Kite on the Rocks (Mobile Intelligence Team #5) by Louise Dawn

Blurb:
Dylan" Atlas" Jenkins wants more than a friendship with the alluring and quick-witted Elana Celik. They're the opposite in many ways, yet the elite MIT2 sniper can't resist her sensual energy. But, along with grim secrets, Elana keeps her distance.

Elana Celik plays a dangerous game, and sharing her real agenda with Atlas could them both killed. He'll ruin everything she's worked so hard to achieve. Relationships and men are a dangerous distraction in her dark world.

When a vicious kingpin targets Elana, Atlas Jenkins could be her only hope. But, even his deadly skill set may not save her from an army of mercenaries.

From Crete to Southern Italy, they'll face dangerous foes on a collision course with fate. Can Atlas rescue Elana not only from her enemies but from herself?

My review:
Kite on the Rocks is a thrilling ride of love, action and excitement. I love that the author give logical explanations for dangerous activity. Elana is smart and gorgeous. Atlas is an overprotective hunk. These two are fire and ice and a whole lot of fun. I didn’t know this was part of a series when I picked it up. That being said this story works standalone.
