Wild Wolf (Shifters Unbound #6) by Jennifer Ashley

Blurb:
In the latest Shifters Unbound novel, a man has resigned himself to a life half lived. But a beautiful, courageous woman has him longing for something more…

Graham McNeil knows that his pack is unruly, but he’s not sure he can take the next step toward pack stability. After losing his first mate long ago, Graham has worked hard to keep his heart in check. Besides, even if he was inclined to choose a new mate, his girlfriend, Misty, is human—a fact that won’t sit well with Graham’s old-fashioned pack.

But Misty is going through a crisis of her own, one that brings danger and death to the pack. With the wolves doubly convinced that there needs to be a shake-up, Graham must now defend his leadership and save the woman he has grown to love—before Shiftertown is pulled into an all-out war.

My review:
Graham McNeil is tough on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside at least when it comes to Misty.  Misty is soft and sweet on the outside but strong as steel on the inside.  This is a match made in heaven.  Now if they can only get over the concerns of his pack regarding her humanity and oh yeah survive an attack by the fae who want to own Graham and through him his pack and they aren’t afraid to use Misty to make that happen.  Graham is a true alpha.  He is tough but fair and understands that it is his job to protect and care for his charges even if it means knocking heads.  Misty is right for him and those that don’t agree can go suck it. This is another terrific addition to the Shifters Unbound series.  It can be read stand-alone but would be better if you have read the others.
