The Human and Her Vampires (The Covenant of New Orleans #2) by Julie Morgan

Blurb:
Can dreams become reality…

Tawne O’Brien loves adventure and dreams of living in a world where paranormal creatures exist. Orphaned at a young age, and with a string of failed relationships only adding to her misery, her books are the only salvation from a mundane existence in a universe where she feels completely alone. When her best friend asks her to come visit, her dreams of a new life suddenly become a possibility.

Tawne is introduced to four sexy-as-sin vampires and given the opportunity of a lifetime with no strings attached…or so they say. When she discovers she may only be a guinea pig to the vampires, disappointment regains the upper hand, reminding her of her place in this world.

Can Tawne find the strength inside herself to fight for what she deserves? If she doesn’t, she’ll lose everything...including any memory of her life with her vampires.

My review:
Tawne has been missing her best friend, Olivia (who we met in The Concubine and Her Vampires) When she gets a call from Olivia she is brought into a world she thought only existed in her paranormal romances. This is a story of a normal woman introduced to abnormal situations and how she deals with them. Four smoking hot guys who want only her (and a bit of her blood now and then) a job in the field she most wants to work in. Adventure and love, everything she has ever wanted so why is she having such a hard time giving in? I liked that she wasn’t a pushover. This was a fun and sexy read. Stick it out it is worth it.
Though this is the second in the series it can be read standalone.
