Blurb:
Dom Jim Kernaghan isn’t the
safe and caring Dom he used to be. He’s become abusive to his Sub Bailey
Kaplan. Bailey doesn’t understand what’s changed. She’s often left feeling
used. She’s been afraid to seek help until one night he doesn’t stop after she
utters the Safe Word, and she’s hospitalized.
Lottie Endicott owns Dominante Gentlemen’s Club, a safe place for couples and
singles to play. She noticed that Bailey is showing signs of abuse and fear.
She’s not the same bubbly girl she was six months ago. Lottie has tried to
reach out to Bailey, but the girl insists everything is fine. When she finds
out that Bailey has been hospitalized, Lottie reaches out to Trace Reinhardt
for help.
Trace Reinhardt works at Dominante Gentlemen’s Club as an instructor for
beginners wanting to learn about BDSM clubs. He’s seen changes in his old Army
buddy Jim Kernaghan. He’s worried about Jim’s treatment of his Sub, Bailey, who
he secretly desires. He’s beyond furious when Lottie comes to him to help
Bailey escape from Jim after she’s hospitalized.
Trace vows to keep Bailey safe and to tame her wild ways caused by Jim’s abuse.
My review:
This book starts out rough but
builds to a satisfying conclusion. There may be triggers for those with issues
with abuse. Bailey is abused by the Dom who claims to love and is supposed to
care for her. When she finally gets away from him she meets a Dom who wants to
show her how a healthy D/s relationship should work; that relationship grows
into something more.
