Surfacing: Federal Paranormal Unit by Jodi Kendrick

Blurb:

Can two mythological water shifters find their way back to each other, despite a past of betrayals?

Raya Burns gave up her peaceful, protected life with her true love in order to find her missing brother. She’s spent the last decade learning just how much she’s capable of and how far she’s willing to go. Alone.

After a decade on his own, Ian McLachlan is more than ready to leave the peace and solitude of his lake home. His old friend, FPU Agent Carson Perenga, has called in a favor-A prisoner connected to one of his cases has escaped and may be headed straight into Ian’s territory.

When Raya and Ian’s new lives come crashing back together, they have no choice but to confront the past.

If the present has them facing each other down from opposite sides of the law, what can the future possibly hold for them?

My review:

Paranormal romantic suspense. Second chance romance. This delightful tale stars two phenomenal paranormal characters that were once lovers but broke up due to a disagreement. In the meantime they’ve grown in different ways and now find themselves on opposite sides. Follow their path through twists and turns with surprises at every bend.
