Mad About You by Joan Kilby

Blurb:
Accountant Cassy Morris knows she’s putting her heart on the line when she agrees to move in with her best friend, multi-millionaire geek Scott Thornton while she manages his nanotechnology lab and finds an angel investor for his revolutionary new product. She’s loved him forever even though he’s only ever regarded her as a friend. But Cassy never could refuse Scott anything...

When Scott is named Seattle’s sexiest man, the attention from women threatens to get in the way of him finishing his pet project and putting it on the market. Cassy steps up once again and pretends to be his fiancé. A lifetime of repressed sexual tension explodes in a passionate affair. Soon Scott is wondering how he can convince Cassy to turn their fake engagement into reality...

My review:
“New to me author” Joan Kilby has put a wonderful spin on friends to lovers tale Mad About You.  Every time I thought I knew what was going to happen next she managed to surprise me.  I adored Scott and the Geeks.  Goodness knows Cassy needs a sense of humor to bridge the gap between the Geeks and the rest of the world but she does it with love and kindness.  For a light fun sweet romance add this to your list.

Waiting On You (Blue Heron #3) by Kristan Higgins

Blurb:
Does being nobody's fool mean that you're nobody's love?

Colleen O'Rourke is in love with love... just not when it comes to herself. Most nights, she can be found behind the bar at the Manningsport, New York, tavern she owns with her twin brother, doling out romantic advice to the lovelorn, mixing martinis and staying more or less happily single. See, ten years ago, Lucas Campbell, her first love, broke her heart... an experience Colleen doesn't want to have again, thanks. Since then, she's been happy with a fling here and there, some elite-level flirting and playing matchmaker to her friends.

But a family emergency has brought Lucas back to town, handsome as ever and still the only man who's ever been able to crack her defenses. Seems like maybe they've got some unfinished business waiting for them—but to find out, Colleen has to let her guard down, or risk losing a second chance with the only man she's ever loved.

My review:

This is the third in the Blue Heron series of loosely connected books can be read stand-alone.  This is what Kristan Higgins does best sweet and funny romance.  This is a second chance romance that will have you laughing and crying and jumping up and down.  Great characters in a fabulous setting with a heartwarming story.

Fly Guy Next Door (Freefall #2) by Brandy Walker

Blurb:
Marlowe Scott is living the dream. She bought her first house, opened Whispers, a lingerie boutique, and is seeing her hot next-door neighbor Kegen Ferris. The only hang-up in her ideal life…she’s falling for Kegen harder and faster than she thought possible. She’s not sure that’s the best move she’s ever made.

My review:
I LOVED this book.  It was even better than the first.  Mostly because I liked Kegen better.  We met Kegen Ferris and his brothers in Caught in the Moment (Freefall #1).  He is the quiet middle brother.  But still waters run deep.  He needs someone like Marlowe in his life.  She is outgoing and fun and not afraid to take risks except with her heart.
Brandy Walker tells this sweet and sexy tale so that you feel you know these people and care about what happens to them.  This is a well written story of two hearts finding each other at the right time and place.  I love that she was true to her characters and understood that all three brothers are very different souls even though they are so close.  I can’t wait to see Rev fall.

Unwound (Mastered #2) by Lorelei James

Blurb:
When sensei Ronin Black first encounters Amery Hardwick, the fire in her eyes ignites a sexual spark a thousand times better than the primal rush he used to get from mixed martial arts matches. She accepts his darker edges and admits to him that her desires aren’t as wholesome as he believed. And before long Ronin is grappling with emotions he’s never felt before….

Yet despite demanding Amery bare her body and soul to him, Ronin holds a part of himself back. When she learns Ronin’s secret and walks out, his life begins to unravel.  To regain her trust he must let go of his pride and prove to her that it’s more than passion binding them together. But after their private pleasures are made public, Ronin is unsure if he’s the right man for Amery. Can they face the consequences together? Or will their differences rip them apart?

My review:

This is not a stand-alone book.  To understand this book you need to have experience Bound (Mastered #1).  If it weren’t for the secondary characters I might have given up on it.  Amery has this great guy, true he isn’t perfect but he is bending over backwards to make it up to her and every time he screws up she walks (I didn’t realize this was a hot button for me until this book). There are some incredibly beautiful scenes in this book. This book is sensual and erotic and quite honestly not quite as good as the first but still worth the read.

Hope Smolders (Hope 0.5) by Jaci Burton

Blurb:
A HOPE NOVELLA

Jane Kline is a struggling divorcee and single mother with a social life on hold. Not only does Jane not have the time to date anyone, she’s not even going to consider making herself vulnerable to another man after being deserted by her husband. That’s why Will Griffin, her ex’s former best friend, takes her totally by surprise.

What would such a hot and sexy wild card see in a harried mother juggling two kids and two jobs? For starters, everything Jane no longer sees in herself. As she dares to take the flirtation to the next step, Jane finds herself back where she never wanted to be—falling for another man. Now it’s up to Will to convince Jane that she has everything he wants in a woman, and that the second time around can be the best time of all.

Hope Smolders previously appeared in Hot Summer Nights.

My review:

Hope Smolders is a sweet and sexy tale of a woman starting over.  Jane has been burned.  Her ex, Vic, loved his addictions more than Jane and their two children.  Now two years later his best friend, Will, has asked her out.  They have both been hurt by Vic can they move past the past and build a future together?  I got a real kick out of this story.  As a (formerly) divorced mother of two I could so relate to Jane and the issues involved with dating as a single parent.  The author handled it with class and understanding.  Welcome to Hope.

Divine Solace (Nature of Desire #8) by Joey W. Hill

Blurb:
Book 8 in the Nature of Desire series.

After too many failed relationships, Gen has settled into a quiet, acceptable life as a middle-aged single woman. But then she meets Mistress Lyda and her sexy male sub Noah, and the two of them give her a different view of “acceptable”—as well as a renewed longing for the type of love and romance she thought had passed her by.
Gen has been Marguerite Winterman’s employee at Tea Leaves for some time, and has a close relationship with the reserved, intimidating woman. It isn’t until Mistress Lyda steps into her life that Gen understands why she’s always felt safe under Marguerite’s direction. And with the intriguing Noah guiding her in the world of Domination/submission, Gen’s about to discover a new way to love—and live.
Inside Scoop: Gen’s journey includes references to male/male relationships and a beautifully erotic portrayal of two women falling in love within the ménage.

My review:
Joey W. Hill is an incredible wordsmith.  I think she tries out each word for form, function, taste, temperature, flavor, nuance, color, scent and purpose.  It is because of this that you are never let down by one of her well-crafted tales.  Each book is an erotic and sensual experience.  Divine Solace is a F/f/m story that will make you feel.  You will laugh, cry and sweat.  It came very close to breaking my heart.  Although this is Book 8 in the Nature of Desire series it can be read stand-alone but fair warning it will make you want to go back and read the others.

Bite Me (Pride #9) by Shelly Laurenston

Blurb:
Livy Kowalski has no time for idiots. When you shapeshift into a honey badger, getting through life's irritants is a finely honed skill. Until she gets stuck housing her nutso cousin and dealing with her dad's untimely and unexplained demise.
That's where Vic Barinov comes in--or his house does. Vic can't step outside without coming back to find Livy devouring his honey stash and getting the TV remote sticky. It gets his animal instincts all riled up. But he'll have to woo her at high speed: all hell is breaking loose, and Livy is leading the charge.

My review:
Shelly Laurenston makes me laugh.  This series always picks me up.  Shelly Laurenston’s Pride series is filled with sigh worthy fellows and super snarky women.  The stories are well told.  They are filled with action, adventure, love and laughter and each and every one has a subtle subplot speaking out against things like bullying, prejudice, self-esteem issues and the like without being preachy.  All this goes to say I LOVE THIS SERIES!  This story is no different.  Hunky Bear-tiger Vic (No I am NOT a professional athlete) has never encountered anyone like honey badger Livy Kowalski.  Livy lives by her own set of rules, speaks her mind and makes no apologies for who or how she is.  He is amazed that this tiny woman has absolutely no fear and he likes that about her. These two get into some serious scrapes but only come out stronger for them.  Note: We get to catch up with some of the characters from the earlier books so if you haven’t read them you won’t get it.  You can probably read this stand-alone but then you will want to go out and get the rest of the series.

I was lucky enough to receive an eARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.  I honestly LOVED this book and think you will too.

This book goes on sale March 25th

Unwanted Mate (Shifters & Bikers #1) by Rebecca Royce

Blurb:
For years, shapeshifter Gunther West has known Judy is his mate. His little human isn't so sure. But a tragedy brings her knocking on his door seeking comfort, which Gunther is more than ready to provide. Neither can deny the sparks that fly, but are those sparks enough for forever?

My review:
This is a really short story.  You are introduced to the fact that these too people have known each other for 2 years and he has known that she was his intended mate.  He has apparently fought off the biological imperative until she comes to him. Now that she has he plans to make the most of it.

I really think this story needed more pages.  The sex is smoking but how do you turn life affirming sex into a future?  I really liked Gunther but the push me / pull you vibe from Judy was a bit off putting.  That being said this is a quick hot escape that is worth the time to read.

Feral Heat (Shifters Unbound #5.5) by Jennifer Ashley

Blurb:
Jace Warden is sent to the Shiftertown in Austin to find a way to free all Shifters from their Collars. But pulling off the Collars can cause Shifters to go mad or kill them outright.

In Austin, Jace meets Deni Rowe, a wolf Shifter with troubles of her own—she was deliberately run down in the road, and while her body has healed, she still has episodes of total memory loss during which she retreats into her pure animal self.

Jace has never met anyone like Deni. Courageous and beautiful, she volunteers to help him test the Collar removal. And as Deni and Jace work together, they feel the mate bond begin. But can Jace help Deni believe she can heal enough to be anyone’s true mate?

My Review:
Welcome back to Austin’s Shiftertown.  This novella reunites us with some old friends.  Deni hasn’t been the same since she was purposely forced off the road while riding her motorcycle by humans trying to capture shifters.  She has bouts where she loses control and her wolf goes feral.  We met Jace in Mate Claimed(Shifters Unbound #4).  Jace has come to Austin to help with research into removing the restrictive collars all shifters are forced to wear.  He doesn’t count on meeting Deni and finding her to be his mate.  They have a lot to overcome and a short time to do it.
Another fun, sexy multifaceted romp in Jennifer Ashley’s world of shifters.  I always find something new each time I read her work.  Smart, well written, and entertaining as hell.

As the bodies start piling up, Mercy must put her personal troubles aside to face a creature with the power to tear her whole world apart.

My review:

I waited for 2 years for this book and read it in one day.  It was totally worth the wait.  I love the world of Mercy Thompson.  This book has Adam’s ex in trouble and wanting them to help her out.  If she can help herself to Mercy’s world she isn’t above trying for it.  She has to know that Mercy won’t take it sitting down.  Action, adventure, Magic, love and laughter this book has it all.

Ball & Chain (Cut & Run #8) by Abigail Roux

Blurb:
Home from their unexpected deployment, the former members of Marine Force Recon team Sidewinder rejoin their loved ones and try to pick up the pieces of the lives they were forced to leave behind. Ty Grady comes home to Zane Garrett, only to find that everything around him has changed—even the men he went to war with. He barely has time to adjust before his brother, Deuce, asks Ty to be his best man. But that isn’t all Deuce asks Ty to do, and Ty must call for backup to deal with the business issues of Deuce’s future father-in-law.

Nick O’Flaherty and Kelly Abbott join Ty and Zane at the wedding on an island in Scotland, thinking they’re there to assuage Deuce’s paranoia. But when bodies start dropping and boats start sinking, the four men get more involved with the festivities than they’d ever planned to.

With the clock ticking and the killer just as stuck on the isolated island as they are, Ty and Zane must navigate a veritable minefield of family, friends, and foes to stop the whole island from being destroyed.

My review:
m/m
Ty & Zane are back.  Ty is home from deployment.  Ty & Zane are learning each other again.  Deuce and Livi are finally getting married and they are having the wedding on an island in Scotland.  Deuce asks Ty to bring one of his Recon buddies as added security.  Nick & Kelly join the party.  When a dead body is found on the beach things start heating up.

This is a terrific addition to one of my favorite series.  There is a lot of laughter, sadness, mystery, action and love. I will never look at a tube of hydrocortisone cream the same again. I love these guys and hope to enjoy many more adventures with them.

Alpha's Strength by Rebecca Royce

Blurb:
Cyrus runs Manhattan with an iron fist. He will keep his pack safe whether they want him to or not. But something is missing and lately he is more on edge than ever. With his pack at risk and the Alphas of Philadelphia and Boston breathing down his neck, he doesn’t anticipate the arrival of his true mate, particularly when he finds her in a coffee house across the street from his office building. She’s not only identical to the mate of the alpha of Philadelphia but has no idea that werewolves even exist, let alone that she’s one herself. Cyrus is determined to protect her while he solves the mystery of her life.

Betsy, strong, smart, and determined, has been suffering for months trying to keep her parents alive. She doesn’t know where the werewolf who followed her home came from and she doesn’t care, he just needs to leave her alone. But as Betsy gets to know Cyrus, she will discover things about herself that she’d never believed possible. She’s the only one who can help Cyrus keep his pack safe—especially when the true believers are out to destroy them.

My review:
Life changed for Betsy the moment Cyrus followed her into Starbucks.  Betsy is in an untenable position being blackmailed into marrying a man she hates to protect her parents.  Cyrus is the Alpha of the Manhattan Pack of werewolves. Born to protect and Betsy’s fated mate.  Problem is Betsy is latent and doesn’t know she is a werewolf and then there is the whole protect the folks thing.  Cyrus runs a whole pack he isn’t going to let a little thing like a fiancé and extortion stop him from getting the one thing that is for him alone. Betsy’s heart.
This is a fast paced, sometimes intense read loaded with plenty of tongue in cheek humor.  Betsy is stronger than it first appears and Cyrus will need every bit of that strength.  Lots of wonderful secondary characters to build on.

I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Owing her very existence to the magic that sustains her, Pepper reluctantly agrees to seduce the handsome agent and sabotage his surveillance, though she's not sure how a woman without a dishonest bone in her body will make it work.

Finn Mickelson's investigation into a crime family is only a smokescreen to keep his real targets off balance. Nothing will keep this witchborn from digging into the secrets of the Royale-not even a Southern belle with honeyed tones and a sweet smile.

He quickly sees through her ruse, yet he finds himself falling under the spell of her porcelain doll beauty, even wanting to help her. But for love to take hold, they'll have to play the house in a game that's stacked against them...or lose their lives.

Warning: Contains lies, deceptions, twists, turns, behind-the-scenes plotting, a man with a revengenda, a Southern belle who just wants to live her life-and a game they didn't know they were playing.

My review:
I read a lot so when I find something fresh and different I just gobble it up.  This series is unlike anything else I’ve read and damn if it is fun.  This story has it all - romance, mystery, magic, fun, sorrow and a little bit of sex thrown in for good measure.  If you are looking for escape this is a wonderful series to take you away. You could probably read this stand-alone but I think you would get more out of it if you’ve read the earlier books.  And isn’t the cover pretty.

Love Hacked: A Reluctant Romance (Knitting in the City #3) by Penny Reid

Blurb:
There are three things you need to know about Sandra Fielding: 1) She makes all her first dates cry, 2) She hasn't been kissed in over two years, and 3) She knows how to knit.

Sandra has difficulty removing her psychotherapist hat. Of her last 30 dates, 29 have ended the same way: the man sobbing uncontrollably. After one such disaster, Sandra--near desperation and maybe a little tipsy--gives in to a seemingly harmless encounter with her hot waiter, Alex. Argumentative, secretive, and hostile Alex may be the opposite of everything Sandra knows is right for her. But now, the girl who has spent all her life helping others change for the better, must find a way to cope with falling for someone who refuses to change at all.

My review:
The third installment of the Knitting in the City series may just be the best one yet.  These funny, quirky, original romances are loosely connected but can be read stand-alone.  Everybody knows someone like Sandra.  She is the fix-it girl.  The one who’s shoulder you can cry on.  The one who has never met a stranger. Sandra goes on a lot of first dates but few second ones as she knows what she wants or thinks she does.  Alex is not even on her radar except he is.  Alex is the hot, younger guy with the made for sex voice that is the server at her favorite restaurant and not the type of guy she usually dates.  He has witnessed her disastrous string of first dates.  They are so wrong for each other but so right.  I loved this story.  Alex and Sandra made my heart go pitty pat.

I received an ARC from the author in return for a fair and honest reviewGo buy this book and the ones before it.  You can’t go wrong.

This book goes on sale in March.

Fortune doesn’t shine on Guinevere Jones and Zac Justis in the mesmerizing continuation of the New York Timesbestselling series.

The Sinister Touch

When Guinevere Jones discovers that a so-called fortune-teller is making big profits by deceiving her clients, she vows to expose the scam. Now Zac—who will do anything to keep Gwen safe—helps her uncover the deadly deceptions of a blackmailer and killer out to destroy every trace of the past.

My review:

I was almost sad to finish this knowing there aren’t going to be any more books with Zac and Gwen.  The stories were fun and it was terrific watching Zac and Gwen grow as a couple.  Again terrific fun action and adventure.  Well worth the read.

Desperate and Deceptive: The Guinevere Jones Collection Volume 1 (Guinevere Jones #1 - 2) by Jayne Castle

Blurb:
The Desperate Game and The Chilling Deception, together for the first time!

Meet Guinevere Jones—a woman with a talent for love and trouble—and Zac Justis—her sexy and dangerous partner in crime—in the first two books in the New York Timesbestselling series.

The Desperate Game

It’s hard to keep a small business afloat—just ask Guinevere Jones, owner of a struggling temp agency. And security consultant Zac Justis isn’t making her life any easier. After he blackmails Gwen into helping him solve a computer crime, she finds herself caught in a web of suspense, danger, and love.

The Chilling Deception

A temp job as an executive secretary gives Guinevere Jones access to high places—and sets her instincts for danger tingling. Convincing Zac Justis to provide security for her client during a meeting on the wintry San Juan Islands gives her peace of mind, but brings them face-to-face with a dead man determined to avenge the past.

My review:

It is nice to go back every once and a while and read a favorite authors earlier stuff.  With that in mind I jumped at the opportunity to pick up the Guinevere Jones books by Jayne Ann Krentz aka Jayne Castle.  These stories have Ms. Krentz’s trademark chemistry, action, adventure and mystery.  They show a little age but the stories still hold up.

Accidental Seal (Seal Brotherhood #1) by Sharon Hamilton

Blurb:
Christy Nelson embarks on her new career in Real Estate by holding her first open house. Entering the wrong house, by accident, she finds the nude sleeping body of a young man.

Navy SEAL Kyle Lansdowne, on a mission to find his AWOL Team buddy, is staying at his buddy’s home while investigating the disappearance. When someone breaks in, he takes protective measures. He doesn’t expect to find that a beautiful young woman is responsible for his teammate’s abduction.

What starts out as a meeting by accident becomes a hot affair neither one is ready for. Kyle is conflicted about getting Christy involved in his mission, but his hand is forced when he learns the same San Diego gang responsible for his teammate’s abduction has kidnapped her.

Battling a cadre of dirty law enforcements hell-bent on getting military equipment, especially state-of-the-art firepower, Kyle is forced to admit that he would die to protect her

My review:

I won the audio book of this story and was excited to give it a try as I am a huge fan of Military romance and had heard great things about Ms. Hamiltons work.

I was a little disappointed with this book because I wanted to punch out the hero. He was about as angsty as Edward Cullen. He has the hots for this woman and wants her but he doesn't want to want her. On again/off again. Man up SEAL. As for the female lead she continues to lust after this guy even after he treats her so poorly. If it wasn't for the secondary characters in this story I might not have finished it.  That being said I will read the next in the series because I did like the secondary characters and look forward to getting to know them better.

Ready to Fall by Daisy Prescott

Blurb:
When you fall, you fall hard...

Every girl dreams of meeting a man like John Day. Tall, dark, and handsome is an understatement. With rugged good looks, his ever present plaid shirt, and a dog named Babe, John is a modern alpha male lumberjack in more ways than one.

Lurking beneath the flannel and beard could be the heart of a romantic. Or is John a wolf in flannel clothing?

After his favorite neighbor rents out her cabin for the winter, John finds himself playing fireman and tour guide to Diane Watson, a beautiful brunette with her own messy past and recent battle scars.

Will he be ready to fall in love? Or will he fall back into his old, flirty ways?

Hold onto your heart... and get ready to fall with John Day as he tells his story in this contemporary romance/romantic comedy told in male POV.

This is a spin-off from Geoducks Are for Lovers. It is not necessary to read that novel first.

My review:
This is a sweet, at times sad, story of second chances and opening your heart to love. What fun was unusual (to me) is that it is told from the hero’s point of view.  It was a change of pace and there were times I found myself saying would a guy really think that?  All in all a sweet, funny, sexy read.

This book was recommended highly to me by a favorite author.  When I picked this up I had no expectations. I had never heard of Daisy Prescott.  This book is a spin-off and now I want to go back and read the first book.

Wanted Fevered or Alive (Fevered Hearts #6) by Heather Long

Blurb:
Meet Jason Kane. The third son, the secretive one, the keeper of lies—he’s driven by personal demons he can’t outrun. A man on a mission, he wants what he can never have.

When the spirit fever struck a town, a village, or an outpost, it left few—if any—
survivors. The white man blamed the Indian, saying they used their mojo on them. The Indians blamed the white man for angering the spirits. The survivors knew it didn’t matter. The Fevered were forever changed.

Threats overshadow everything they are trying to build…

Jason’s always been the outsider, the one with dreams and aspirations to leave Dorado. Rising from the ashes is bittersweet, but he keeps his grief private. His enemies know where he is and his family wishes he was gone, so he throws himself into building the town they love even as his heart remains decimated.

She left to pursue a dream and returns to a nightmare.

Olivia Stark grew up in Dorado, the town darling despite the severe handicap of blindness. When Jed Kane offered to pay for her admission and expenses at a special school for the blind back east, her parents sent her away. The four years gone from Dorado were a struggle, but nothing can compare to returning home to find everyone—everything—she knew in ashes.

Conspiracy, controversy, and craving block him at every turn.

When Olivia arrives in the half-built town, Jason’s world turns upside down. Her grief rends his soul, but he rejects her lest anyone discover what she means to him. Desperate to send her away, he’s not prepared for her steadfast refusal. Olivia’s waited for Jason most of her life and she won’t leave him now.

His desire. Her determination. Their destiny.

My review:
I stayed up way past my bedtime to finish this book.  I couldn’t put it down.  I will admit I wasn’t real fond of Jason from the previous books.  He was autocratic, convinced he knew best and often downright rude.  Turns out there are reasons for him being an ass.  You would be too if you could hear everything everybody was thinking.  And lord they never stop!  Its enough to drive you insane or at least make you act like an ass.  Throw in doing dirty jobs so you can keep your family safe and well you get someone like Jason.  In the last book Jason came home to find the town of Dorado destroyed and burned to the ground to destroy any chance of the Spirit Fever spreading.  It also destroyed any chance of Jason finding peace with the death of Olivia Stark he has lost the one person who he doesn’t hear. Who calmed him like no other.  Except Olivia just stepped off the stagecoach.  Maybe there is hope for him yet.
This story was so engrossing I skipped dinner and read late into the night.  Jason finally redeemed himself in my eyes.  He may never be my favorite Kane but he is a man of honor and he is coming around.  This is a faced paced often intense read but so worth it.  Fans of the Fevered will delight in Jason and Olivia’s story.

Blurb:

Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg, New York Timesbestselling authors of The Heist, return in this action-packed, exciting adventure featuring master con artist Nicolas Fox and die-hard FBI agent Kate O’Hare. And this time around, things go from hot to nuclear when government secrets are on the line.

Internationally renowned thief and con artist Nicolas Fox is famous for running elaborate and daring scams. His greatest con of all: convincing the FBI to team him up with the only person who has ever caught him, and the only woman to ever capture his attention, Special Agent Kate O’Hare. Together they’ll go undercover to swindle and catch the world’s most wanted—and untouchable—criminals.

Their newest target is Carter Grove, a former White House chief of staff and the ruthless leader of a private security agency. Grove has stolen a rare Chinese artifact from the Smithsonian, a crime that will torpedo U.S. relations with China if it ever becomes public. Nick and Kate must work under the radar—and against the clock—to devise a plan to steal the piece back. Confronting Grove’s elite assassins, Nick and Kate rely on the skills of their ragtag crew, including a flamboyant actor, a Geek Squad techie, and a band of AARP-card-carrying mercenaries led by none other than Kate’s dad.

A daring heist and a deadly chase lead Nick and Kate from Washington, D.C., to Shanghai, from the highlands of Scotland to the underbelly of Montreal. But it’ll take more than death threats, trained henchmen, sleepless nights, and the fate of a dynasty’s priceless heirloom to outsmart Fox and O’Hare.

My review:
Kate O’Hare is no Stephanie Plum.  She is a tough, battle trained, no nonsense FBI agent who tracked down and caught her man, internationally renowned thief and con artist Nicolas Fox, and now she has to work with him.  Nick has convinced Kate’s bosses that he will steal and con for them should they need it but only if Kate is his handler.  Now the Chinese are coming to town to pick up a rare artifact from the Smithsonian only it isn’t what it seems.  The original has been stolen and the museum has been displaying a fake.  It is up to Nick & Kate to find the original and get it back before the Chinese have a chance to authenticate.  This is a case that will take them around the world and put them into tight corners and near death situations.  Life has never been so much fun.
This is the second in this series and I do hope they keep it going the chemistry between Kate and Nick is fun and I’d like to see where it goes.  The mysteries and cons are great and somewhat mind-bending.  They have a terrific cast of support characters who provide enough comic relief to keep you laughing throughout and the action will leave you gasping for breath.

Jon Black's Woman (Branded # 4) By Tilly Greene

Blurb:
Jon Black was part Native American, but that didn’t define him. Being a retired Marine and cowboy who managed his friend’s ranch didn’t either, but they all had a part in making him into a man. Tall, strong and handsome, he was the dream catch for single women and some married ones across a few counties. The dominance he displayed in the bedroom was exciting, hot and pulled even more ladies into his bed, but only one woman struck him silent and ripped his need to the surface—Molly.

An English rose by way of Japan comes to Montana and is everything he wants in his life. Has he finally met his match, his mate for life or is she too much for him to handle?

Branded Book 1 is Ride ‘em [bondage, D/s and ménage], Book 2 is Konnichiwa Cowboy [D/s and Multicultural] and Book 3 is Giddy Up [bondage, tattoo and toys].

This is a Contemporary Western Erotic Romance + bondage, tattoo and toys.

My review:

Oh my! Break out the ice this is a super sensual erotic ride from out Montana way.  Tilly Greene has done it again.  This is an intensely erotic but oh so sweet romantic romp.  We met Jon & Molly in the earlier books and now we finally see them get together.  It has taken a bit but oh my goodness it was worth the wait.  I think even Jon was surprised at how right Molly is for him.
I received a copy from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review
