Agent Colton: Federal Paranormal Unit (Otherworld Agents #1) by Godiva Glenn

Blurb:
MAGIC ISN’T ALWAYS PRETTY…
Alexander Colton isn’t who everyone thinks he is—a drunk, abrasive headhunter for some of the nastiest individuals in the city. The truth is, he’s a unicorn. Oh, and he’s an undercover agent for the Federal Paranormal Unit, hot on the trails of a vicious serial killer.

SHE CAN'T ESCAPE FATE…
Sybrina Reynolds knows there’s more to life than her nine-to-five, and not just figuratively. She has a secret connection to the universe at large. She’s never told another soul her truth, and she’s got no plans to. When she comes home to a dangerous intruder, it can’t be a coincidence.

TIME IS RUNNING OUT…
Colton knows Sybrina is his mate, but he pushes her away to keep her safe. Then he thwarts an attempt to kidnap her, and they’re thrust into a hiding together. Someone is after Sybrina. Colton knows who, but only Sybrina knows why—and she’s not telling. In order to save her life and end a vicious pattern of murders, they’ll have to work together and stop keeping secrets.

My review:
This is a well written, well thought out tale of a unicorn shifter and a virginal mate. The author could have gone any number of ways with this story but what she gave us was a heck of a story. Drama, angst, danger and love.  Agent Colton isn’t your light and fluffy unicorn shifter and Sybrina may be a virgin but the chemistry between the two builds fast.  I really enjoyed this story.
