My review:
The Skeleton in
the Closet is a tale filled with history, murder, politics, romance and
plain goofiness. Verity Long can
see ghosts especially with the help of ghostly mobster sidekick Frankie. When
Darla is killed in the library late at night and Verity’s sister is arrested. Verity
will brave every ghost in town to find out the truth. With the help of sexy deputy
sheriff, Ellis Wydell Verity will find out secrets that shake the very
foundation of her little town. Long held beliefs will be shaken and enemies
will be made. In other words another day in the life for Verity. I love the
possibilities of this series and Angie Fox has a gift of humor and snark and a
tender respect for southern living. I will say that I love Lucy Verity’s
de-scented skunk. I look forward to watching Verity and Ellis work out their relationship
and see what Beau & his mother have to say. Although this is book 2 in the
series it can be read stand alone.
