Wolf with Benefits (Pride #8) by Shelly Laurenston

Blurb:
There's nothing like a good-ol'-boy wolf. And ace security expert Ricky Lee Reed serves, protects and seduces with all the right moves…

Sure, Toni Jean-Louis Parker has to be the responsible oldest sister to a crazy-brilliant clan of jackal siblings. But now she's cutting loose for some hot, sweaty, no-commitments fun—and the sexy, slow-talking, swift-moving predator assigned to keep her family safe is just the right thing to shapeshift her love life into overdrive. Trouble is, he's starting to get all obsessive wolf on her every time he looks in her direction…

Getting serious about anyone isn't in Ricky Lee Reed's plans. Hell, even now he doesn't reallyhave a plan—outside of catching whoever is threatening this dangerously brilliant family. But the more he sees of Toni, the more he's howling for her. And whatever it takes to convince her that what they have is everything, well, this wily wolf is down for the sizzling chase.

My review:
This may be the best in the series yet. I am still laughing. This book is funny, sexy, sometimes scary and oh so good.
Ricky Lee Reed southern werewolf in NYC working with his brothers security company is about as laid back as a werewolf gets. His philosophy is hang on and the entertainment will come to you. When he meets stressed out she-jackal Toni Jean-Louis Parker he gets more entertainment than he planned on.
I LOVE this book! While it is a part of a series it can be read stand-alone but fair warning you will want to go back and read the rest of them. I adored Ricky and felt for Toni. Together they had me alternately rolling on the floor laughing, rolling my eyes, and blushing. Go forth and buy this book.

Undying Hunger (The Enclave #4) by Jessica Lee

Blurb:
All she can remember is hunger...for him.

A year ago, Alexandria Stevens strode through the doors of Wicked Ways and into the arms of a man—a monster, really—who stole everything from her. Her memory. Her life. Now she's a creature of darkness with only hazy images in her mind of that night and a confusing jumble of emotions. A fierce hate...and an even fiercer desire for Markus Santini.

Markus has walked through this world for more than a hundred years, knowing exactly who and what he was, until Alexandria undid it all. Undid him. When a former vampire colleague threatens one of the Enclave’s own, Markus is needed—but only as the dark, powerful creature he once was. And in order to become that, he must find redemption...in the arms of a woman who despises him with every breath she can no longer take.

My review:
Can Markus ever be forgiven? He changed Alex into a vampire, controlled her and then wiped her memories.  He had his reasons and they weren’t all altruistic. But circumstances have changed and he needs to forgive himself in order to keep her safe even if she can’t/won’t forgive him.  They never counted on love.  Jessica Lee has spun a wonderful tale of love and redemption among the members of the enclave. I loved this story from the fabulous cover to the very end. Though this is book four in the series it can be read standalone but I bet you will be backlist binging after.

My review:
Skip the title. This is a fab standalone story that is part of a collection.  You won’t miss a thing in this second chance romance.  Kane is fated to be the new Alpha a position he never wanted. The only thing he has wanted was sweet Maddie Joplin. His father threatened him with her death if he didn’t give her up.  He went off to the military and Maddie went off to find herself. Now Kane’s dad is dead and he has returned.  Maddie has returned as well realizing you can’t run from yourself.  Can they get past the hurt from the past?  He is still werewolf and she isn’t. Omega's Heart (Black Hills Wolves) by TL Reeve

Blurb:
When the wolf is away…

Five years ago, Max Reaper walked out of Kole Silver’s life forever, leaving behind a broken omega.

Kole doesn’t believe in love anymore. He keeps to himself, leading a solitary life until stumbling upon an injured human, Jasper Hill. An instant attraction explodes between them, becoming an unbreakable bond. There is no choice—Kole must claim the man as his own.

When Max returns to take possession of what is rightfully his, a situation he’d never imagined greets him. Angry with himself and with his mate’s betrayal, he wrestles his wolf who demands he take action—to claim his mate. But will he be able to accept Kole’s new human companion, or will his mistake of leaving five years ago end up biting him in the ass?

My review:
m/m/m
It isn’t often that after reading m/m/m werewolves the first thing I think is awww that was sweet but that was my ultimate reaction to Omega's Heart. Kole is the Omega in question. He has waited for 5 years for his unclaimed mate to return.  Max just up and left with no word. Kole is determined to move on just as he finds the human Jasper injured in the forest. Jasper has mate potential.  But what happens when Max returns?
Omega's Heart is a great addition to the loosely connected Black Hills Wolves series.  I love that the author gave Kole a spine that just because he was omega doesn’t mean he is a pushover. Can the other men in his life do what is best for him? There is hot sex, love and sacrifice that will leave you saying awww.

Finding Glory (Home to Glory #3) by Sara Arden

Blurb:
Once upon a time, he was just a hopeless cause from the wrong side of Glory, Kansas. And he'll be damned if he'll let anyone drag him back down after finally clawing his way out.

Everyone knows that Gina Townsend is a saint, always taking care of everyone around her. And now she's trying to be a mother to her six-year-old niece, Amanda Jane. But the girl's biological father isn't helping matters. The scruffy, gangly boy Gina remembers has returned to Glory a sexy, successful man, but Reed Hollingsworth is the only thing standing between her and losing Amanda Jane to foster care.

Betrayed that neither Townsend sister bothered to tell him he was a father until he had money, Reed's still not about to shirk his responsibilities. So when he demands Gina move in with him as part of Amanda Jane's custody agreement, he tries not to notice pretty much everything about her—especially the way his solemn-faced daughter laughs when they play together.

Raising a child together, Reed and Gina learn that some dreams come and go, but some are a spark that burns eternal…

My review:
Sweet small town romance.  Two flawed individuals overcoming the past in different ways come together for the sake of a child.  He has self-esteem issues that come with being a recovering addict no matter how successful you become you are still a recovering addict. She has lost her mother and her sister. She left the Army, her way out, to raise the child he made with her sister.  To say she has trust issues would be an understatement.  With the help of some wonderful secondary characters can these three learn to trust, love and become a family.
The story is sweet, a bit predictable but worth the read.  Complimentary copy provided by author/publisher for an honest review.

Terror Island: A Spine Chilling Mystery Romantic Thriller by Chris Marie Green

Blurb:
Ready for a spine-chilling horror thriller with mystery, shocks, twists, and romance?

It all started with a good-time cruise at sea…

When diver Katsu Espinoza is invited on a shark-cage expedition by her billionaire mentor, she’s definitely up for some adventure, even if it means spending time with his greedy heirs. Then she sees who the captain is—Will Ashton, the betraying ex-boyfriend who’d once shattered her heart. And as if that isn’t unexpected enough, her mentor decides that she’s going to inherit the millions of dollars that were supposed to go to his family!

…and turned into hell on earth when they got to the island.

Suddenly, Kat is the girl who swept in to steal a frail old man’s inheritance. Then a storm hits, stranding all of them on a deserted island, forcing them to survive in a paradise gone deadly, because it seems that someone here hasn’t forgotten the money; they’re killing victims with gruesome precision—and Will, with his secretive ways, is at the top of Kat’s growing list of murder suspects. And that list is getting horrifically whittled down one…by one…by one…

***This reissued book was formerly known as Baited, by Crystal Green. Unlike Chris Marie Green’s other paranormal thrillers, this is NOT paranormal. It includes lots of adventure, action, and graphic violence, as well as a short excerpt for another Chris Marie Green story at the end.***

My review:
Eerily reminiscent of the old black and white mystery movies I used to watch late at night while babysitting.  This story will keep you guessing who dunnit right up till the very end.  Told with a dry sense of humor and playing with your imagination this book will keep you turning pages.

There's Something About Werewolves (Seven Brides for Seven Shifters #1) by Thalia Eames

Blurb:
Their second chance ignites with a bite.

Lennox Averdeen’s top three worst fears:

1. Anything remotely canine.

2. Finding out she has a secret baby.

3. Running into Garrett Anderson. Former best friend. Heartbreaker.

She pulls a trifecta when she realizes the stray canine and the tween kid hanging around her house are not only one and the same, he’s Garrett’s wolf shifter son.

When Garrett tracks down his runaway son and sees Lennox again, the widowed father’s heart begins to struggle against his self-imposed chains. Plus, just coming into town pits him against the local Alpha, and everything he hates about pack life. The death, the heartache.

Despite her fears, Lennox becomes the boy’s mother in all but DNA. But Garrett? He can hula-hoop with the nine rings of hell. Except the heat of attraction has never died, and there’s only one way to slake their sexual thirst. Make a smoking-hot deal, agree to part as friends…and try to ignore the sound of Fate howling with laughter.

Warning: This book will stop your heart with barks of laughter, breathless drama, dueling heroes, and sizzling sex. Hey, if you can’t beat ’em, howl with ’em.

My review:
I have conflicted feelings about this story.  There were parts I loved and parts I absolutely disliked and very little in between.
Lennox Averdeen is a bit naïve but likeable enough when she isn’t vacillating between her old boyfriend and the guy who has been chasing her since she was 12.
Garrett Anderson was Lennox’s best friend in college until he broke her heart by marrying another. His wife has died and he is convinced he can only love once but now that he has reconnected with Lennox he doesn’t want to want her yet he doesn’t want he to be with anyone else.
Ian is Lennox’s neighbor and has loved her since she was a kid but has always had to play second to Garrett and/or the memory of Garrett.
Nox is Garretts son and Lennox’s Godchild.  She instantly falls for the boy but even he isn’t enough of a reason to put up with Garretts push me pull you routine.
Gran, Cash, Jules, Dillion, Paulo and Sherriff Stan the exterminator are the side characters that make this story worth reading.  They provide comic relief and honestly save the story.
This is the first in the series and I liked it enough to give the second book a try since I assume it will be about one of the secondary characters and I loved them.

Finally Found You (Tempting Signs #4) by Carrie Ann Ryan

Blurb:
12 Authors. 12 Zodiac Signs. 1 Explosive Series. What seductive, contemporary romance will you find today? CANCER.

The moment Presley Mackenzie walks into her kitchen only to find her boyfriend in a sweaty encounter with another woman on her kitchen counter, she vows to give up men forever. Between her testosterone-heavy day job in the gaming world, her broken heart, and her need to grow into her own shoes, dating just isn't important.

Mason Sutton not only just got dumped by the woman he thought he'd spend the rest of his life with, but now he finds himself healing beside the woman his brother cheated on. He's spent his entire life living in his brother's shadow only to find himself wanting the one woman he can't have.

As Presley and Mason soothe each other's hurts, they find themselves falling for each other even as they fight it. But as they learn to forgive and fall in love, their pasts come back to haunt them and the future they thought they could have starts to crumble before it can take hold.

My review:
I LOVE THIS BOOK!  I am a Cancer and was thrilled by the fact that the fab Carrie Ann Ryan was going to take on our story.  Cancers are the sign of the Crab hard and crusty on the outside sweet and mushy on the inside and so are our hero and heroine. Presley walks in on her boyfriend screwing her friend on the kitchen counter.  She kicks them both out.  Meanwhile her former boyfriends brother Mason (different as day and night) is getting publicly dumped across town.  Presley and Mason swear off romantic relationships and become best friends until they become more.  I so identified with Presley as I too was the only female in our IT department for a very long time. This is a fun, sweet absolutely charming tale of friends to lovers and a great addition to this series.

Wicked Charms (Lizzy & Diesel #3) by Janet Evanovich & Phoef Sutton

Wicked Charms (Lizzy & Diesel #3) by Janet Evanovich & Phoef Sutton

Blurb:
Lizzy and Diesel return once again in an all-new adventure in the #1 New York Times bestselling series from Janet Evanovich and her co-author, Phoef Sutton!

Murdered and mummified more than ninety years ago, bootlegger Collier “Peg Leg” Dazzle once found and re-hid a famous pirate’s treasure somewhere along the coast of New England. A vast collection of gold and silver coins and precious gems, the bounty also contains the Stone of Avarice — the very item reluctant treasure seeker, Lizzy Tucker, and her partner, Diesel, have been enlisted to find. While Lizzy would just like to live a quiet, semi-normal life, Diesel is all about the hunt. And this hunt is going to require a genuine treasure map and a ship worthy of sailing the seven seas . . . or at least getting them from Salem Harbor to Maine.

Greed is eternal and insatiable, and Lizzy and Diesel aren’t the only ones searching for the lost pirate’s chest. There are people who have dedicated their entire lives to finding it, and are willing to commit murder or make a deal with the devil, just to hold the fortune in their hands. One of those people may even be Wulf, Diesel’s deceptively charming and enigmatic cousin. Wulf desires the Stone of Avarice. He also desires Lizzy. It’s hard to say how far he’s willing to go to gain either one.

It’s a swashbuckling adventure full of raiders, monkeys, minions, and mayhem. Lizzy and Diesel are going to have to do everything they can to keep their heads above water and hope they are living a charmed life.

My review:
Lizzy, Diesel & the gang are back in another hilarious adventure.  Lizzy and Diesel have been trying to find the 7 SALIGIA Stones each on represents one of the 7 deadly sins this time its avarice.  Like any other Janet Evanovich book Wicked Charms has its share of laugh out loud moments and nail biting escapades. I absolutely adored this book.
Wicked Charms can be read standalone but I heartily recommend reading the first two books Wicked Appetite and Wicked Business first.  The addition of Phoef Sutton to this book is apparent and welcomed.  I am really getting a kick out of this series and look forward to the next installment.

Blurb:
From international bestselling author, K.N. Lee comes the third novella in The Club series.

Aimee has an uncanny knack for dumping trouble on Sohanna’s lap, but the offer is enticing. Sohanna could enter the exclusive establishment known as The Club, where there are only three rules…

2. Keep your mouth shut.
3. Keep your mouth shut.

Arthur Koenig is avoiding a return to England after a devastating break-up. To help mend his broken heart, he and his sister pass the time building new businesses in Karim, Texas. But one new client is a tougher sell than the rest. Determined to win this hard-dealing client, Arthur takes him to the one place where he cannot refuse their offer…or his beautiful sister: The Club.

From backgrounds of torrid affairs to heartbreak, Sohana and Arthur were bound to collide, especially when he buys the law firm she works for...and offers to make her his personal assistant. Will either of them break down their protective walls when genuine attraction and love presents itself? Life gets steamy in The Club, especially when two peoples secret desires are revealed.

My review:
~~I received this in exchange for my honest opinion~~
Liquid Lust by K.N. Lee is a short steamy romp.  It is the third in a loosely connected multi author series.  I liked Sohana and Arthur. I really liked this story although I felt like the ending was a little rushed.  Still in all a good story and I will be checking out further works by K.N. Lee

The Likelihood of Lucy (Regency Reformers #2) by Jenny Holiday

Blurb:
Danger and desire are explosive in the newest romance from Select Historical!

She would never bow to any man...

London, 1815

Trevor Bailey is on the cusp of opening the greatest hotel in London. His days as a gutter snipe are behind him, as he enjoys a life of wealth, society, and clandestine assignments as a spy in the service of the Crown. Until one tumultuous night churns up the past he'd long left behind...

Turned out by her employer for her radical beliefs, Lucy Greenleaf reaches out to the man who was once her most beloved friend. She never expected that the once-mischievous Trevor would be so handsome and gentleman-like and neither can deny the instant attraction.

But Lucy's reformer ways pose a threat to the hotel's future and his duties as a spy. Now Trevor must choose between his new life and the woman he's always loved...

My review:
If you like spunky bluestockings then you will adore Lucy Greenleaf.  Lucy and Trever came up the hard way yet managed to make something of themselves until Lucy is fired for sharing her “radical” beliefs with the children in her care.  She turns to Trevor for help and that’s where the story gets good.
This is a must read for historical fans.  This story takes place when major changes are taking place in England and the world. The characters are witty and fun. I heartily recommend and though this is the second in the series it can be read standalone.

Bethany has joked for years that if she ever settles down, it'll be with a harem of men, only it isn't a joke anymore.

He might not be trustworthy with a human woman alone, yet, but with two powerful shapeshifters in bed with them, what could go wrong?

My review:
Five smoking hot tales of submission that will involve you head, heart and soul.

UNABASHED by New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Sasha White – We met Ronnie and Ian in Unfettered (Overwatch #.5).  If you haven’t read it you should but you can enjoy this without it.  I love and can identify with Ronnie.  She is a woman in a male dominated field. She has to hold her own in the garage but that isn’t who she is in the bedroom.  When she ran into Ian, her first love, at Overwatch things got hot now they get real.  I loved this story and want more.
LOANED by New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Annabel Joseph – The thing about BDSM is the only rules are Safe, Sane and Consensual.  Not everybody has the same kinks.  Bettina and Mark were a little too hard core for me but I was glad he got her away from her old “Master” and that they were able to find each other.
BOOTS & WINGS by New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Myla Jackson – This is part of a series but can be read just fine stand alone.  I was really glad to read this after Loaned because this is a fun ménage story and lightened my mood considerably.
Pin Me Up Proper by USA Today and New York Times Bestselling author Cathryn Fox – I really got a kick out of this kinky tale.  The actress who always needs to be in charge needs a change of pace from the pretty boys she has been dating.  Who would have thunk the camera man was so hot and so very commanding?
ACCEPTABLE RISK by Candace Blevins – This sizzling hot werewolf ménage has just enough love to back it off the edge for me.  Bethany wants what her friend has a happy ménage. Hers comes with a few extra issues but love conquers all.

Consent is a hot button issue for me and Loaned and Acceptable Risk push at my limits but didn’t cross them.  All in all I really enjoyed these well written stories and recommend you checking them out.

Witness to Passion (Guarding Her Body #1) by Naima Simone

Blurb:
Under his protection and in his bed…

For Fallon Wayland, birthdays are just another reminder of her looming spinsterhood. This year is shaping up to be no different. Unfairly fired from her job, dumped by her boyfriend, and oh yes, witnessing the murder of a high-ranking lieutenant in the local crime family… Yeah, birthdays suck.

Ever since a disastrous, hot-as-hell kiss years ago, soldier-turned-security specialist Shane Roarke has avoided his baby sister’s reckless—and gorgeous—best friend. Yet when her life is threatened after she witnesses a gang hit, he insists on protecting her…even if she objects.

The two are forced to hole up in a safe house. Alone. Passion long denied erupts between them, burning away their inhibitions. But even as layers—and clothes—are peeled away, danger closes in. Shane and Fallon might finally have a chance at love…if they survive long enough to see it.

My review:
Fallon is having a rough 25th  birthday, she is running late for work, her boyfriend just broke up with her on Twitter and then she witnesses a gang shooting.
Now she is being guarded by Shane , her best friends big brother.  The one she has crushed on forever but who has avoided her since she kissed him on her 18th birthday.  Yep birthdays suck.
There is a lot going on in this story.  There is the past they share and the past they don’t share to get behind them so they can have a future. Shane has to pull the 2x4 out of his ass and Fallon has to trust someone other than herself plus they need to survive the attempts on her life or she won’t see another birthday. This story has humor and heartbreak and some truly steamy dirty talk and smoking hot sex. I really got a kick out of it and hope we get to see some of the other guys from GDG Security get hooked up too.

Falling Fast (Falling Fast #1) by Tina Wainscott

Blurb:
Raleigh West works in an auto shop day and night, trying to put his broken past out of mind. It’s been seven years since the fiery crash that landed his teenage sweetheart in the hospital . . . and him in jail. In an instant, he lost everything: his passion for racing, his hope of escaping his father’s shameful legacy, and the only girl he ever loved. Raleigh hasn’t seen her since that awful night. Never got a chance to apologize. And never forgave himself, either.

When brave, beautiful Mia Wentworth returns to the Florida coast for the first time in what seems like forever, it’s not to see Raleigh. Even so, the moment she arrives she can feel his presence like a gust of wind that gives her goose bumps. Opening her heart to him again seems impossible. But staying away? That might be harder still. Lucky for them both, Mia’s never been the kind of woman to take the easy way out.

My review:
Falling Fast is a sweet second chance romance. Mia and Raleigh fell in love when she was visiting her grandmother. She 17 & he was 19.  She was sheltered and innocent he treated her like she was precious and beautiful. Then they crashed as he was racing illegally.  She went to the hospital and he went to jail.  They haven’t spoken or been in contact for seven years thanks to her parents interference.  Now she is back and they can get some closure. But the fire is still there.  Can they make it work this time or will life throw them another curve?
Falling Fast starts out slow but these two will suck you in and keep you turning pages.  The story is sweet without being saccharine.  I so wanted to see these two get together and if it wasn’t one thing it was another so I was thrilled when they finally got together.  Bring on Pax’s story.

Harder than Words (Montgomery Ink #3) by Carrie Ann Ryan

Blurb:
Meghan Montgomery-Warren thought she knew what love was when she’d married young and had two children. After years of being emotionally beaten down, her husband has finally left her and now she’s forced to find her way once again. Somehow she needs to find the person she used to be and figure that the strength she’d thought she’d lost was always there.

Luc Dodd left Denver and his best friend Meghan when he was forced to watch her walk down the aisle with another man. He might have only been her best friend, but he held his true emotions close to the vest. Now he’s back in town and in Meghan’s life. Only he needs to decide if that’s enough for him…and her.

Their journey from friends to lovers is a slow burn of seduction and pain. When Meghan’s past comes back to haunt them both, the two of them will have to stand closer together or be torn apart by their own misgivings forever.

My review:
Everyone knows someone like Meghan Montgomery-Warren.  A bright beautiful girl who married too young and is now divorced with two kids and low self-esteem.  But a year after the divorce she is slowly coming back and getting on her feet.
When Meghan got married before he could find the courage to express his love for his oblivious best friend Luc had to bail.  He left because though he wanted her to be happy what he really wanted was for her to be happy with him.
Luc is back after 10 years and Meghan is single again.  Can he take a chance with the woman she has become as the man he is today?  Will she give him the chance or is she too damaged to try to love again?
This book made me laugh and cry and yell a lot.  This book will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride. I found myself relating more to Meghan than most of the previous characters in this series.  I will be re-reading this one over and over.

My review:
I am a huge fan of Faith Hunter’s Jane Yellowrock series. I’ve never read anything by D.B. Jackson till now.  These two authors seamlessly collaborate in this short (48 pages) story featuring a young Everhart ancestress.  This story takes place in revolutionary war era Boston not a place known for witches or conjurers or so I thought.  A quick, fun read with characters I’d like to get to know better.

Set Her Up Watch Him Fall by Rita Sawyer

Blurb:
Kate Kingston and Brett Montgomery have been fighting their attraction for years. Kate’s older brother Darren has decided it’s finally time for them to admit the way they feel, or lose what he sees as their best chance at happiness. He puts a plan in motion to set Kate up on five blind dates, promising afterwards he’ll stay out of her love life forever. Brett is furious when he finds out.
Brett not only objects to the men Darren chooses, he objects to Darren’s whole plan. There’s no changing Darren’s mind so he sabotages the dates. He’s playing a dangerous game, because he comes way too close to crossing a line with Kate that he swore he never would.
Kate realizes Brett’s fear of losing her brother’s friendship might be stronger than his feelings for her. So with some help from her friends she comes up with a plan to find out.

This is a re-release

My review:
Set Her Up Watch Him Fall is a fun friends to lovers story.  Kate has been in love with Brett forever from afar as he is her big brothers best bud. Brett has loved Kate but she is his best buds baby sister there are rules about that.  Darren as the big brother has decided to do something that will make them acknowledge their feelings for each other.
This book is filled with fun, misunderstandings, close calls, and some of the worst blind dates ever.

Midnight Captive (Killer Instincts #6) by Elle Kennedy

Blurb:
Former CIA agent Bailey Jones has spent months trying to forget her night of passion with mercenary Sean Reilly. An elite and methodical assassin, she has no room in her life for a reckless, rule-breaking Irishman, and she’s vowed to steer clear of the tempting bad boy who lured her into his bed under false pretenses.

When Sean is implicated in the robbery of a Dublin bank, Bailey knows something isn’t right. So what if she can’t trust him? There’s no way Sean would end up on the wrong side of the law. In fact, he’s stuck in the middle of a dark and dirty conspiracy that could put his twin brother’s life at risk with one wrong move. And Bailey’s life too when she agrees to help.

As the stakes are raised and Bailey finds herself torn between two brothers, the fine line between danger and desire is crossed…and it’ll take more than a killer instinct to survive.

My review:
Opposites attract.  Sean Reilly is a sexy, reckless, rule-breaking Irishman and Bailey Jones is a tough as nails planner.  She has no need for the craziness that Sean brings to her life she doesn’t want to want him.  She has had enough trouble in her life brought on by men. Now Sean is in trouble and it’s Bailey to the rescue but can she save him and keep her heart safe?
This is fun romantic suspense. Midnight Captive is a fun addition to the Killer Instincts series and I really enjoyed it but I must admit I am anxiously awaiting for Liam & Sully’s story.  Also what is up with Big D?

Willow: June (Mystic Zodiac #6) by Brandy Walker

Blurb:
A bet between Eros, the God of love & desire, and Chloe (Chlotho), the Fate of birth, leads to a year filled with match-making and passion.

~~~~~
She’s a witch looking for the love of her life…
Willow Davies is pinning all of her hopes on the Summer Solstice Celebration. She calls to the Goddess Aphrodite in the light of the moon to help find the love of her life, the man who is meant to complete her heart and soul, and Aphrodite answers. But Aphrodite warns that love can be surprising and by the Gods she meant it.
He’s the warlock she’s always seen as her nemesis…
Cedric Stone is ready to claim Willow as the love of his life, except she still considers him the enemy. They’ve known each other all of their lives and after a blind date gone horribly wrong, thanks to him, he realizes he’s in love with her. It’s his good fortune when he shows up on her doorstep and sees her wearing an enchanted moonstone, a gem known to be worn by those looking for love. It’s the perfect way into her life.
What happens when he becomes the one she can’t live without?
As the days go by and they spend more and more time together, Willow begins to wonder how much of Cedric’s attention is because he truly is in love with her or because she’s wearing an enchanted moonstone.
NOTE: Mystic Zodiac is a 12 book series. It is NOT a serial. Each book ends in a happily ever after for the main couple. However, the prologue and epilogue of each story follows the Gods that kick off the series, Eros and Chlotho (aka Chloe). At the end of the series the bet between the two will come to a conclusion.
My review:
This loosely connected series just keeps getting better and hotter as does the interplay with Eros and Chlotho.  In this months edition Eros challenges Chlotho to get Willow (a witch) and the boy who has bugged her from kindergarten Cedric (a warlock) together.  If she has to hit up his mother, the Goddess Aphrodite, for a little help well he never said she couldn’t.  Watching the sparks fly between Cedric and Willow is entertaining but when they catch fire - break out the fire extinguisher.  I am loving this series and look forward to the next installment.
