Holiday Chords: A Contemporary Romance Anthology

Holiday Chords: A Contemporary Romance Anthology by La'Keah Shannelle,  Sonya McKinzie, Terri A. Wilson, Angela Scavone, Chandra Trulove Fry, Jeff Ducker, Jennifer Wedmore, J.C. Layne , K.T. Munson, Cynthia Stanton

Blurb:
Various authors come together to bring you contemporary romance stories that tug on the chords of your heart with some holiday cheer. Cozy up on the couch with a warm blanket and a nice hot drink and delve into these romantic goodies.

My review:
Do you like curling up on the couch and watching the holiday movies on Lifetime and Hallmark channels? If so this anthology is for you. It is filled with sweet (if predictable) tales of love, second chances and redemption at Christmas time.
Devine Destination by La’Keah Shannelle – Who says you can’t go home again? Sometimes you need to leave to see what you had.
The Christmas Connection by Sonya McKinzie – This one will make you cry. Young lovers torn apart by tragedy get a second chance.
Merry Frenemies by Terri A. Wilson – When he done you wrong but it turns out to bet the best thing that ever happened to you. Fun, silliness and multiple chances.
Home for Christmas by Angela Scavone – Girl leaves home and what she thinks is the love of her life to follow her dreams. She makes it big and is now coming home for the first time and can’t avoid the ex. Things always look different from afar and sometimes you need to come home again to realize that. This is a sweet and fun story.
Holiday Blues by Chandra Trulove Fry – This one starts out sad but will lift your heart. Sometimes good things come out of bad.
Bring Daddy Home by Jeff Ducker – Being away from home on the Holidays is hard. But I think it is just a bit harder for military families with loved ones in harms way. This one will have you breaking out the tissues.
Working With Scrooge by Jennifer Wedmore – Business man trying to start in a new town thinks to use school kids to schmooze his way into the heart of the community. He didn’t count on their teacher to teach him the meaning of Christmas. Sweet fun.
Christmas Diner by J.C. Layne – I loved this story! Rock and roll star alone in his room on Christmas eve depressed because success isn’t everything and missing the one that got away. With the help of a couple of eclectic guardian angels maybe he will get his Christmas wish.
Alaskan Christmas by K.T. Munson – This is another going home tale that will leave you with a smile.
Christmas Spirit by Cynthia Staton – This was a clever attempt at a prequel to A Christmas Carol but left me confused. They were married but then they were engaged but then they were married or not. I think the story could have used a good editor but I liked the concept.
