My review:
Short, sweet, funny modern
day fairytale. This quick lunchtime read will get you smiling and perk up your
day.
Jackie is having a rough day.
It’s her birthday, raining, Saturday and her boss wants her to work and now she
has run out of gas. She wants a knight in shining armor to help carry the load.
Imagine how surprised she is when one appears to help push the car to the gas
station. The attraction is instant and combustive. Lance Masters has made a
career of building up and selling a chain of European Martial Arts studios on
the east coast. He is in Seattle
to attend a huge local Live Action
Role Play (LARP) event which is where was headed in costume when he meets wet,
down on her luck Jackie. The attraction is there so he invites her to watch him
compete the next day. This could be the start of something beautiful.
Though this is short it is a complete tale and a fun read.
The characters are likeable (well, not Jackie’s boss but that is another story)
and the story will make you feel good.
