My review:
I’ll admit I’ve
read all three books in this collection before. What I didn’t expect was to
love re-reading them as much as I did. Though they are part of a series each
book can be read stand alone. It is terrific that these three stories are now in
one book so I can find a re-read them again and again.
A SANTINI IN LOVE - Madison Baker is an amazing woman.
She has been through hell and is working her way through the other side. Former
Marine Madison is dealing with major life changes. She survived a roadside bomb
and is dealing with the repercussions and PTSD. It isn’t bad enough that the
bomb took away the career she worked for all her life but now it is threatening
to take her dignity too. When she witnesses a murder the PTSD label has the cops
doubting her; isn’t it funny that the only one who seems to believe her is her
college nemesis Marine Captain Dante Santini. When Dante runs into Madison he
can’t believe how much his feelings have changed. The strong woman who was a
pain in his ass is still beautiful but her experience has added a layer to her
that he needs to explore. The Santini curse may just have struck again.
This is an incredible story. Not only does it have Melissa Schroeder’s trademark humor and steam but this one made me think about PTSD and how I treat those with the diagnoses.

FALLING FOR A SANTINI - The Santini’s are a big
raucous close knit family most of whom are honored to serve in the US armed
forces. Even the only girl, Elena, is a Marine piolet. Elena has crushed on her
big brothers best friend JT since she was twelve. She isn’t twelve anymore and
JT is quickly finding that out. Once the clothes come off he can never go back.
He needs Elena like his next breath even if it means falling out of favor with
his best bud and the family that saved him from himself.
This is the 7th in the series (and may just be the hottest yet) but it can be read stand-alone. The author gives you enough background on what has happened previously without it seeming like you are re-reading the other books and so you know the relationships. Falling for a Santini is a wonderfully sweet and sexy read. It starts out hot and as Elena & JT fall deeper for each other it gets hotter. And for comic relief you have her brothers.
