself turns out to be complete bullshit.

She isn't such a tough girl with the hard exterior, after all. At least not in the presence of Nathan Archer (aka: Mister Perfect), but there is something about this guy that spells danger, something about him that gives Leia the impression that she should run away as fast as she can. Except her heart is telling her something very different, and she finds herself falling hard for the mysterious man with the dark past.

But there's trouble brewing in paradise when Nathan tells her what he really is, and what he really wants. He's an edgy bad-boy with a taste for bondage. He's also a man that never takes no for an answer.

Note To Readers: This is a sexy shapeshifter BDSM story of a panther and his wicked desire for a BBW chick who doesn't go down easily. If you are offended by erotic romance stories where the hero likes to tie his woman up and make her his, this is probably not the book for you. For those who love to read about hot sex, curvy women and possessive men, enjoy!

My review:
Dark Panther is a sexy shifter romance with some twists.  Leia meets Nathan in her favorite bookstore and the attraction is there from the very beginning but she is cautious. She has an ex who is a shifter and he has been stalking her. He is her ex because he was abusive and she had had enough. She is afraid of herself and for anyone she might become involved with but Nathan attracts her enough that she might just take the chance.
There is a lot going on in this story and the author keeps you guessing. I like that Leia thinks things through and is trying to be independent. I like that Nathan, despite appearances, isn’t perfect but he wants to be for Leia.
Dark Panther is a fast paced sexy read that may push some hot buttons if you have problems with violence. I really enjoyed this book.
