Sharp Shootin' Cowboy by Victoria Vane

Blurb:
TAKE YOUR BEST SHOT, COWBOY…
A Weary warrior… After eight years as a Marine sniper, war-scarred Reid Everett is back in his native Wyoming. He knows and loves this rugged land, so working for wildlife services to reduce the booming wolf population suits him to a T.

A Caring crusader… Wildlife biologist Haley Cooper is desperate to make a difference. Leaving the world of academia behind, she accepts a position as a wolf advocate to protect the animals she loves.

Raw attraction… Their jobs set them on a collision course, but chemistry sparks like wildfire between Reid and Haley. They’ll have to brave some rough territory if they hope to reconcile their polarizing views with a passion that won’t be denied.

My review:
Opposites attract but can they be together long term?  Cowboy Marine Reid Everett wants to give it a try but wildlife biologist Haley Cooper is scared to try.  These two are day and night.  She is an only child who grew up indoors in her head reading and following intellectual pursuits.  He grew up in a loud boisterous family outdoors.  She is left and he is right but there is that spark of something that makes the country gentleman think the city girl might just be the one for him.  Her heart and body agree but her brain just can’t let her take the risk.  Follow these two through an eight year journey to finding a middle ground.
I loved this book because I can identify so much with these characters.  My husband and I are opposites and have learned to agree to disagree about several hot button topics. It was a blast watching these two find common ground outside the bedroom.
