First off I
loved the cover. That is exactly how I
pictured Will. This is a story of
contrasts and similarities. Pain comes
in many forms. Quarterback Will appears
to have it all. His daddy is rich and
Will goes to a great school. He is good
looking and gifted. He is also forced by
circumstance to deny who he is inside.
Noah is scarred but out, proud and also gifted. He is unlike Will in that he has had to work
for everything he has ever had. But in the end these two are more alike than
you would guess. I really got a kick out
of Will’s best friend Jamal.
This is a well-crafted
story that treats with sensitivity and understanding what being gay means in
Will’s world.
