My review:

Hot guys and hero dogs it doesn’t get much better than this. Force of Attraction is a fast paced romantic suspense/second chance romance. Scott screwed up and let go of the only woman he ever loved. It’s been two years and Cole hasn’t moved on either and now they have to work together pretending to be new lovers. Scott is determined to make it reality for them. He wants a second chance whether he deserves it or not. A fun read.

My review:

Always is a second chance romance of a sort. Amelia Foster is frustrated by her husbands’ lack of attention and has a one night stand with a co-worker. When he husband inadvertently discovers her infidelity they are forced to reexamine their commitment to each other. In between erotic interludes Jae Johnson helps us understand what these characters are feeling as they work to their always. A story well worth reading.

My review:

No Place Like Home is a sweet, light-hearted story of new beginnings. Charlie has grown from the overweight wallflower she was in high school. She has dropped the weight and made a life for herself. When her best friend convinces her to come back home to help with a charity fund raiser despite the fact that the kids that bullied her in high school will be there all grown up, including Cole, the guy she had a crush on she is scared out of her mind. But when nobody recognizes her she is tickled pink. When Cole asks her out she is over the moon. But more than Charlie has changed since high school.

I like that the author doesn’t discount Charlie’s feelings nor does she make it like Cole knew her way back when. This is a fun read and I look forward to more in this series.

Hidden Impact is the first in an exciting new romantic suspense series by the wonderful Piper J. Drake.  The Centurion Corporation team is made up of former military and others that have specialized skills that take on difficult cases and in between those jobs they take on bodyguard jobs. It is on one of those jobs that Gabriel Diaz meets caterer Maylin Cheng. Maylin approaches him to help her find her sister. He turns her down until she is attacked outside the venue. Now she has wormed herself into the hearts of his team and into his bed. The attacks keep on coming as they work to find her sister. He and his team will run into roadblocks and old enemies. The action is intense and so is the attraction between Maylin and Gabe. Hidden Impact is a fast paced read that will keep you guessing and enjoying each page. I look forward to future installments in this series.

My review:

Elijah has been living in rage induced pain for the past 7 years as he extracts his revenge against the men who stole his wife from him. They destroyed his life and now he will destroy theirs except someone has put a bullet through the head of the man he wanted to kill. So he kidnaps the guys innocent daughter to use as a bargaining chip to take down the rest of the organization. Then life gets interesting. Violet is innocent and doesn’t react as she should. She turns Elijah inside out and upside down. She makes him feel things he hasn’t felt in 7 years. Things he’d trained himself not to feel. Now he has to choose between his revenge and a future.

Elijah is an anti-hero whose pain is palpable. Violet is the willingly obtuse daughter of a gangster. She is smart but isolated and stronger than she lets on. While the story is predictable the characters are not. This is an intense, fast paced, dark romance. A good read.
