The Prince's Game (Mershano Empire #1) by Lexi C. Foss

Blurb:
There’s only one way to get a “happily-ever-after,”
And that’s by winning the game.

My twin sister thinks she’s so damn funny with her pranks,
But I’m not laughing.
Entering me into a dating reality show,
The Prince’s Game,
Isn’t all that hysterical.

But this particular joke has quite the twist.
The billionaire bachelor, Evan Mershano, has no interest in marriage.
With his family breathing down his neck, he’s desperate for a way out,
And I happen to be the perfect damsel to save this prince.

It’s a simple arrangement: play to win, and he’ll make it worth my while.
But what started out as a silly farce,
Just might be the fairytale we never expected.

My review:
The Prince's Game is a new spin on an old trope and the author nails it! Evan Mershano is wealthy but has seen his parents farce of a marriage and so has no interest in the institution. Unfortunately there is that pesky clause that says his parent can take the family business away and give it to someone else if he isn’t married by a certain age. That date is creeping closer so he agrees to be on a reality dating show.
Sarah Summers has a life plan. She has been working toward owning her own marketing company someday. To do that she will need references and experience. Taking time off for a dating show is not in her plans. When her twin sister sets her up she has to go. She never expected Evan Mershano.
While the plot is predictable the author makes it so much fun you enjoy the trip anyway.
