My review:
I feel like I have been waiting forever for this book. It
was well worth the wait.
Nevada Baylor
is a young woman with strong magic. She is pretty much self-taught and probably
wouldn’t be as far along as she is if it hadn’t been for a push from the
incredibly gifted and totally sexy Connor "Mad" Rogan. At the end of
the first book Nevada pushed aside Connors advances because despite being
attracted to him she feels he lacks empathy and would only be using her. Now
two months after the ending of the first book she and Connor are once again
thrown together to solve a convoluted case that will test their gifts and force
them to confront their feelings for each other. Nevada is just what Connor
needs to keep him grounded and Connor can help keep Nevada’s family safe.
This book takes
you on a fantastic ride and keeps you flipping pages. I am really glad I won’t
have to wait quite so long for the next installment.
