Careful What You Ask For (Chattanooga Supernaturals #3) by Candace Blevins

Blurb:
When a wolf mates with a human, the child is nearly always a wolf. Briana was raised as a werewolf, but puberty hit and she never changed. She’s persuaded a few wolves to bite her, but it never took. At nineteen, she’s going to give it a final try. This time, she’ll ask someone who was bitten instead of being born to it, to see if it makes a difference.
She grew up welcome in the Pack until she was branded a human. Her developing teenage psyche was wounded by their rejection, and she holds nothing but ill will for the Pack and all it stands for. However, it’s fine for a human to glare at the Alpha and tell him he isn’t the boss of her. Trying it as a wolf is another story. She’s determined to make a go of it as a lone wolf, but Randall — the local Alpha — has other ideas, despite the fact she’s property of his brother’s motorcycle club.
Briana was raised to be a werewolf and she finally feels whole, but the transition is different for everyone. She understands supernatural politics, but she’s going to have to maneuver through the highest levels of them as a brand new wolf still struggling for control.

My review:
I LOVE this cover! When reading a book by Candace Blevins I go into it with an Your Kink Is Not My Kink But Your Kink Is Ok mentality. I love how she allows me an insight into how folks feel and what about the activity does it for them. In Careful What You Ask For the author skirted a few of my hot buttons and introduced me to some I didn’t know I had. Even with that in mind the story was intriguing and the characters believable. I enjoyed watching Briana grow and become one with her wolf. Patrick was an interesting character and he too grew into his new role. I liked that as big and bad as he is he wasn’t adverse to asking for assistance. This book can be read standalone but is better if you have the background of the previous books.

Power Game (GhostWalkers #13) by Christine Feehan

Blurb:
#1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan is “one of the best storytellers around” (RT Book Reviews). Find out why as two lovers surrounded by greed and corruption discover there’s no telling whom you can trust—or who will come out on top...
When members of a United Nations joint security force are taken hostage by radical terrorists in Indonesia, Captain Ezekiel Fortunes is called to lead the rescue team. Part of a classified government experiment, Zeke is a supersoldier with enhanced abilities. He can see better and run faster than the enemy, disappear when necessary and hunt along any terrain. There are those in the world willing to do anything for power like that...
A formidable spy genetically engineered to hide in plain sight, Bellisia rarely meets a man who doesn’t want to control her or kill her. But Zeke is different. His gaze, his touch—they awaken feelings inside her that she never thought possible. He’s the kind of man she could settle down with—if she can keep him alive...

My review:
Power Game is a wonderful addition to the GhostWalkers series by Christine Feehan. Take your scarred alpha male, Captain Ezekiel Fortunes, and a strong smart yet innocent woman Bellisia and mix well and you have Power Game. I loved that the first scene in the book was Bellisia rescuing herself from a world of trouble. Power Game is a well written, fast paced whirl of intrigue and love. I read it in one sitting.

Realm of the Dragon by Cici Cordelia

Blurb:
An ancient legend spanning eras, continents, and worlds. To some, it’s nothing more than a dream. To others, a pretty fairy tale handed down through the generations.

For those in critical need of their own happy ending, a gift.

For sheltered Lily Kiers, it’s all too real. Her escape from danger, straight into the arms of her destiny.

Thrust into a realm made of fantasy and unbridled passion, Lily faces violent resentment and jealousy from extremely powerful enemies. Amidst fierce creatures whose very existence defy all common sense, Lily pieces together a past she could never have imagined.

Claimed by Kord, Prince of Battle Draconian, their love will not be denied, even as malevolent forces plot to rip them apart.

My review:
Realm of the Dragon by Cici Cordelia is a fantasy romance that will leave you with a smile on your face. It is a grown up fairytale that I truly enjoyed. There are dragons and witches and of course virgins and magic.  For a fun sweet escape I heartily recommend.

Calling His Bluff (Club Raven #3) by B.A. Tortuga

Blurb:
Patrick's loss is Remy's gain.

A Club Raven Novel

After his twin dies in battle, it’s Patrick Daniels’ duty to marry his brother’s fiancĂ©e. Too bad he can’t make himself do it, and in his distress, he manifests a psychic talent that’s stronger than the tornadoes in his native East Texas. Then a mysterious man from a place called Club Raven steps in and sweeps Patrick off to the booming East Coast city of Baltimore.

Club Raven veteran Remy Blanchard sees Patrick and knows, even though Patrick is very ill, that this is the challenge he’s been waiting for. He nurses Patrick back to health, and begins to teach Patrick to control his talent. His methods might be unconventional, and Patrick might be new to the kinds of sexual games Remy knows best, but the two of them find something in each other that might be just as magical as the gentleman’s club where they meet.

My review:
m/m
I enjoyed the love story between Remy and Patrick. I will admit to not having read the previous two books and account some of my issues with the story to that. I have questions about Patricks’ wound and why he feels is necessary to repeat the phase “My brother was shot.” like it was programmed into him. It kind of creeped me out. I would recommend reading the first two books in the series before reading this one. I enjoyed it but feel I would have enjoyed it more had I not read it out of order.

This is fantasy, nothing more…
As they explore their every desire, Lou and Daniel find keeping reality at bay is harder than they thought. Will their 1Night Stand deliver the satisfaction Madame Eve prides herself upon, or are they just too close for comfort?

My review:
Scorching hot boss fantasy. Merryn Dexter takes us on a scintillating romp where the PA is crushing hard on her boss and finally asks the mysterious Madame Eve to help her live out her fantasies. When her request accidentally crosses her bosses desk he convinces Madame Eve to let him fulfill the request. Lou and Daniel are super-hot together. This was a truly fun escape.

Blurb:
Who let the dogs…and cats…out?
Verity Long’s new ghost hunting career has gone to the dogs, literally. A spirit is releasing animals from their cages at the Sugarland Animal Rescue Center. It’s an unusual haunting that gets even more bizarre when she uncovers a new clue in a case of a missing child. Verity vows to reunite the lost boy with his family. And when she does, Verity just might answer the age-old question: Do all dogs go to heaven?

My review:
Dog Gone Ghost is a short sweet addition to the Southern Ghost Hunter Mysteries. It is a story of a boy and his dog and how Verity & her ghost partner Frankie get them back together. I love that Verity is coming into her own and enjoyed her interactions with Frankie and Lucy. Careful folks this one may just bring a tear to your eye.

Big Girls Don't Bite (Dances With Werewolves #3) by Nora Snowdon

Blurb:
This third book in the Dancing With Werewolves series is perfect for fans of Dakota Cassidy's Wolf Mates series. Sexy, hilarious, and emotionally satisfying, Big Girls Don’t Bite is a book that’ll make you HOL. (Howl Out Loud)
After a lifetime of rebelling against her controlling mother and over-protective werewolf family in general, Anna is shocked to find herself falling for a man her mother might actually approve of. Well, if only he wasn’t a human. And the fact that he has a weird genetic problem that could kill him if she “accidentally” bites him doesn’t help matters.
Ericson knows with his shady past, he should lay low. After his brother was murdered, he’d vowed not to put anyone else he loved in danger. Despite his best intentions, Anna Colbert somehow gets under his skin. Apparently with a woman like Anna, resistance is futile.
Big Girls Don’t Bite follows First Bite is the Deepest in the Dances With Werewolves series. These steamy tales of werewolves in love will have you howling with laughter even as you wonder about whether there really are werewolves living amongst us…

*contains graphic sex scenes not suitable for readers undre 18 years of age.

My review:
Big Girls Don't Bite (Dances With Werewolves #3) by Nora Snowdon is not as lite and giggly as the previous books but has more substance. Don’t worry there is still plenty of humor and love. Big Girls Don't Bite is Anna’s story. Anna is the baby sister trying to find her own niche. She was snarky and a total hoot in the previous two books. It was nice taking this peek under the snark.  I think this is the best in the series to date. Bring on the werepoodle.

Scorched by Melissa Schroeder

Blurb:
As a firefighter, Cooper Murray has had his share of close calls, both on and off the job. When he’s injured in a four-alarm fire, he’s left at the mercy of Misty, his soon to be ex-wife. They’ve been estranged almost since their whirlwind romance and Vegas wedding. No woman has ever made him so insanely crazy or tugged at his heartstrings the way she does. Still, being in the same room is always dangerous for both of them.
Misty is convinced she’ll pay for her mistake of a marriage for the rest of her life. Coop was the one man who had captured her heart, and then he stomped on it and went back to Dallas. She had just started to live her life again when she got the call about Coop and his injuries. Misty isn’t in the mood to play nursemaid, but since he has refused to sign their divorce papers for eight months, she plans on using his confinement to force him to do just that.
With his injuries forcing close quarters, both Coop and Misty discover they have more in common than just the passion they share. Little by little, the pain of their past fades. But when things get tough, will they be able to hold the fragile new relationship together, or are they doomed to commit the mistakes of their past?
This book is part of Paige Tyler’s Dallas Fire and Rescue Kindle World and will only be available on Amazon.

My review:
Scorched by Melissa Schroeder is a raucous second chance romance. Firefighter Cooper Murray met and married Misty in a blaze of heat and passion. She left him after only six weeks together. Now it is eight months later. Cooper has refused to sign the divorce papers. When Cooper is injured fighting a fire they call Misty to let her know. She rushes to his side and Cooper is determined to use this chance to convince her to give it another go. Passion is hot and cold and rarely easy but it can be worth it. Scorched is a well written tale of a passionate relationship that may just make it.

Refuge (Safe Haven #3) by Sheri Lyn

Blurb:
Chaos lived a life much like his brothers, a torturous life, and as much as he cared for Ash, he knew his future was already decided. He could feel it, like a clock ticking away the minutes of his life, his time was running out. There was no point in letting anyone get attached.
After being called in by the Hagrins to help with the initial take down of the recruiter, FBI agent Ashton Michaels found a home for himself among the band of brothers, and the love of his life. If only he could convince Chaos love and living were worth fighting for. Only cowards gave up.
With the take down of the last facility, evidence of more sites come into play and unexpected dangers flourish. The Hagrin house has grown, as well as the family and their commitment to each other. It’s the simple things in life some take for granted that mean the most to others – a childhood, family, love, acceptance – and Ash and the brothers will do what it takes to make sure Chaos knows he deserves it all.

My review:
m/m
Have you read Safe Haven (Safe Haven, #1) and or Sanctuary (Safe Haven, #2)? No? Go read them first. Then come back and enjoy the heck out of this sweet yet serious tale of mystery, love and family. I promise you will enjoy this one so much more if you’ve read the others first. You need the foundation. That being said this may just be my favorite of the series to date. There is such a feeling of love, family and community in this story that you are rooting for each and everyone in this story.

Taken (Kinky Couture Book 1) by Tilly Greene

Blurb:
There are two things on Mimi’s mind—her lover Rick, and how he’s finally given in and bound her as she wants. Everything is wonderful, until a mysterious trip calls him away. With Rick gone, Mimi tries to back out of walking the runway at the Safe, Sane and Consensually Wild fashion show, where she and her lover were set to model leather goods and put on a wild sex show for the finale. But she’s the muse behind the collection and the designer, her friend, and he won’t hear of her not modeling.
When a misunderstanding threatens to tear them apart, it turns out the fashion show could bring Mimi and Rick closer together.
Note from the Author: Taken, a contemporary erotic romance + BDSM, Leather and Lots of Toys [I really mean lots of leather and toys] at 20.6k words, and this is its third release.

My review:
Taken (Kinky Couture Book 1) by Tilly Greene is a short erotic tale that will steam up your glasses. Mimi has it all together. She works a tough job and is always in control so it was extraordinary to see her angst at not hearing from Rick, the man in her life. Good thing she has her friend Armand to cry on and keep her from totally freaking out. Armand designs leather fetish wear and has convinced Mimi to model it on the runway for his big show. The thought of wearing Armands designs in public helps to push Rick to the back burner. But when Rick gets back in town woo wee things get scalding hot super-fast. Break out the ice water and the fans folks.

Martians Abroad by Carrie Vaughn

Blurb:
A great new stand-alone science fiction novel from the author of the Kitty Norville series.

Polly Newton has one single-minded dream, to be a starship pilot and travel the galaxy. Her mother, the director of the Mars Colony, derails Polly's plans when she sends Polly and her genius twin brother, Charles, to Galileo Academy on Earth—the one planet Polly has no desire to visit. Ever.

Homesick and cut off from her desired future, Polly cannot seem to fit into the constraints of life on Earth, unlike Charles, who deftly maneuvers around people and sees through their behavior to their true motives. Strange, unexplained, dangerous coincidences centered on their high-profile classmates begin piling up. Charles may be right—there's more going on than would appear, and the stakes are high. With the help of Charles, Polly is determined to find the truth, no matter the cost.

My review:
Carrie Vaughn has built a fantastic world where humans have expanded into space and a subtle classism that has developed. Kind of like how Americans feel when they go to Europe and see hundreds of years history made before their own began. Polly & Charles are twins born and raised on Mars are being sent to an exclusive school on Earth by their autocratic mother, the director of the Mars Colony. Polly is devastated. She has dreams of becoming a piolet. She has plans made. Charles will thrive anywhere he is a genius but all Polly wants to do is learn to fly.  They go and have to learn how to deal with new places, new people and a great deal more gravity. There is an us v. then attitude between the Earth bound students and those that come from off planet. There is also a Snape like head mistress who doesn’t like Polly at all. Then there are the accidents… Surprises and adventure abound. Martians Abroad is a clean well written story that is great for teens and adults alike.

FIRST BITE IS THE DEEPEST (Dances With Werewolves #2) by Nora Snowdon

Blurb:
This playful take on modern werewolves is perfect for fans of Dakota Cassidy's Wolf Mates series. Sexy, hilarious, and emotionally satisfying, FIRST BITE IS THE DEEPEST is a book that will have you howling with laughter.
Can a woman bitten by a werewolf choose not to become one herself? Ella is not persuaded by rich, handsome, and (unfortunately) neutered werewolf, Robert Colbert that his bite need change her life. Despite her annoyance with his arrogance, she agrees to let him take her to dinner if he’ll let her interview him for her gossip magazine LoveLifeStyle about his previous job as a designer/host for a reality TV show.
Trying to convince her to accept her werewolf fate before the rapidly approaching full moon, Robert finds himself falling in love with the stubborn bitch-to-be. But with some dark secrets of her own and a scarier suitor on her horizon, Ella may prove to be the one woman able to resist Robert’s wolfish charm.
The sequel to JUST ONE BITE about Robert’s brother, Lucas, this steamy tale of mismatched lovers will have you dreaming of catching your own werewolf lover. Playing fetch? Not so much…

My review:
Totally not what I expected and yet a truly fun story. In the last book Just One Bite we met Robert Colbert former heir to the Colbert pack whose position was nullified when he got drunk, captured and neutered. Robert isn’t totally unhappy about the situation. Now his brother can have all the responsibility and he can continue his player like ways. What he never counted on was meeting Ella. Ella is Roberts total opposite and not easily swayed by his charm, money and good looks. Ride along with their rollercoaster romance and fall in love with these fun and quirky characters. I know I did.

Adoring Ink (Montgomery Ink #6.5) by Carrie Ann Ryan

 Blurb:

The Montgomery Ink series continues with the most unlikely of romances between the one that got away and the man who can show her the world. Holly Rose fell in love with a Montgomery, but left him when he couldn’t love her back. She might have been the one to break the ties and ensure her ex’s happy ending, but now Holly’s afraid she’s missed out on more than a chance at forever. Though she’s always been the dependable good girl, she’s ready to take a leap of faith and embark on the journey of a lifetime. Brody Deacon loves ink, women, fast cars, and living life like there’s no tomorrow. The thing is, he doesn’t know if he has a tomorrow at all. When he sees Holly, he’s not only intrigued, he also hears the warnings of danger in his head. She’s too sweet, too innocent, and way too special for him. But when Holly asks him to help her grab the bull by the horns, he can’t help but go all in. As they explore Holly’s bucket list and their own desires, Brody will have to make sure he doesn’t fall too hard and too fast. Sometimes, people think happily ever afters don’t happen for everyone, and Brody will have to face his demons and tell Holly the truth of what it means to truly live life to the fullest…even when they’re both running out of time.

My review:

The good girl teacher and the bearded tattooed mechanic, Holly and Brody shouldn’t work but they do surprisingly well. Holly is a cardigan wearing elementary school teacher. She is getting antsy as all of her friends are finding their soulmates and settling down. Holly has worked hard to become who she is and likes herself just fine. I love that about her. I laughed at how Holly and Brody first met and enjoyed watching them each step out of their comfort zones. Carrie Ann Ryan takes these two opposites and turns them into a whole in a fairly short time yet you don’t feel short changed. Sweet, sexy fun.

They're too different to ever have a future together.

My review:

Falling for the Player is a sweet second chance, come from different sides of the tracks, nerd/jock romance. I fell for Max right away. Patrick took me a bit longer but the two of them together made my heart go pitty pat. They meet and have a one night stand in college. Max is determined to be a lawyer and Patrick is headed for the NFL. The real story takes place three years later when a chance meeting has them taking chances and falling in love. I loved this sweet and sexy story.

My review:
This book is a delicious addition to this series. The author once again puts our favorite characters through the ringer and they once again manage to make it through, maybe a little bent but they made it. This book is loaded with surprises and several teases about the future directions the series may take. All I can say is please take me along for the ride.

Stripped form him was the love of his life and the pack he was born into. After calling in a favor from an unlikely ally, Malcom is called upon to take down his former Alpha. Vincent is so far gone that he is now sending children out to be slaughtered. Will Malcom be able to bring himself to help a people who have turned their backs on him?

My review:
Malcom is the first book I’ve read by this author. I loved the story and the supporting characters. I was however torn in my feelings for the main character Malcom. Malcom has had/and lost the love of three terrific women. He has dealt with them with benign neglect. Yet he feels betrayed by his former Alpha, Vincent. When it comes time to take out Vincent will he step up to take his place? Will he do right by the women he’s hurt? Read the story and find out. I look forward to discovering more by this author.

But he’s the last male she can have.
The last thing Selena wants to do is work with a potentially hostile pack. Tasked with keeping the Alpha female, Ria safe to avoid a civil war she becomes Ria’s shadow. Embedded in Central Florida Pack, Selena fights her attraction for the pack second while investigating the threats. Their one night stand turns into more—but permanence is the last thing Selena is permitted to have. If she doesn't walk away, she risks both their lives.

My review:
At long last we have the next book in the Central Florida Pack series. If you haven’t read Full Circle (Central Florida Pack Book 1) it will make understanding this book a bit harder at first but then this story takes on a life of its own. I love James. James is smart, alpha and a total hunk. He is honest with himself. He meets a redheaded Council Guard and can’t get her out of his head. Watching Selena grow and watching them grow together makes this a terrific story. There are issues left hanging like what is Selenas other half and other things I want to know and will hopefully find out in the next installment.

When all seems lost, Mariel stumbles upon an unlikely salvation: a box in the cargo car carrying the vampire Vellum.
Vellum strikes a Devil's bargain with Mariel and Clay: submit willingly to his bite and he will dispatch the bandits. But once the deal is made, Mariel and Clay realize there's more to it than allowing the vampire to drink their blood. Vellum has the power to make his bite the most sensual experience of their lives, leading to a love triangle fraught with jealousy, mistrust, and searing desire.
This is a super sexy standalone featuring multiple pairings: m/f/m, m/m/f, m/f, m/m.

My review:
Between the Marshal & the Vampire by Tricia Owens is an erotic tale that takes place in a steampunk like environment. You have the Marshal, the widowed innkeeper who feels stifled by her future in a small town and a vampire bent on revenge. Most of the book is about them getting to know each other carnally as they travel. I found the interactions intriguing and erotic. Fans of Joey Hill’s Vampire Queen series might enjoy this.

Becoming Dragon (Dragon Point #1) by Eve Langlais

Blurb:
Can he embrace the beast within?

I’m a monster. That’s what Brandon thinks when he flees the medical institute that changed him. Living a normal life isn’t in the cards for him because, while he can hide his scaly skin, his wings are hard to miss. So he runs and lives in the shadows where monsters belong. What he didn’t expect to find were others just like him, and they call themselves dragons. Or so Aimi with the violet eyes tells him when she pins him to the ground.

Seriously, though, dragons?

He doesn’t want to believe, but the evidence is mounting. Not helping his resolve is the fact that the woman with the silver hair doesn’t fear the monster and wants to claim him.
However, before he can think of his own happiness, he has to rescue his little sister. Uncle Theo kidnapped her, and Brandon will do anything to get her back, even if he must embrace the monster to become the dragon.

My review:
A fantastic start to a wonderful spin off. I wholeheartedly recommend reading Gator's Challenge (Bitten Point #4) before reading this so you understand better where Brandon is coming from. It isn’t necessary but it would add depth.
Brandon is an alligator shifter who has been experimented upon. He is now other. Aimi recognizes him as hers but she is going to have to convince Brandon he isn’t a monster he is so much more. Can the redneck gator and the uptown dragon make a go of it?
Becoming Dragon is a sweet, funny and sometimes serious story that will make you think, laugh and sigh in all the best ways. I can hardly wait for the next installment.

Nix (Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club #7.5) by Candace Blevins

Blurb:
Predator and prey…
Nix recently transferred to Chattanooga from the Asheville RTMC chapter. The MC's new gun store needs someone to teach rifle classes, and Nix was a Special Forces sniper in the military.
Tippy came to Chattanooga to start her life anew. She's a shooter as well, and she won a silver medal at the Olympics, but she uses a different name now and tries to stay out of the limelight. Most deer can't function in human society, but she's found ways to navigate modern life without her deer freezing or running every time something startles her.
Wolves are fiercely monogamous when they fall in love, while deer have trouble understanding the concept of exclusivity. Then there’s the fact wolves eat deer in the wild.
A wolf and a deer madly in love and living happily ever after has to be impossible. Right?
Nix was previously in the Ridin' Dirty OAMC anthology.

My review:
What happens when a big bad biker wolf shifter falls for a deer shifter? Find out in this sexy fun read. Nix is a bit of an asshole until he meets former Olympian shooter Tippy. She is shy and has worked hard to function in society without her deer going crazy. It surprises her and her deer when they look at wolf shifter Nix and think protector rather than run for the hills predator. Find out how the deer tames the wolf in this sexy fun story.

Ghostly Paws (Mystic Notch #1) by Leighann Dobbs

Blurb:
Middle age can be murder ...
At least that’s how it seems to former crime journalist, Wilhelmina Chance, whose near-fatal accident has given her a strange side effect ... she sees ghosts.
After a messy divorce sends her fleeing back to her hometown of Mystic Notch, nestled in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Willa finds herself haunted by the tenacious ghost of the town librarian who insists Willa solve her murder.
Luckily, she has lots of help, including a quirky cast of small-town characters, the cat she’s inherited from her grandmother, and her best friend, Pepper, who claims her herbal teas can work magic.
But just when Willa thinks she’s discovered who the killer is, she finds out that things are not what they seem in Mystic Notch, and the case takes a strange turn that has Willa adding even some of her long-time friends to her suspect list.
Can Willa find the real killer in time to keep the magical balance in Mystic Notch on the side of good, or will evil prevail?

My review:
Ghostly Paws is a cute cozy mystery. I love that the lead is an older woman who still holds an appeal for the opposite sex. The mystery was suitably confusing if not true to the character. When I think of crime reporters I think of dogged determination to get at the truth. Our lead does that but is convinced she knows the truth when she in fact does not. Still I enjoyed the book and will look into the further adventures in Mystic Notch.

Shadow Wolf (Wolves of Willow Bend #10) by Heather Long

Blurb:
Most Lone Wolves have a story—a pack they left behind, a love they lost, or worse, one they buried. Some leave their packs to roam because they crave freedom, and independence. Some leave because in their hearts, they can’t bear to stay. Some leave because they see no way to go back…
Most wolves will roam at some point in their lives, fledgling adults leave to explore the world while more senior wolves may undertake a journey they always wanted. Many come home again, Mitch Jackson didn’t. He thrilled to living life on the road, first as a roadie for a rock band, traveling from city to city then later as an animal trainer at a circus. He’s had a lot of jobs, and all of them fun. Two years as an Enforcer hasn’t curbed his smile, but a rogue invasion of Russian wolves are enough to put a damper on anyone’s party especially when they set their sights on the packs’ more vulnerable members…
Amelia Sullivan couldn’t stay in Willow Bend, not after her sister embraced the life she’d always wanted. It aggravated her that Shiloh’s defiance earned her a free pass from their parents, parents who’d raised them all to reject the idea of going wolf. Having always put their family first, Amelia needs a breather from wolves, their politics, and their play. Taking the first excuse she can to go to a cooking school on the west coast, she flees. The last thing she expected was an order to return home within three months of her getting away. She wasn’t a wolf, she doesn’t have to obey…of course, not following the rules proves even more costly than she can imagine when she finds herself a prisoner and the change she always thought she wanted forced upon her...
Rescuing Amelia seemed a straightforward job until Mitch realizes what they’ve done, then saving her life proves to be the easier task as she undergoes her first transformation far from any alpha. Can a happy go lucky Enforcer find the strength to keep her sane?

My review:
Words fail me. I cannot express how much I LOVE THIS BOOK!!! Okay the cover isn’t the best one of the series but the pages after left me breathless.  Shadow Wolf is the start of a new arc and the author refers to events and places that take place in prior books that you really should read, that being said you could probably enjoy it without having read them just not as much.
Neither Amelia nor Mitch are perfect but they are perfect for each other. Amelia is a strong young woman who comes off as a bit whiney at first. Mitch comes off as a bit condescending and work focused but as he helps her through her first change and Amelia discovers just how strong she is they discover each other as well. Their journey is one I will reread over and over again.

Note to readers: This is a hot, action-packed, fun adventure of dragon love, babies, sassy women, dirty-talking alpha males and enough heat it will make you take a couple of cold showers. Don't say I didn't warn you.

My review:
Bound in Darkness (Drachen Mates #2) by Milly Taiden is a red hot romp with a tattooed bad boy of a dragon and a petite powerhouse of an empath. How can you not love Lexi Eden? Lexi is a sweet giving woman and occasional pushover with a heart of gold. Clacher is twice her size and is underneath his rough exterior beats a sweetheart. Lexi wraps him around her finger in no time now if they can only stay alive long enough to enjoy each other.

My review:
Sweet Patience by Melissa Schroeder fits so much in a short space and doesn’t make me feel like I am being short changed.
First off I am a Cancer so I can relate to Chance. That being said I would be lost without my Sagittarius husband to take care of the mundane stuff. I found myself lost in this story laughing as I watched them stumble toward love. I adored the Sawyer brothers and their relationship with Patience.
If you want a fun, free, really sweet story just sign up for an occasional newsletter from Melissa Schroeder and enjoy.

Task Force Hawaii: Vol 1 by Melissa Schroeder

Blurb:
Get the exciting first three books of the Task Force Hawaii series. It includes the following books:

SEDUCTIVE REASONING
Book One
He's got a killer to catch and no time for love. Fate has other plans.

Former Army Special Forces Officer Martin “Del” Delano has enough on his hands chasing a serial killer and heading up TASK FORCE HAWAII. He definitely doesn’t need the distraction of Emma Taylor. From the moment they meet, she knocks him off his feet, literally. Unfortunately, she’s the best person to have on the team to make the connections to help them catch their killer.

For Emma, it’s hard to ignore the lure of a man like him. Tats, muscles and his Harley cause her to have more than a few fantasies about Del. He’d never be interested in a geek like her, but she can’t resist toying with him. When she pushes the teasing too far, she ends up in his bed. She convinces herself she can handle it until the moment he steals her heart.

Del can’t help falling for the quirky genius. She’s smart, funny and there’s a sweet vulnerable side to her that only he can see. As Emma gets more involved with the investigation, she becomes the target of the psychopath. When the danger escalates, Del promises to do anything to save the woman who not only captured his heart but also his soul.

HOSTILE DESIRES
Book Two
As a cold case heats up, two former adversaries discover there is a thin line between love and hate.

Seven years ago, Dr. Elle Middleton’s world crashed and burned. She has rebuilt her life and found comfort in her work as the medical examiner for TFH. When a new case leads to a cold case, she is beyond excited for the challenge, until she finds out the one man she wants to avoid is her partner on the case.

Graeme McGregor isn’t any happier with the assignment. The doctor gets under his skin in more ways than one. He’s avoided his attraction by keeping his distance from her, but working with her has made it impossible to resist taking a little taste.

One kiss leads to another…then to a full blown affair. But even as they draw closer to each other, secrets from that long ago murder rise to the surface. The killer’s determination to stay free leads to a dangerous confrontation that puts both of their lives in peril and could leave TFH in shambles.

CONSTANT CRAVING
Book Three
She might trust him with her life but she’s not too sure she can trust him with her heart.

Charity Edwards has never been a woman who liked to compromise–not at work and definitely not in her personal life. So, when TJ Callahan appears on the scene as their FBI liaison, she decides to take a chance on the slow talking Texan.

TJ doesn’t like undercover work, but thanks to an old case, he has been tasked to do just that. He uses his position to infiltrate TFH to investigate Charity, a woman well-known for her hacking skills. His almost instant attraction he has to Charity makes it impossible not to blur the lines and he soon finds himself falling for the impossible woman.

When his assignment is revealed, Charity wants nothing to do with him, but she has no choice. Thanks to TJ’s investigation, Charity’s life is in jeopardy and he will do anything to protect her–even if it means sacrificing himself.

My review:
I adore this series and love that I can find the first three books all in one place. I just re-read these three stories and discovered new things in each one. Escape to Hawaii with an author who knows and loves it. Love, excitement and adventure abound.
SEDUCTIVE REASONING - An exciting, high energy romantic suspense from the fantastic Melissa Schroeder. Get to know the guys and gals of Task Force Hawaii (a mix between 50 and Major Crimes). I love that there are so many strong women in TFH. TFH is headed by former Army Special Forces Officer Martin “Del” Delano. There are those who are just waiting for him to fail. Failing to solve this murder may just be the ammunition they need. Luckily Del has a secret weapon in quirky genius Emma Mitchell who is under contract to assist in cases like this. The chemistry between them is fantastic and if they don’t kill each other they may just be perfect for each other. The supporting cast is fantastic.
HOSTILE DESIRES - This may be Melissa Schroeder ‘s best book yet! Elle and Graeme will burrow into your heart and take up residence. We met Elle & Graeme in Seductive Reasoning (Task Force Hawaii, #1) and they were oil and water. They couldn’t be in the same room without snarling at one another but now they need to work together to close a confusing cold case. Graeme discovers that Elle is not the cold fish she pretends to be and had her reasons for keeping him at arm’s length. Now knowing he is determined to defeat each reason. Elle is surprised with herself when she finds herself rooting for him to succeed. The case heats up and so do they. Hostile Desires is romantic suspense at its finest.
CONSTANT CRAVING - WOW! The best of the series to date in my not so humble opinion. Constant Craving lets the geeks have their day and boy is it fun. Of course nothing is ever easy and the good things are worth fighting for. I just love this story. So much fun and the characters will keep you enthralled. While this can be read standalone you would probably enjoy it more if you’ve read the previous books: Seductive Reasoning (Task Force Hawaii, #1) and Hostile Desires (Task Force Hawaii, #2).
I received a copy of this book and chose to review it

Make My World Spin (Men of Manifold 2) by S.A. Price

Blurb:
Pictures are worth a thousand words, but a photo of Canadys Herrera leaves Judas speechless.
After a failed attempt at a serious seduction in Savannah, Judas has the opportunity to rekindle a possible flame with the one girl that interests not only himself, but his hound side as well. The photos she starred in were a green light, and he's more than focused on making her his. Especially when he finds out she's the tour photographer for the summer tour Will It and Morbid Museum has set up.
Canadys Herrera sees the tour as the best way to make her name in the industry. Being the tour photographer, as well as the preferred photog for Morbid Museum, is a dream come true, and she's determined to prove their faith in her is well placed. She just can't let her interest in Judas get in the way.
When Judas reignites both their needs, it leads to a tour of kinky sex and unbridled passions...passions that culminate in Judas realizing Canadys is his Mate. But nothing is ever easy, and Canadys, for all her perfection, has horrible family members, family that would rather see her dead than happy.
And with threats to his Mate real, Judas is going to have to enlist the help of the one person he's avoided his whole life, his uncle. Because Cerberosi stick together, and when a Mate is in danger, the world will burn.

My review:
Smoking hot paranormal rock and roll romance at its finest. This book is NSFW or any public spaces. You are going to want to be somewhere quiet where you can enter the sexfest that is Canadys and Judas. The chemistry between these two is fun and scorching hot. I recommend reading at least Just What You Need (Men of Manifold 1) so you have an idea of who all these extra people are. I really got a kick out of Canadys. She is a strong, independent young woman who is comfortable in her own skin. Judas is a hot horn dawg who has met his mate and is better for it.
