My review:
Sarah Smith is a young woman who shouldn’t be. She was born
into a family with no magic yet she seems to have quite a bit. To keep all who know the truth out of trouble
Sarah is taken under the wing of her family employer and is transformed into Cassandra
Reed. Cassandra gets to go to school and learn about magic and live a life that
Sarah had no chance at. She is chosen by a powerful magic artifact her first
day at school. She learns about friendship and she and her two bff’s prevent a
zombie apocalypse ala Harry Potter. This is a well written fantasy and I really
want more. This is a book with female heroines you can be proud of. I heartily
recommend.
