Axel (Devils' Spawn Daddies #5) by Victoria Saccenti

Blurb:

He’s done the math. But math is no match for desire…

The Devils’ Spawn made Axel tough. Love? Love left him hard. Closed off to anything but one-night stands. Until one look at Opal shifts his comfort zone sideways. She’s sweet and sassy, the adorable Middle of his dreams. She’s also too damned young. Axel’s done the math. He’s old enough to be her father, for chrissakes.

Throwing himself into work with The Johnson Agency—the investigative arm of the Devils' Spawn—is the only solution. He almost succeeds in keeping Opal and her longing eyes off his radar. But a string of campus disappearances and a dangerous stalker forces Axel to make the choice to sweep her away to safety.

Alone in Axel’s secluded cabin, Opal reveals the one truth that shatters Axel’s defenses. She needs a Daddy Dominant, and Axel is the only one she’s ever wanted. But Opal’s stalker is tracking her down, and Axel will risk anything to keep her out of harm’s way. Even his own life.

TW: Age-gap, Daddy kink. DD/Lg.

My review:

Axel is convinced that Opal is all wrong for him. He’s too old, she’s the daughter of a friend. And he oh so wants her. Opal has known from first sight that Axel is the man for her. She can’t understand why he’s avoiding her. When these two finally get together it is explosive. Their story is filled with action adventure and love.

Gorilla’s Little Flower (Bratburg Daddies Book 7) by Cooper McKenzie

Blurb:

“I’m your Daddy. And you are my mate, and my Little girl. Kind of cool how that works out, huh?”

For Lily Knight, it was supposed to be just another mission.

Go to Bratburg. Blend in with the Littles. Find enough dirt to get the place closed down, once and for all.

Simple, right?

Except she’s got to outrun an ex-boss that wants to kill her, and now there’s a grumpy gorilla shifter named Sailor claiming he’s her forever Daddy.

Lily just wants to complete her mission so she can move on to the next one.

But the more she plays as Sailor’s Little girl, the more she wants the role for real.

When Lily’s past catches up with her, and Sailor gets injured trying to protect her, Lily has a choice to make.

Does she complete the job she came to do, or does she jump ship and run straight into Daddy’s arms?

My review:

Gorilla’s Little Flower, the latest installment in the Bratburg Daddies is just as sweet as the others in the series. In this one Special Investigations Agent Lily Knight, aka The Chameleon, has been sent in to find a reason to shut down Bratburg. She never expected to have her whole world turned upside down by gorilla shifter Sailor. He is smitten from first sniff and he will Daddy the heck out of her till she gives in. I really enjoyed watching Sailor fight his primal urges and the care he gives to Lily. Another fun addition to the series.

Untamed Flame: Winter's Grip (Aurora Immortalis #2) by Candace Blevins

Blurb:

Emmy isn’t the same dragon who arrived in Alaska desperate and defiant. In Mordnik’s endless winter darkness, she’s found something she never expected: two men who see past the chaos to the brilliant scientist beneath. She’s found a home.

In the silo’s hierarchical, decadent world of masked balls and feeding frenzies, Emmy hears her mother’s advice, given consistently since toddlerhood: Never lower your shields. Not for anyone. Especially not around vampires.

Love demands trust. Trust requires a leap of faith. And Emmy’s never been good at either.

Can she open the door? Or will winter’s grip keep her frozen, locked behind walls that protect her but leave her desperately alone?

Winter’s Grip continues The Untamed Flame Trilogy, a scorching paranormal romance featuring a dragon shifter scientist, a powerful vampire, and a submissive omega werewolf forming an unconventional triangle in Alaska’s darkest season. Perfect for readers who crave MMF romantasy with co-dominant dynamics, masked balls and decadent feeding frenzies, power exchange with mutual respect and emotional depth, found family, thesis breakthroughs, the terrifying beauty of learning to trust, reverse harem vibes, and open-door spicy scenes with bisexual characters. Cliffhanger ending, but a guaranteed HEA in book three, available April 30, 2026

My review:

As Emmy, Spence and Zander grow ever closer things are great but not perfect. Theres the age and power differences and the fact that Zander is chafing for Emmy to trust him enough to lower Her shields. Then there is telling Emmy’s parents. This is a bridge from the first book to the last and I look forward to seeing how they resolve their issues. Enjoyable.

Vex: Devil Daddies Book 4 by Pepper North

Blurb:

The daughter of a wealthy businessman, Angel Daniels enjoys her indulgent lifestyle, even if she teeters on the edge of boredom. That all changes when the Ravagers kidnap her. Will she survive their evil plot?

Vex plays life fast and loose. He doubts the special woman he's dreamed of will ever appear, so why not take chances? The last place he expects to find the one he could love forever is in the clutches of the Devil Daddies' rivals. And that other guy who thinks he's claiming Angel? He's totally wrong for her.

The members of the Devil Daddies MC will risk all to secure two things: special acquisitions and women with a Little side.

My review:

When you know you know. When Vex rescues Angel from the Ravagers he knows she is the little he has been looking for. Angel never imagined a man like Vex but when she compares him to her father and her “fiancĂ©” they come up short. This is an exciting addition to the series.

Wolfseeker (Wolfseeker Trilogy Book 1) by Amy Pennza

Blurb:

I had a plan: finish college, escape my suffocating parents, and never look back. But everything changed the day I went for a jog and lost four hours of my life. Now the tiniest annoyances send me into rages, certain scents drive me wild, and I’m craving my steaks practically raw.

Then Jesse van der Meer shows up like he was sent by the universe to explain everything. He pulls back the curtain on a hidden world and teaches me how to live inside a body that doesn't feel like mine anymore. Somewhere between the secrets he shares and the heat that builds between us, I stop being afraid of what I'm becoming.

I should have paid more attention to why he came looking for me in the first place.

Just when I start to feel comfortable in my new skin, I discover that it’s not just Jesse’s world that has secrets. The man I’ve fallen for has been hiding a few of his own. As something dangerous closes in on us both, I'm left wondering which is more reckless: trusting him with my life, or trusting him with my heart.

Knowing what I know now, I'm not sure I have a choice either way.

My review:

Wolfseeker is a smoking hot tale of a new werewolf and the mentor who blows his mind (and other things). Their story is filled with love and danger and it looks as if life has thrown them a new curve just at the end. I thoroughly enjoyed their tale and look forward to the next installment.

Bad Bunny by Lexi Davis

Blurb:

He’s not the Easter Bunny.

When Nora brings a fluffy white rabbit into her kindergarten classroom, she expects squeals, giggles, and maybe a science lesson about spring.

What she doesn’t expect is for the rabbit to bite her.
Or to shift into a six-foot-five, battle-wounded man with the face of a fallen god.
What she really doesn’t expect…
…is for him to be naked.

He claims he’s a prince.
He claims he’s being hunted.
He claims there’s an enchanted sword powerful enough to save his kingdom — and he needs her help to find it.

She thinks he’s insane.
He knows she’s his.

Bonded.
Fated.
Mates.

Sorren is not from her world.
He’s older. Wilder.
Royal. And on the run.

This Easter, the hunt begins.

Not for eggs.

For a throne.
For survival.
For her.

Because once a prince claims his mate…
He doesn’t let her go.

Bad Bunny is a steamy page-turning, heart-pounding, swoony bunny shifter fantasy featuring a possessive prince, fated mates, forced proximity, enchanted weapons, ancient magic, and a heroine who refuses to bow to destiny.
Perfect for readers who love paranormal romance, fantasy shifters, protective alpha heroes, and high-stakes romantic adventure.

My review:

Bad Bunny is a sweet and spicy paranormal romance.  Nora is an adorable kindergarten teacher who is much stronger than she knows. Soren is the Crown Prince in his realm and a Bunny shifter. These two were destined to meet. I really enjoyed their tale.

Untamed Flame: Cold Authority (Aurora Immortalis Book 1) by Candace Blevins

Untamed Flame: Cold Authority (Aurora Immortalis Book 1) by Candace Blevins

Blurb:

The Dragon King’s oldest daughter is a certified genius. Emmy left for an Ivy League college at fourteen and published groundbreaking research at sixteen, but she wasn’t happy with the tedium of being the smartest person in the room.

To cure her terminal boredom, she’s burned through her trust fund allotments, borrowed a ridiculously expensive supercar, and slept her way through most of the planet’s top colleges — and been kicked out of every single one because she enjoys playing with the boytoys a little too… publicly.

Her parents are done with her costly whims, and they’ve exiled her to frozen Alaska and cut off her trust fund payments. She’s enrolled in a run-of-the-mill college and bound by a contract that threatens truly dire consequences for breaking the rules.

Emmy is prepared to hate every icy second of it, but she’s completely unprepared for the vampire tasked with keeping her in line. Cold, disciplined, and immortally powerful, he’s the one man she can’t seduce, can’t stop wanting, and can never have. Like her, he’s an apex predator who will never submit.

In a sunless, decadent playground where vampires reign and submission is currency, Emmy learns that fire doesn’t just destroy; it also forges. Caught between a lethal ancient poison and two men who refuse to let her go, can she survive the flames and the ice intact?

My review:

Emmy may be a genius but she still wants to experience life and have some fun. Well she’s had her fun and now the folks have shut her down and banished her to Alaska where she’ll have rules and consequences and no trust fund to fall back on.

This story sucked me in and kept me riveted to Emmy’s tale. I can’t wait to see where the next installment will take us.

The Sailor (Alpha Cove #2) by Susan Stoker

Blurb:

In a sizzling return to New York Times bestselling author Susan Stoker’s Alpha Cove, a former Navy chef meets his match in a woman who holds her own in a man’s world…and he wants her to be a part of his.

Like his brothers, Zach Young has recently moved home to Maine after the untimely death of his father. In addition to helping his mom maintain Lobster Cove, the family’s beloved property, the Navy cook has big dreams of opening his own restaurant…but, for now, has reluctantly settled for a lobster shack. Not exactly what he had in mind, though a new lobsterwoman in town has made his daily trips to the docks worthwhile.

Having been literally bullied out of her last port city a little farther down the coast, Marit Phillips isn’t in Rockville long before the familiar grumblings begin…hardened lobstermen thinking a petite woman can’t possibly do the job, no matter how experienced. Fortunately, her new boss judges her based on work ethic…and the handsome cook who visits their boat every day? He seems to see things in Marit that even she doesn’t.

But as much as Zach builds her up, there’s another man in town, his polar opposite, trying to tear her down. And he proves more determined than the couple thought possible…

My review:

I LOVED THIS STORY! I fell for Marit Phillips alongside Zach. Marit is a petite woman in a non-traditional field. She’s smart, tough and independent. Zach is living the dream. He’s bringing his take on the local staple of lobster to the masses and they’re loving it. When he and Marit meet it’s magic. The tingle is there from the start and only gets stronger. A fantastic addition to the series.

One Quick Obsession (The Cage Family Book 4) by Carrie Ann Ryan

Blurb:

“Who Hurt You?”

When Hudson Cage asked those words, I shut him out just as I did the rest of those who cared for me. It’s been a year since I made one of the worst choices of my life but now I am stronger and following the path I’ve carved myself.

As manager of the Cage Resort, I want to bring the company into a new era and show the larger than life family that I worth so much more than what my father and ex said I was.

Only to do that, I have to deal with Hudson. The man I can’t get off my mind.

And my neighbor in this small town of ours.

We fight more than we speak to one another, and his over protectiveness is starting to become far too attractive. He holds secrets within those stormy eyes and the part of me that knows it’s a mistake wants to dive deep and know more.

When one lack of control turns to another, there’s no turning back from what we could have. Yet the darkness on each of our paths are closing in.

I don’t want to love Hudson Cage, but if we don’t give in and learn to trust, we both could risk losing it all before we even have a chance.

My review:

Hudson is a grumpy bearded artist who likes his privacy. Scarlett is a type A driven manager of a resort. All they do is snipe at each other. When they stop fighting and start to listen to each other the conflagration is intense. These two are downright combustible. Who says opposites don’t attract?

Can Verity protect the people she loves and give her sister the wedding of her dreams? Or will she lose everything before Melody can say "I do"?

My review:

Marcus (Nightfall Daddies) by Pepper North & Robin North

Blurb:

Yield to the allure of Nightfall, the city’s shadowy gathering spot for the chosen.
Dare to receive a glowing white or blood moon stamp that reappears mysteriously to grant entry to the hottest club in town. Warning: The owners are ruthless as they hunt for their mates. And they're hungry.

Shivery, scary thoughts rock Carina the moment she locks eyes with Nightfall’s head of security. Danger oozes from his green eyes and scarred bulk. Something about this massively built guy makes him irresistible. Surely he’s not interested in a completely average finance specialist. How can he speak in her mind and read her secret desires?

Marcus survived hundreds of rivals in the coliseum. Violence courses through his veins. Now part of a powerful clan, his mission is to protect Nightfall's purpose and all those who gain entry to the club. No one knows the vampires’ presence here has a secret goal. When the notice comes on opening night, he will do anything to keep his special Little safe
Warning: The Nightfall Daddies are possessive, primal, and do not shy from violence. Step into their club with caution. The faint of heart may find their world disturbing.

My review:

Vampire Daddies! Marcus is a vampire that has been around since the days of the Roman Empire. That’s a long time to be without his mate. Marcus is the chief of security in the hot new nightclub Nightfall. On opening night he finds his mate and little girl in the person of Carina a sweet financial specialist.

This is not your sugary sweet DD/lg tale, there’s a body count and some laugh out loud moments. Looking forward to the next installment.

Falling for a SEAL (SEALs of Coronado Book 14) by Paige Tyler

Blurb:

Her parents wouldn’t approve…

Katrina Weber is second-guessing inviting Navy SEAL Darwin Sutton to be her plus-one to her sister’s destination wedding. A family event of this magnitude was not the place to have a first date. But with Darwin’s busy SEAL schedule and Katrina’s full-time job as a nanny, she’s taking this opportunity to make plans with the handsome man. But now that he accepted, she’s worried her strained relationship with her very snooty parents will end up ruining any chance she has with Darwin. Her mother is a who’s-who snob, and her father only cares about money and how to make more of it, not caring who he hurts in the process. In fact, he’s using the wedding to conduct business––shady business if the dubious men lurking around are any indication.

He’s way out of his depth…

Petty Officer Darwin Sutton isn’t easily intimidated. Tough situations come with the territory for a SEAL. But spending a week with Katrina’s wealthy family makes even him pause. Still, he’d been hoping to go out with the beautiful blonde ever since he saved her from a hail of bullets a while ago. He wasn’t going to let something as silly as some pretentious family members stop him from getting to know Katrina better. Even if he did wonder if he was dating above his pay grade. Unfortunately, her mother seems determined to reunite Katrina with her old blue-blooded boyfriend. To make matters worse, Darwin is called away for an overnight testing mission, leaving Katrina to be pursued by Richie-Rich. But when Darwin starts to suspect some of the wedding guests aren’t there for cake and nuptials, it’s going to take help from his SEALTeam to make sure the destination wedding isn’t a destination to death. Because he’ll be damned if he’ll let Katrina get caught in the crossfire.

My review:

Falling for a SEAL is an exciting addition to the series. In this installment Darwin has agreed to go to a weeklong wedding with Katrina the young woman he’s been wanting to get to know much better. Money, power, intrigue and family dynamics clash and force both Darwin and Katrina to choose what they want and who they want. When wedding guests start dying and business mixes with pleasure Darwin is going to need all his experience as a SEAL to keep them safe. Though this is part of a series it can be read standalone.

As the Fire Dies (Metal Embers) by Vanessa Rose

Blurb:

Abel Sharp has no idea that one letter could change the course of his life forever. Having spent his life fighting for success after almost ruining everything from the start, he is now at the top of his game. His band Louder in Silence has risen to being one of the most popular metalcore groups in the scene, playing sold-out arena shows all over the country. Controversial since his twenties, Abel isn't known as being the easiest to work with. However, when he receives a letter from a woman about her sick mother, something in him says this is more than a cry for attention. Never would he have expected the woman to soak into his very soul and change his life forever.

Alanna Merrick has spent her whole life fighting. A teenage mother forced to work lifeless jobs, Alanna's whole world revolves around making a good life for her daughter. Then, she finally gets to live a sliver of her dreams by performing in a Louder in Silence tribute band. No matter what she had to endure, it's been the highlight of her adult life, and she wouldn't change a thing. However, she was never meant to have nice things, and her clock is quickly running out.

They know it's stupid. They know nothing good can ever come of it, but love will not be denied. Being chased by death only makes them fall faster... harder. A passion that can change the world. A romance that reads like a fairytale. A love that never dies.

Please check the trigger warnings because your mental health matters!

Oh my heart! This book had me ugly crying but it’s a beautifully sad tale of life and death. I couldn’t put it down. This one will stay with me for a long time.

Free Falling (Colburn Brothers #2) by Jill Shalvis

Blurb:

These rivals are stuck with each other…

Retired hockey player Caleb Colburn needs this new construction project to go smoothly to prove he’s earned his place in the family business. There’s only one problem. The architect liaison assigned to the project is Emma Sumner. As in, the woman who made his life a living hell in college. Now, she’s back in town and already breathing down his neck on the job. Worse? She’s only gotten more beautiful.

Emma’s in love with the beautiful historic building they’re renovating. But her feelings toward project manager Caleb definitely lean more toward hate. Not only is the man making her job harder than it needs to be, he’s the one who took everything from her when she was at her most desperate. Not that she’d ever admit it out loud, but she’s never recovered.

Neither is willing to forgive and forget. But forced proximity and surprising common ground have these enemies starting to wonder just how fine the line between love and hate is. A burning mutual attraction adds complications for them both. Will anything be left standing when their secrets are finally revealed?

My review:

Jill Shalvis has done it again. Small town feeling with characters you just have to love. Not perfect but totally relatable. This book will make you laugh and maybe swear a little bit but will leave you with a full heart and a smile.

Accidental Runaway Groom (Clover Lake #2) by Carrie Ann Ryan

Blurb:

I picked up a groom on the side of the road on the way to a wedding.

One problem: I wasn’t the bride.

And he didn’t mean to run away.

Sometimes things happen for a reason and six months later, I’m back in Clover Lake and Sharp McBride is single, not-so-heartbroken, and my new best friend.

Only neither one of us wants to be just friends.

I don’t know where his heart belongs, and I don’t want to be the person to break what’s left. Yet I’m only in town for a short time and I’m not sure I’m made for small time life.

And if we’re not careful, this time I might have to be the one who runs away.

**Accidental Runaway Groom is a next generation, grump rancher, friends to lovers, not-what-you-think romance set in the Montgomery World & Clover Lake series featuring Jamie Montgomery & Sharp McBride. Each book can be read as a complete standalone. An HEA is guaranteed!**

My review:

Sharp McBride is a cowboy through and through. Jamie Montgomery is a city girl visiting the country. Sharp and Jamie are perfect for each other but they come from two different worlds. Their story had me laughing and grimacing and swooning. Another fun read.

Warner Robins LitFest 2026

Warner Robins LitFest 2026

This was my first visit to this event. I was thrilled that it was to be held in my town. I've attended a lot of book signings, conventions and book fairs . The venue was terrific. Lots of room and lots to see and do. This was billed as a "Family Friendly Event". They had a separate section for kids books which was wonderful. The adult side was filled with mostly new authors with one or two books to display. There were a lot of 'Inspirational" authors. Even the PNR author made sure I knew her books were fade to black. There were a lot of terrific vendors. We met representatives from GPB kids and WDEN. There was even a reporter from WMAZ. And although I didn't find a whole lot in my preferred genres I did manage to pick up a couple of books and swag and oh yeah Girl Scout Cookies.
