Angel Seduced (The Hidden #3) by Jaime Rush

Blurb:
My name is Kye Rivers. I am a Deuce Crescent, which means I have magick running through my veins. Even though my family is Deuce, too, I have always felt like an outcast. Why? Because my particular gift revolves around sensuality, which makes my family uncomfortable. I get my validation and satisfaction from helping people with their sexual pathos. The price for my magick is that falling in love interferes with my abilities. Losing my abilities, and my career, isn’t worth getting involved with some guy who will probably break my heart anyway.

When I met the new bartender, a rare Caido who works at the nightclub that serves as my office and second home, I felt an electric draw like never before. Even scarier, Kasabian isn’t like other angel/human Crescents, who are cool and asexual. Kasabian craves emotions…and he craves me. I fear that what’s different in him is dangerous for both of us.

My review:
This is the third in a series but can be read stand alone.  All three books run concurrently.  Each book focuses on a faction – Deuce, Dragon, & Caido and the attempts of one their respective gods attempts to return and the lengths their minions will go to to make that happen for them. Each book focuses on a couple who it falls to foil the plot and if they happen to find love along the way so much the better.
In this book Kye (a Deuce) is the key to helping Kasabian (a Caido) save the children that the bad guys are draining to power the gods return.  The clock is ticking and they are fighting the bad guys and their feelings for each other.

This is a fast paced, action packed, paranormal romance with occasional bouts of steamy sex thrown in for fun.  I gobbled it up.

Going for Four (Counting on Love #4) by Erin Nicholas

Blurb:
"It's either true love...or the biggest mistake they've ever made. "

"Counting on Love, Book 4"
Hot firefighter Cody Madsen has stayed away from Olivia Dixon for almost two years-technically. Even though he talks to her every day and sees her every weekend. But there's no kissing, touching, or telling her how he really feels. Because they're "just friends." Anything more than that would mean crossing the line that Olivia's older brother has firmly drawn between them.

Olivia wants what her three sisters have-true love. She could almost believe she's found it with Cody, if it weren't for the fact that he's her older brother's best friend and her brother won't have it. And he's never steered her wrong before. Her head is telling her to trust her brother, but her heart won't let go of Cody.

Her solution? A dating site where she and Cody can each find their "Perfect Pick" once and for all.

But when the site yields some unexpected results, their real feelings come front and center. And they have to decide if it's worth the risk to cross the line from friendship to love after all.

Warning: Contains a starry-eyed romantic, a wannabe knight in shining armor, and chocolate chip cookies. A "lot" of chocolate chip cookies.

My review:
Warning don’t read this book in public.  I laughed so hard I had strangers asking if I was okay.  This is an adorable book.  Olivia is the “good girl” with crappy taste in men.  She has a heart as big as Montana and wants to believe the best from everyone.  This is why big brother Conner feels like he has to protect her from men.  Especially men like his best friend Cody.  So despite the chemistry they feel for each other Cody and Olivia have been just friends for the past two years.  But now Olivia wants more.  She wants a man she can love and have sex with and doesn’t want to come between Cody & Conners friendship.  But can Cody let another guy do what he has been aching to do?  Does he love her enough to let her go?

Love Game (The Matchmaker #3) by Elise Sax

Blurb:

Perfect for fans of Janet Evanovich, Jennifer Crusie, and Katie MacAlister, Elise Sax’s wickedly funny Matchmaker series proves that the road to love comes with a few dead ends.

Five months have passed since Gladie Burger came to Cannes, California, to join her eccentric Grandma Zelda in the family matchmaking business, and Gladie is quickly mastering the rules of attraction. Her latest fix-up is still going strong and Gladie’s bank account is back in the black—until a rival matchmaker arrives in town and has both Gladie and Zelda seeing red.

Not only is self-proclaimed psychic Luanda Laughing-Eagle stealing Grandma Zelda’s clients, but Zelda is convinced that Luanda’s ESP is total BS. She tasks Gladie with exposing Luanda as a fraud, but Gladie’s attention is diverted when murder comes a-calling. Spencer Bolton, the gorgeous chief of police and Gladie’s on-again, off-again flame, wants her to stay out of the investigation—and away from the deliciously chiseled detective who also aims to win Gladie’s heart. But the one thing Gladie’s learned is that in business, love and murder . . . it’s always personal.

My review:
Laugh out loud funny!  This is the third hilarious installment in Elise Sax Matchmaker series and just as belly aching funny as the first two.
Grandma Zelda may be good at finding love matches but Gladie is better at finding trouble and dead bodies.  She is really good at that.  Gladie is finally settling in and finding a home and friends in Cannes.  Sure she is an apprentice matchmaker with her own problems with men but she has a couple of good matches under her belt.  She may actually be getting the hang of this until the competition moves in. Now comes trouble which is what Gladie knows best.

Circle of Death (Damask Circle #2) by Keri Arthur

Blurb:
In one, vicious night, Kirby Brown's world is torn apart. Her best friend is dead, killed by a madman who is now after her. And she has no idea why.
Doyle Fitzgerald has been sent to Melbourne, Australia to hunt down a killer. What he doesn't expect to find is a circle of witches capable of controlling the elements and a sorceress determined to take that power for herself. And he certainly isn't expecting to play bodyguard to a woman who is more than she seems. When the police prove incapable of protecting Kirby from the monsters that chase her, she has no choice but to place her safety in Doyle's hand. And while she finds herself inexplicably drawn to him, she fears to trust him because of the magic that lies in his soul. It quickly becomes evident that the reason behind the killings lies in Kirby's past. But it is a past she has no wish to remember.
Because Doyle isn't the only one with magic in his soul.
Only her magic is capable of destroying the world.

My review:

Circle of Death is the second in a loosely connected series.  In Circle of Death we head to Australia.  Magic users are being killed and former thief and shape-shifter Doyle has been sent with Witch Camille and Vampire Russell to stop the killer.  Kirby has just lost her best friend and roomie to a horrific killer when she is rescued by Doyle.  But she has no idea who to trust despite the connection she feels to him.  This story is fast paced, well written, and stands well on its own.

Blind Wolf: The Complete 4-Book Boxed Set(Werewolf BBW Shifter Romance #1-4) by Aubrey Rose

Blurb:
The complete collection of werewolf shifter romance stories in the bestselling Blind Wolf series now includes all four books:

Blind Wolf
Perfect Mate
Human Shifter
Alpha's Child

Julia has never been on a date in her life. She's a curvy girl with no money, no education, and no way out of the town she works in as a library assistant... until Damien shows up. He's just like the prince charming Julia always imagined would sweep her off of her feet. There are just a few things standing in the way of true happiness: he's blind, he's dating someone, and he's WAY out of her league.

Oh, and he's a werewolf.

Damien lost his eyes two years ago in a wolf battle. Ever since then, the straggler pack of disabled wolves he leads has been searching for a place to call home. One house seems like the perfect choice, but Damien realizes too late that the person who lives there is the girl he met at the library. The human girl. Damien is torn between loyalty to his pack and raw lusting desire for the girl who haunts his dreams day and night.

She's a human. How could she be his true mate?
_____________

This werewolf shifter BBW romance collection is over 100,000 words long, has some naughty language, and a lot of naughty sex

My review:

Damien is a blind alpha leading a ragtag bunch of misfit werewolves looking for a place to call home.  When they hit the small town where Julia lives they think they might just be home.  When Damien meets Julia he feels “the calling” the chemical and emotional feelings that mean he has met his mate but werewolves can’t don’t mate with humans.  Turns out there is more to Julia than even she knows.  With Damien, her grandmother, and the pack Julia is tasked with becoming all she can be she just has to stay alive long enough to do it.
I am glad I was able to get all four of these in one collection because I think if I had read them separately I would have gotten frustrated and given up.  Reading them all in a row gave a sense of continuity that didn’t leave me as frustrated.  This collection is a sexy paranormal romance with a bit of epic fantasy thrown in for good measure.  The author challenged me, made me laugh, cry and reach for a fan. All in all a good read.

I received a copy from NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.
