They’re all hometown heroes, guys from small towns who’ve made a name for themselves, big or small, who’ve withstood the odds and risen to the challenge, who are heroes in their own right.

WILD RIDE (Changing Gears, Book 1) by USA Today author Nancy Warren--Trouble is piling up in the small town of Swiftcurrent, Oregon with hints of a treasure missing since WWII, a motorcycle riding bad boy history prof, a sexy librarian and a murder. It all adds up to a very Wild Ride.

HEARTBREAK ON A STICK by USA Today and New York Times author Sabrina York--When the man who broke her heart ten years ago suddenly returns to town—a hot shot movie star—Gina Fox is determined to avoid him. But for some reason, Jason Sherwood is pursuing her again.

MADRONA SUNSET by bestselling author Jami Davenport--Meet a wounded warrior suffering from paralyzing guilt and a woman pining for her dead husband--both damaged souls craving comfort for a moment or a lifetime.

SHE'S WORTH IT ALL by bestselling author Cathryn Cade--Mase Barnett is a hometown hero with a secret. Natalie Cusco has a broken heart only a strong man can heal. Will this wounded hero risk everything to show her she's worth it all?

DECEIVING DANTE by award-winning author Kate Davies-- A stolen car on her front lawn. A sexy cop - looking to arrest her favorite student. A principal ready to fire her. Could Ellie's Monday get any worse?

ROCK, RATTLE AND ROLL by USA Today bestselling author Cari Quinn and bestselling author Taryn Elliott--A beachfront cottage, hours of alone time, and plenty of skin-on-skin action is just what the rock star and his new wife ordered—until the future comes much quicker than they expected.

HIS ONLY DESIRE by Adrianne Lee-- Nick Rossetti married the wrong twin sister. Will the right one ever forgive him? Not if her stalker has his way.

EVEN HEROES CRY by Hildie McQueen--War widow Tesha Washington slowly draws Adam Ford out of the shell that used to be a man, and learns there really is such a thing as starting over.

TROUBLE WITH A COWBOY by Sandy Sullivan--Can some slashed tires and an ornery bull bring two hard-headed people together for some fun in the sun...and a little more?

My review:

This is a super fantastic box set for a great cause.  There are 16 stories in this set and I devoured them all.  These are not short little 3 chapter stories they are full tales with a beginning, middle and end.

A LITTLE HARMLESS SEX by Melissa Schroeder – This is the first in the fabulous A Little Harmless series and the tamest one of the bunch but still a fun read.

CHANGE THE GAME by Lucy Monroe – This is a short fun romantic suspense from the wonderful Lucy Monroe.

WILD RIDE (Changing Gears, Book 1) by Nancy Warren – Nancy Warren is a new to me author but not for long.  I will be looking for her work now.  The characters in this one will keep you smiling and there is a really good mystery too.

HEARTBREAK ON A STICK by Sabrina York – I got a kick out of watching Gina grow and Mr. Fox is sex on a stick.

MADRONA SUNSET by Jami Davenport – Break out the tissues this one will tear you apart.
BRACE FOR IMPACT by Allie K. Adams – Action adventure and some really scary moments.

HONORABLE SACRIFICE by Destiny Blaine – This one reads like the start of a new series and like any Destiny Blaine story this one is sizzling hot.

SHE'S WORTH IT ALL by Cathryn Cade – This was a pleasant surprise.  I’ve read the first three books in the Club 3 series and hadn’t expected any new additions.  I hope this story is the beginning of a new arc.  Mase is a cop who goes to Club 3 (a fet club) which allows him to indulge in a safe and legal environment.  Natalie was screwed over by her ex but now he is dead and she is trying to reclaim her life.  But trying to re-open her bar with the locals against her may need police intervention.  This is a sweet sexy addition to an already terrific series.

DECEIVING DANTE by Kate Davies – This is a fun one.  This cop is hot for teacher.

ROCK, RATTLE AND ROLL by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott – What is more heroic than helping out a loved one in the middle of a crisis?  This story takes place after Rocked (Lost in Oblivion #1) but does just fine as a standalone.

GRAVE DANGER by Rachel Grant – Great mystery with a bit of romance.  Although there were times I really wanted to Gibbs slap the hero Mark Colby.

TURNING THIRTY-TWELVE by Sandy James – This was one of my favorites as the hero (cop) and heroine (teacher) are both in their 40’s. Proving that love is lovelier the second time around.

HIS ONLY DESIRE by Adrianne Lee – Another great mystery with a hot cop and sexy smart Deputy District Attorney.

EVEN HEROES CRY by Hildie McQueen – A woman starting over after losing her husband to war and her new neighbor who suffers from PTSD.  Maybe they can heal each other.  Warning keep the tissues handy.

THE VIXEN & THE VET by Katy Regnery – Another favorite in this set and by a new to me author.  Veteran hero Asher Lee has been hiding out at home hiding the wounds he received .  Savannah his home licking her wounds after losing her job on a NY newspaper.  Maybe they can help each other out and start anew.

TROUBLE WITH A COWBOY by Sandy Sullivan – Sometimes being a hero is helping another out and allowing them to be themselves.

Thank you so much for sharing!
I think a hero could be anybody. If we all just did a kind action one person that day when they needed it the most. You saved them from something bad happening, you could be that person's hero. Mine is my mom. Incredible woman, all around supportive of me and my feelings and does her best to keep me happy over the phone since they live 5 hours away now! A wonderful woman and mother..... my hero!

An interesting question - What makes a hero? The interesting thing is, I don't think heroes are made, I think they just are. They are are special breed of person who thinks of others first - the fireman, the policeman, the soldier, the mother (or father) protecting her child, the neighborhood kid mowing the lawns of all the seniors. They don't do it because they want to be heroes or even expect to be. They do it because it is needed.

Heros come in all shapes and sizes. A hero is someone that is willing to put their own wants and needs behind the needs of the many.
They donot do something because they have to, only because it is the right thing to do!

I think a hero is defined by their character strenghts and even more by their flaws and how they handle situations. Somebody's Here by Jamie O'Neal is an excellent song that I think fits this question.

Thanks for featuring the bundle! I'm thrilled you enjoyed Turning Thirty-Twelve!! :)

Thank you so much, Donna for loving this bundle and for this awesome giveaway. A hero to me is someone who stands up for those who can't stand up for themselves. Like my hero in HIS ONLY DESIRE.
