Missing Mate (O'Neil Pack Series) by Roxanne Witherell

Blurb:

Missing Mate

Jessica Salone had a one night stand that resulted in twins. Years later, a hereditary issue arises. The only way to help her son is to get in touch with his father, who doesn’t even know the twins exist. Facing her regrets head on, she takes her twins to the resort where it all started. Will Alexander reject them? Will Jessica find the answers she needs? Or will she be thrown into a world of the unknown.
Alexander Jamison is trying to find information as to why unknown shifters have been in the area. When he hears that a woman called asking questions, he is suspicious. Is something in his past catching up to him? Could the timing be a coincidence or is there something more sinister going on?

My review:

When a one night stand ends up with Jessica pregnant with twins and the father oblivious it could have been worse. Now, it just got worse as the babies are now three years old and they turn into wolf puppies! Jessica never knew shifters existed but has now become a believer. She needs help. She has to go back to the resort and find the twins dad, explain why she didn’t tell him sooner and find out what she needs to know about raising shifters.

One of the things I like best about finding new authors is watching them improve with each book. This is Roxanne Witherells’ fourth book and each gets successively better. The writing is a little stiff in this book but the story is so exciting you don’t really mind. I think that this author is well worth growing with. I should mention I drooled a little bit on this cover.

For a different type of tale you need to read Missing Mate
