Monster's Enemy (Blackthorn Academy for Supernaturals) by Cara North

Blurb:

He’s in love with the one witch who could destroy them all.

Attending Blackthorn Academy has always been a dream to the Earth-borne witch with basic powers. When the invitation arrives, she can’t wait to get to the place where so many of her ancestors thrived. Only, she arrived a week early, her magic is on the fritz, and her father tampered with her transcripts so she has to find a tutor to survive the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, and fast.

Brazrathan Patrick has shifted his focus to becoming a scholar. He stopped goofing around with his best buds and fellow monsters. Even stopped playing in the monster games as part of the team. Nothing would derail him from becoming the future valedictorian of his class and residential professor at this very school some day.

When the Headmistress throws curiosity to the wind, fate intervenes and brings two unlikely partners together. There are very few things that can kill a monster of Brazrothan’s genealogical make-up, but the woman he loves might just be number one.

Monster’s Enemy is book four in the Blackthorn Academy for Supernaturals shared world, featuring a curvy, kickass witch, a broody, half-gargoyle, half-demon, self-proclaimed loner, and more.

My review:

A hilarious meet cute, insta-lust (on his part, she isn’t far behind) and problematic roommates makes Monster's Enemy a must read. This book had me snickering and swooning and loving all the characters. Though this is part of a series it can be read standalone.
