Another Chance (Black Hills Wolves #41) by Taryn Kincaid

Blurb:
Chance Northridge left Los Lobos more than ten years ago, deserting his family and his young, unclaimed mate. Now he’s back, upsetting their world.
But those he left behind don’t understand that the pack’s former insane Alpha threatened everything Chance cared about in the world. Still, he’s got some big-time groveling ahead of him.

Julie Pembroke has struggled hard to forget her disloyal mate’s desertion and to gain acceptance in the pack as a woman on her own, and making a new life for herself.

When disaster strikes his family and endangers Julie’s life, can Chance prove himself worthy of a place in the pack and in his mate’s heart?

My review:
Chance and Julie knew they were intended to be mates when (the now ex psycho alpha) Magnum forced Chance to leave in order to protect Julie. Being without her hasn’t been good for him but it has forced Julie to become a strong independent woman and okay so maybe she is a little pissed off at the world because her mate ran off without telling her why but it has been 10 years she should be over it. Watching their reunion is a bit voyeuristic but so much fun. Another Chance is everything a second chance romance should be. I loved that the town was upset with Chance on Julie’s behalf and I adored watching them grow, forgive and love.
As with the other books in this loosely connected series this book can be read standalone but it is going to make you want to go back and check out the others.
