The Worldwalker Duology

Truthseeker and Wayfinder by C.E. Murphy.  I am a fan of C.E. Murphy’s Walker Papers series.  Not so much The Inheritors’ Cycle or Old Races so it was with some trepidation that I started and devoured these two books.  I loved it!  Take a tailor from Boston who can hear every time you lie and stick her in the middle of her own fairy tale.  It either works or it doesn’t.  Ms. Murphy made it work.
