Dragon in the Rough (Elders Enterprises Book 1) by Jo Vanz

Blurb:
Abandoned as a baby, Katie is desperate to find someplace she will fit in. Even in a world full of vampires she is considered to be weird. She is a die hard detective working for the vampire council. When she is tasked to hunt down a man she considers to be unworthy of her skills, she quickly learns this will be no easy case. She will find out more then she was expecting and will be tempted in ways she never thought possible. Paul Ivers was tired of waiting for the elders to give him answers, so he decides to take matters into his own hands. He thought the risk was worth knowing the truth until the elders hire someone to track him down. Now he is running from his past and a woman who could be his future. The only question is, can he fix his mistakes? So that he can have a future with her? Or will he lose everything from his past and future this time?

My review:
The first in what looks to be a fantastic new series. Dragons. Romance. Intrigue. Dragon in the Rough is a well written fast paced urban fantasy/romance by a wonderful new author and I can hardly wait for the next installment.
