Shadow Keeper (Shadow Riders #3) by Christine Feehan

Blurb:
One family brings its own brand of justice to the streets of Chicago's shadowy underworld as #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan returns to a series hot enough to burn...

The paparazzi can't get enough of infamous bad boy Giovanni Ferraro. But unknown to them--and the women he beds--he's just playing a role. Keeping the spotlight on himself keeps it off the family business. And if this lethal shadow rider can't hunt in the dark, he'll find his pleasure elsewhere...

Sasha Provis grew up on a Wyoming ranch and thought she knew how to protect herself from predators. But in the nightclub where she works, she's fair game--until one of the owners steps in to protect her. Giovanni is gorgeous. He's dangerous. And his every touch takes her breath away.

The devil at her heels may have finally met its match...

My review:
Shadow Keeper is Giovanni’s story. There isn’t a whole lot of shadow riding in this story as Giovanni is recovering from a couple of gun shots to the leg. He is put on playboy duty distracting the world and providing alibis for those that are riding the shadows and playing equalizer. He hates not being able to ride and being chased by unabashed gold diggers.  He meets hard working Sasha Provis while she is working the VIP section at his club. She is woefully unprepared for the entitled assholes (including Giovanni) she deals with there. Giovanni is smitten from the start but has a long way to grovel to get her to give him the time of day. But when she is in danger there is no one better to keep her safe than a broken bad boy.
I liked Sasha. She is smart, spunky and honest to a fault. If anyone can keep Giovanni in line it will be Sasha. I really like this quirky series and anxiously await the next installment.
