My review:
Love Beyond Time is
the first in The Outsiders series by Rebecca Royce. As with any new world there is a tendency to
info dump to bring you up to speed about what folks can and can’t do in this
series. Ms. Royce avoids this but it
made the book feel like one of those rides at the amusement park where you
slowly climb up just to rush screaming to the bottom. The first part of this story was a little
slow but totally necessary to get to the good parts. You have the classic battle between good and
evil. Something that Ms. Royce does very
well. I ended up staying up way past my
bedtime to find out what happened.
Despite the slow start this is a fantastic read. The
characters are engaging and real (despite their abilities). The interaction between Kal and Isabelle is
hot and the other outsiders are intriguing.
You can bet I will be reading the next in the series.
