Adventures of Shirley Holmes and Janie Watson: Case of the Missing Children by K.R. Hall

Blurb:

***WARNING***
This story contains potentially triggering material, including the death and kidnapping of children. Read at your own discretion. It is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

Shirley Holmes and Janie Watson have been best friends since high school, and now they own a detective agency together.

Their detective agency has a reputation for finding lost pets and finding people who skip out on the local bail bondsman. The girls wish for something more exciting, something they can skin their teeth into.

Eight-year-old twins Lennox, and Layla Goldwyn are missing. Landon and Ruby Goldwyn turn to Shirley and Janie when they think the police are not looking hard enough.

Be careful what you wish for.

My review:

This was a great story if I could have gotten around the choppy telling of it. The author switched points of view that left the story feeling disjointed. Still the characters were relatable and the story was intense.
