As you may have heard (see previous blog) I am a bit banged up. A sad side affect of the pain meds they have me on is I seem to be unable to read. So if I promised a review I am sorry but it will be delayed. I promise to get them up asap.

Gratitude and a Giveaway

I have passed the half century mark. I am active and enjoy life. When running quick errands I ride my motor scooter (it's a mini motorcycle). Wednesday while leaving the grocery store I swerved to avoid a pedestrian and clipped a sidewalk sign. I fell from the scoot and it fell on top of me. I hit the kill switch and cussed a bunch (under my breath, mostly). Some bystanders rushed to help. They pulled the scoot off of me. A sweet lady called my husband for me as I hadn't brought my phone. Folks stopped by to see if I needed an ambulance. Alexis, our exterminator, happened by and sat with me until my husband showed up. Several guys helped me get to my feet. When we got to the Emergency Room the doctors, nurses and techs treated me kindly and well even though I was not at my best. I landed on my left elbow and all my weight plus that of the scoot did some damage. They drugged me up and used a C shaped x-ray machine (this was after regular x-rays and a cat scan) to tease the bones back to where they should be and then put me in a soft cast. Today I follow up with my Orthopedist to discuss surgery options.

What struck me most about this whole experience was the kindness of strangers. These people were of all colors, religious beliefs, socioeconomic strata, they could have been glbt, Republicans or Democrats; none of that matters as they/we are all human and they didn't want me to hurt. Next time I get down about what is happening in our world I will think on this and smile.

So to all those wonderful people that stopped to help a complete stranger I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. To the Doctors, Nurses and Techs thanks for putting up with me for six hours and easing my pain and my husbands worries.

I am blessed to be alive and only moderately damaged (the scooter has no damage for those that were curious) so I am going to give away a surprise package or maybe two.

Taming Kiera by Chantel Seabrook

Blurb:
Kiera is the daughter of the notorious Richard Boyd, the man responsible for the death of hundreds of shifters. She’s also the most recent victim of her father’s experiments. Once human, Kiera was genetically altered with metamorph DNA. She barely survived the transformation, and now must learn how to control the animal within.

Alpha werelion, Jacob Oliver has always prided himself on being reliable, loyal, and practical. He’s the youngest ever, Director of Therian Affairs. When the first survivor of spontaneous morphing ends up in his care, Jacob finds himself struggling to maintain his composure.

There’s always been something wild and untamed within Kiera, but if she’s ever going to be able to rejoin society, she’ll need someone to teach her how to control her new animal nature. Jacob Oliver is just the man for the job, or at least he thinks he is.

What happens when you add fire to ice? Steam! Will Jacob extinguish the flame within her, or will Kiera finally melt Jacob’s icy exterior?

My review:
Life laughs at Alpha werelion, Jacob Oliver. He has avoided getting serious with anyone because there is a curse hanging over his head. Of course then he meets Kiera Boyd, the first survivor of spontaneous morphing and his mate. Kiera shakes up Jacobs world and gives him a reason to fight his fate. These two are fun to watch. Immovable object meets unstoppable force.  I loved everything about this book except the title. There is no taming of any kind in this book.

'Til Death Do Us Part by Amanda Quick

Blurb:
Calista Langley operates an exclusive “introduction” agency in Victorian London, catering to respectable ladies and gentlemen who find themselves alone in the world. But now, a dangerously obsessed individual has begun sending her trinkets and gifts suitable only for those in deepest mourning—a black mirror, a funeral wreath, a ring set with black jet stone. Each is engraved with her initials.

Desperate for help and fearing that the police will be of no assistance, Calista turns to Trent Hastings, a reclusive author of popular crime novels. Believing that Calista may be taking advantage of his lonely sister, who has become one of her clients, Trent doesn’t trust her. Scarred by his past, he’s learned to keep his emotions at bay, even as an instant attraction threatens his resolve.

But as Trent and Calista comb through files of rejected clients in hopes of identifying her tormentor, it becomes clear that the danger may be coming from Calista’s own secret past—and that only her death will satisfy the stalker...

My review:
I love JAK in all her incarnations. Like all her books this was a fast paced really fun read. The heroine is a smart strong woman trying to make it in a world where women have little control over their lives. I loved the hero, a successful author of detective mysteries who has to deal with everyone telling him how his story should go. His patience with his fans is commendable. The mystery in this book takes convoluted twists and turns before we get to the conclusion. I enjoyed this book and recommend it heartily.

Death in the Casino: Target Practice Mysteries 5 by Nikki Haverstock

Blurb:
A tournament in Vegas means gambling, archery… and murder? The last thing Di, her roommate Mary, and Great Dane Moo expect when they arrive in Sin City is to be swept up in another investigation. But when friend Loggin fears he might be the next victim, the competition takes a back seat to finding a killer.
A wholesome cozy murder for every sleuth in the family
This is the fifth book in the Target Practice Mysteries series.

My review:
If you want a fun murder mystery with a sweet and often silly cast of characters (sort of a grown up version of the Scooby Doo gang complete with dog) then let me recommend this series. I’ve learned a whole bunch about archery and enjoyed each of these stories. How can you not love a great dane named Moo? In this adventure one of their own is threatened and Di and Mary have to find out who is behind it and why before another body drops. Clean and sweet.

Can he keep her safe as they travel across continents and explore the depth of their feelings for each other? Or will misplaced honor and treasonous loyalties prove fatal for them both?

My review:
Fatal Honor is a fast paced romantic suspense with imperfect good guys and truly repugnant bad guys, twists and turns that will keep you flipping pages. Fatal honor reads like a spy movie. Strap in and hold on you are in for a wild ride.

Sanctuary (Safe Haven #2) by Sheri Lyn

Blurb:
Odin has no luck in life. Recruited at a young age to an illegal testing facility left crater-sized wounds, both physically and emotionally. His only solace has been his makeshift family, other boys who escaped the facility with him. Only they can understand and share in his need for revenge.

Kylen Hagrin had a nearly perfect childhood growing up. He never lacked for love or affection. While home in between assignments as an investigative reporter, he discovers the story and the love of a lifetime.

Odin and his band of brothers need help if they want to shut down the testing site once and for all. They will do anything to rescue any children still being harmed there.

Sometimes the truths that haunt us and the truths we live are polar opposites. Before they can find common ground, a road must be paved. Some hearts need to open up to pain before love can find its way in. Odin will have to decide to love or lose the man that holds the key to his heart.

My review:
m/m
The second in a series that will tear your heart out and then make you cry happy tears. I recommend a big box of tissues and some time to get through this sweet story of men who have been through hell and come out the other side broken but not down. Watching them starting over and finding love is a trip worth taking. I am loving this series.

Witch Slapped (Witchless In Seattle Mysteries Book 1) by Dakota Cassidy

Blurb:
"Oh, good. Not a problem. I'll invoke the Gods of Pilates. I'm sure they'd be happy to help. Hang on just one sec while I dial them up. Oh, wait. I can't. Know why I can't? Because my hands are tied behind my back with zip ties, Win!"

A rib-tickling cozy mystery complete with an ex-witch, a dead British spy, a cotton ball bat and a cast of suspects that will keep you guessing right up to the end! Witch Slapped from USA Todaybestselling author Dakota Cassidy is book one in her new cozy mystery series Witchless In Seattle. Join the hunt for a murderer with Stevie, Winterbottom, and Belfry in a race against time as the local police prepare an eight by ten cell for our intrepid ex-witch.

What's a girl to do when she's a broke, shunned ex-witch with a very tiny, very hungry bat familiar named Belfry to feed?

Hello. My name is Stevie Cartwright, and I've been witchless for thirty days.

If only there was a support group for down-on-their-luck ex-witches who've had their powers slapped right out of them (literally). Just as I was licking my wounds after returning to my hometown of Ebenezer Falls, WA, and navigating my suddenly non-magical existence with the help of my familiar, the only friend I have left in the world--things got sticky.

Enter an ex-spy and newly departed spirit named Winterbottom, who's infiltrated my life with his sexy British accent and a couple of requests...

Thanks to Belfry's successful attempt to use me as a human antenna to the afterlife, I can somehow hear Win. I should be ecstatic; helping departed souls used to be my witch specialty. It's like I got the teensiest piece of my old life back. Except Win's dropped me right at a dead woman's feet.

Madam Zoltar, the town's beloved fake medium, has been murdered, and Win wants me to catch the killer.

My old life won't be worth much if it gets me whacked before my new life has barely begun--and that seems to be exactly what the killer has planned!

Content Notes: This cozy mysteries women sleuths series has a complete cast of oddball characters from witches to ghosts and bats to psychics. Witchless In Seattle Mysteries is a spin-off of Dakota Cassidy's popular A Paris, Texas Romance Series.

My review:
Witch Slapped is a hilarious spin-off from her Paris, Texas Romance Series. This may be the cleanest book I’ve read by Dakota Cassidy. It is filled with her trademark snark and humor. A quick fun read that has been languishing on my TBR list for far too long. I can’t wait for the next installment.

Star Crossed (The Billionaires, #4) by Emma Holly

Blurb:
A.J. Hoyt is as cynical as she is badass, a former cop turned bodyguard. A lifetime of hard knocks taught her not to trust—a handy trait in her line of work. Given the right motivation, she knows anyone will betray their near and dear. Rather than let them betray her, A.J. keeps her shields nailed up.

On the surface, Luke Channing’s life seems charmed. He’s a Hollywood action hero whose looks inspire fantasies. Known for being easygoing and kind to fans, his latest film made him a billionaire producer. Problem is his high profile has attracted a dangerous admirer.

Threats like the one Luke faces aren’t new. A.J. saved his life once already. Now he doesn’t trust anyone but her to guard him. With a deadly enemy lurking in the shadows, this star-crossed pair better pray A.J.’s skills are sharp!

My review:
Star Crossed is a sweet and sexy reverse bodyguard story that will keep you turning pages.  Emma Holly keeps you enthralled with the mystery of who would want to kill good guy actor Luke Channing and keeping your fingers crossed that Alexandre “A.J.” Hoyt can figure it out while keeping him safe.  This book may be part of The Billionaires series but can be read standalone just fine. It isn’t as overtly sexy as the others in this series which make the sex between Luke and A.J. that much hotter. I heartily recommend.

Safe Haven (Safe Haven #1) by Sheri Lyn

Blurb:
Nothing in Phoenix’s life ever went right. He never knew where his next meal would come from or if he would be safe going home at night. Desperate to escape, he trusts the wrong person. A different kind of evil wrapped in hope led him into the claws of a prison he might not survive.

Gryphon took a chance on a new life and ended up a captive. To his shock, he wasn’t alone. Twenty boys experimented on physically and mentally, few would ever see the light of day again.

A family forged in the fires of hell. Escape came, but at the price of losing more of themselves than they realized. They must depend on each other and new friends. No-one is expecting to find love, but love may find them anyway.

Their mission is clear: Find the people who did this to them and destroy them.

But some missions aren't always so cut and dry...

My review:
m/m
After a slow start this book picks up steam and will break your heart. Safe Haven, by new to me author Sheri Lyn, is the first in a series that will make you laugh and make you cry and make you mad as hell and wanting more. Sheri Lyn puts her characters through hell and takes you along for the ride. Now the guys are free and trying to make new lives for themselves and trying to prevent others from experiencing what they were put through. Some answers are given only to give you more questions. The relationship between Nix and Gryph is sweet and leaves you hoping the other guys find their sweet too. I really enjoyed this book and will be reading the next in the series real soon.

Naughty Wishes Part IV: Soul (Naughty Wishes #4) by Joey W. Hill

Blurb:
From the author of Naughty Bits, comes Naughty Wishes Part IV: Soul, when the hunger for ultimate fulfillment between three young lovers comes to a breathtaking climax…

It’s everything their hearts desire—but Samantha, Geoff, and Chris crave even more. With their feelings for one another out in the open and explored beyond their wildest dreams, other questions must be faced. Is it really love they feel? Or have they just been blinded by a relationship as intense and extreme as it is so profoundly intimate?

For Sam, Geoff, and Chris the world of Dominance and submission is more nuanced than they imagined, and they are far more vulnerable than they believed. Now, while looking for answers to a lasting happiness amid their deepest emotional and sexual needs, Sam, Geoff, and Chris discover how much innocence they’ve yet to shed. Because they’re about to make a play for the most unrealized fantasy of all…true love.

Includes a teaser for Unrestrained

My review:
Naughty Wishes Part IV: Soul brings this series to an emotional ending. In previous installments Samantha, Geoff, and Chris brought their friendship and love for each other to the next level. Now they have to learn what that means and how to keep their blossoming relationships moving forward. This is erotic romance at its finest. Yes there is smoking hot sex but what really does it for me is the emotional interactions and growth between the characters. Nobody does it better than Joey W. Hill.

Kidnapped By Her Husbands by Rebecca Royce

Blurb:
Alone in prison.
No recollection of the past.
A baby grows inside her.

In a futuristic world where women are scarce and only the wealthy can afford a wife, Melissa Alexander is trapped in a prison rehabilitation center with no memory of who she is. The unborn child growing inside her is all that keeps them from making her pay for the sins she's committed--sins she cannot recall. But when five sexy strangers, claiming to be her husbands, kidnap her and bring her to safety, Melissa fears she can't trust them. All she can remember is what she was taught under the prison's watchful, vengeful eye: to hate them. But how can she hate--or love--what she can't remember?

My review:
Kidnapped By Her Husbands will suck you in and keep you enthralled by the twists and turns this story takes. Rebecca Royce keeps you guessing past the very last page. I will warn you that this is the first in a series and will leave some things hanging at the end. Melissa is a mess. She is a strong young woman who has had her mind wiped and is brainwashed afterward and yet she still manages to stand on her own even while very pregnant. I loved this book. It has me devising all kinds of scenarios in my head and I can’t wait for answers in the next book.

Delta Force (Special Ops Series) by Julie Morgan

Blurb:

Special Ops soldier Logan Saunders is at the top of his game. He has led nearly impossible missions in the heat of war, while having a wife at home who waited for his return.

Or so he thought. Receiving word of a fatal collision, Logan returns home and soon discovers her infidelity.

Training missions, parties, and women become his life's focus. When the partying makes him a danger to others and himself, matters are placed into the hands of the military.

When forced with a life changing decision, Logan meets a woman who will change his life. Problem is, she is his assigned therapist. And she is off limits. Will she be able to help Logan get over his past and forgive his wife? What about forgiving himself? In the line of fire, there is fight or flight. This is a fight Logan intends to win.

My review:
This one hit close to home. As a former military spouse I have seen versions of this scenario play out time after time. I know of the feelings of rage, hurt, betrayal and pain. Logan feels all of these and acts out by being an asshole to the women he meets. I’ve met him too. This was a tough book to get through. I wish I liked Logan more but was glad I read it through. The story was spot on from the foul mouth to the crass acts to finally starting to forgive himself and moving on.  Well done.

Despite her troubles Evalle has collected some steadfast friends throughout the previous books. Now it is up to her and those friends to save Brina. Evalle has always honored her vows often to her own detriment but when it comes down to a choice between her vows or her honor she has to do the right thing. This adventure win or lose is going to change things for Evalle and her friends. Action, adventure, magic and love this fast paced book has it all. Brava Ms. Love for another fantastic ride.

Python's Embrace (Bitten Point #3) by Eve Langlais

Blurb:
He loves to HUG and SQUEEZE.

Welcome to Bitten Point, where a big bad snake dotes on his itty-bitty dog. Got a problem with it? Then speak to his fist.

Don’t mock Constantine’s dog. Princess might weigh only six and a half pounds, but she’s tough—so watch your ankles. Be warned, if she doesn’t like you then neither will Constantine.

Except he kinds of likes Aria, even though Princess would prefer to bury her in a hole.

Could it be because Aria has secrets? Lots of them, and they all have to do with the danger stalking Bitten Point. People are missing, and some have turned up dead. Monsters are roaming and not just the swamp at night but the streets too. At the heart of the mystery is a bite-sized woman, a woman Constantine wants to hug tightly in his coils and…keep forever?

A cold-blooded snake, Constantine can’t help but crave the warmth that is Aria, but can he keep her out of mortal danger long enough to make her his mate?

My review:
Eve Langlais makes me giggle. In Python's Embrace we have a big guy, Constantine, who is a Momma’s boy and dotes on his tiny Chihuahua. I know you are thinking he is gay right? Nope he is a snake. Really he is a python shifter. Yep, I know you are thinking ewww not my favorite kind of shifter. Yeah not mine either but the author makes him squeezably wonderful. Watching this hunk find his bird shifter mate and the interaction between them and Princess (his Chihuahua) is hilarious and sweet. Another hit in the bitten point series.

SEAL for Her Protection (SEALs of Coronado #1) by Paige Tyler

Blurb:
He saved her from the danger once before. Can he save her again, this time from danger he doesn't even see coming?

When investigative journalist Hayley Garner is kidnapped by terrorists, she's sure they're going to kill her. But in sweeps handsome Navy SEAL Chasen Ward to rescue her. After getting her to safety, he disappears into the night before she can even thank him.

Weeks later, while covering a story on the local navy base, Hayley runs into Chasen again. Even though she didn't see his face that night he rescued her, she can't forget his beautiful blue eyes.

The attraction is immediate and intense, and Hayley finds herself falling into a fiery romance with the hunky hero out of her dreams. Guys like this aren’t supposed to really exist, but Chasen does, and damn is he hot.

But ever since she got back home, Hayley has had the feeling someone's been watching her. Is it post-traumatic stress or does she have a reason to be afraid? Good thing she has a Navy SEAL to protect her.

My review:
If sexy men saving a damsel in distress isn’t your thing then skip this book. But if you love hot, hunky heroes then this is for you. Navy SEAL Chasen Ward is hot, hard and honorable. He is also the one who hauls investigative journalist Hayley Garner out of a Boko Haram hell hole then disappears into the night. It was a life altering moment for both of them so when chance finds them in the same place at the same time in San Diego they have to give it a try. Watching this hard SEAL and tough journalist get together is a lot of fun. SEAL for Her Protection is the first in a series and I look forward to the next installment.

The Trouble With Grace: Celeste Moravia Agathe Alain : A prequel to The Heir and The Spare (Lords of Time Book 4) by Jenn LeBlanc

The Trouble With Grace: Celeste Moravia Agathe Alain : A prequel to The Heir and The Spare (Lords of Time Book 4) by Jenn LeBlanc

Blurb:
She had no idea what passion was,
Until she saw them...

Lady Alain needs a husband, and Quintin Wyntor will do just fine.

She will offer him a mutual agreement of respect and independence--
As long as he never visits her bed to claim his marital rights.

But seeing him with a man, with Calder, changes it all.
For better--and for worse.

Passion stirred.
Desire ignited.

And yet, she still never wants to touch or be touched.

But Quinn's heart is shattered when his lover walks away so he decides to explore his feelings for Celeste to ease his broken heart.

In one unchecked moment of passion, mutual need spins out of control and bringing Calder home now may just be impossible.

Will Celeste give in to what Quinn wants for her?
Or will she stand her ground and hope they find another way...

This book is the story of Celeste and has her happily for now.
It is also the beginning of Calder and Quinn's story which will be continued in THE SPARE AND THE HEIR.

This book is an autochorissexual romance (on the asexual spectrum) but contains important pieces of a gay romance. Both are explicit.

Warning: this book has a cliffhanger ending for Calder and Quinn, but is very much part of their story.
Warning: this is not a kissing book, but it is a dirty, dirty book

Warning: You're going to fall in love, and it's going to hurt.

LOUISA : A companion NOVEL in the Lords of Time Series

My review:
When I want a well-researched completely different read I reach for a Jenn LeBlanc book. I adore this series. This is not your typical historical. The Trouble With Grace: Celeste Moravia Agathe Alain takes a young woman, Grace, who was born in 1978 back to the past to inhabit the body of 10 year old Celeste Moravia Agathe Alain. She is now a young woman reviled by her own family because of her bi-racial coloring who needs to marry to escape. The problem is she doesn’t wish to have sexual relations with anyone. Quintin Wyntor seems like the answer to her prayers as he is in love with Calder St. Cyr. This book is Grace’s story and it sets up Quinn and Calders tale. Which I am now anxiously awaiting. This book like all the others in this series defies labels. It is a historical/time travel romance with m/m elements. This is not your mother’s historical. This is a sexy convoluted tale of self-discovery. Bring on THE SPARE AND THE HEIR.

CYBORG PLEASURE; THE SPACE MADAM'S WARRIOR (LodeStar Series Book 6) by Cathryn Cade

Blurb:
LodeStar Book 6
In space, there are even more ways to lose your lover

She lost everything . . .

Ilya Mondas once lived her dream—life with a band of space gypsies wandering the wild plains of Frontiera, the freedom to use her tech savvy to wreak mayhem on pirates and slavers, and her big, soft-spoken warrior Var, who adored her. Then she lost him, and the life she loved.

She’ll do anything to get it all back . . .

Now on her own, she must take over The Pleasure Palace, a ragtag space-station casino, home to hookers, gamblers and rogues. But one or all of them want her dead, and they have the monsters to do it—human-cyborg gladiators, created for the illegal fight ring hidden deep in the center of her new home. Where the biggest, baddest cyborg of all looks eerily like her dead husband.

But can she trust anyone again?

My review:

This series is so much fun.  I ugly cried when Var died in Captive of Pleasure: the Space Pirate's Woman (LodeStar #3) but not as much as Ilya Mondas did. She lost her everything. The man who completed her. Total opposites, they worked. This book takes up shortly after that. You don’t have to have read Captive of Pleasure but it wouldn’t hurt and it is a great read. Ilya is hurting and striking out at everyone until Joran Stark sends her to take over the very place that her love was killed. It gives her an opportunity for revenge and a chance to start anew. This is a terrific story with a couple of fun sub plots that keep you guessing. I highly recommend.

Unusual Seductions signed copy Giveaway

Unusual Seductions by Tilly Greene, Cassidy K. O'Connor, Sheri Lyn, S.A. Price, Christine Alvarez, Julie Morgan

Blurb:
An odd paranormal anthology, Unusual Seductions. None of these stories have a vampire, werewolf or shifter around, these reads are full of valkyrie, gargoyles, ghosts, hellhounds and demigods,

Symphony of Night (Chronicles of the Fallen) by Julie Morgan
The veil has lowered and the human race now realizes they are not alone. We live among the supernatural, but there’s a catch; you only see them if you have the supernatural gene. Humans want to declare war, but how do you fight against a force you cannot see?
My name is Jac and I’m the last Valkyrie. My best friend and guardian, Rowan, is a gargoyle. The portal to our world has closed, keeping the supernatural trapped on earth. That is until word is out about a stone with powers to open it. It’s not just any stone, it is THE stone.
Tasked by Archangel Michael to locate this stone, I manage to pick up a band of misfits willing to help me in my quest. One of them is Kai, an Oni. Samuel, the first of the Fallen, is also out for the stone, and plans on using to his advantage. What happens if the stone falls into the wrong hands? Appearances can be deceiving, and alliances will form. Are the humans in the right for raging war, and are the supernatural justified to fight back? How do you choose who’s right, and who’s wrong?

Sex and the Supernatural by Stella Price (S.A. Price)
Sex and the Supernatural by Stella and Audra Price: Tara Gavin belongs to the Nightshade Society, an elite group that takes care of all the nasties that roam the night, especially ghosts in all their wicked incarnations. A woman with secrets of her own, she is plagued by an insatiable need for physical contact on a daily basis.
Two nights before Halloween, she's called in to save some stupid amateur ghost hunters from a house that has long been on the Society's black list, and gets trapped inside. Trapped with a sexy man with horns that is not supposed to be there.
Antaeus Folle is a demon who was tricked into the caretakership of the Hoyt Mansion and its murderous inhabitants. When all Hell breaks loose and he finds a sexy, dangerous as hell woman snagged in a trap room, he realizes that if he plays his cards right, he could end his tenure as babysitter and go back to the life he was ripped from. He just didn't count on the woman he sees as a savior being the biggest temptation he's ever had.
Having to work together, despite growing attraction on both sides, is not going to be easy. Ant will have to open his world up to another, and Tara will have to trust a demon with her life, and possibly her heart.

The playful and randy sides of Cer merge together with Kate and he can't shake what he starts feeling for her. Loving the Monster Within by Cassidy Kristi O'Connor
Penelope Harbough has dedicated her life to her job at a home for battered women and children. With such a stressful and heartbreaking job, she finds her solace in the arms of Frank – a gargoyle statue that sits atop her building watching over the city. She spills her heart to him daily while watching the sun rise.

Asald sold his soul for the woman he loved. After upsetting the prince of Hell, he is cursed to become the monster he feared was inside him. To make up for some of the guilt, he takes it upon himself to protect the women of the shelter. A vigilante. A modern day winged Robin Hood, of sorts. Until he’s forced to reveal himself…

Goated by the Gods by Sheri Lyn
Their family cursed by the God Thor long ago, the Maddux brothers are forced to walk the earth as both goats and men. Maddening at first, the family has since learned to use their curse to their advantage and wouldn't trade it for anything, except maybe love. Finding someone to accept them- both sides- is proving difficult.
Thor feels guilty that time slipped away from him in the mortal realm, he never meant for the curse to last as long as it has. In an attempt to make up for it, Thor takes it upon himself to help the brothers find their soulmates, with the help of the Trickster god himself, Loki.
A Matchmaking service run by Thor and Loki? This should be fun, but when the gods are involved, nothing is ever easy.

My review:

DANGER! This isn’t your normal PNR. Read this only if you want to expand your idea of what PNR is. These six talented authors have stretched the boundaries of what we would call normal and introduce us to the sexy darker side. Demi-gods, Gargoyles, Demons, Angels, Hell-hounds and more.  Are you ready?

Sex and the Supernatural by Stella Price (S.A. Price) - Tara Gavin works for the Nightshade Society protecting mundane humans from the things that go bump in the night. While rescuing some ghost hunters from their own stupidity Tara comes into her own powers and maybe has found the demon of her dreams. If horn licking turns you off skip this one.

Symphony of Night (Chronicles of the Fallen) by Julie Morgan – It is obvious that this story takes place in an established world/series but stands on its own just fine. War between the supernaturals and humans is imminent and Jac, the last Valkyrie, who is just now coming into her powers is the fortold one. She is the key to stopping it. With help from a Gargoyle, an Oni demon, an Archangel, a fallen angel and a band of misfits she can do it but at what cost? This is a fun read with a sexy ménage.

My Name is Cer - Mythogical Messes Redux by Tilly Greene – This was my favorite and is the kinkiest of the six. We all know that Cerberus is a 3 headed hellhound and the Guardian of the Underworld. What happens when he escorts Persephone, the Queen of the Underworld, to modern day London? I adored Cer. In his human form he is a big sexy puppy. He is stubborn, loyal and playful. When he meets a woman that knocks his socks off there isn’t much he wouldn’t do for her. This one will require you to believe in magic.

Sealed in Blood- The Hellbound Chronicles by Christine Alvarez – Never make a deal with a demon. They will find a way to screw you over. Claire is the daughter of an angel and a human. When she was 5 her mother was dying and summoned a demon and bound it to protect Claire. What she didn’t realize was the demon added a clause that said he got to take Claires’ soul when she turned 25. It is two days before her 25th birthday and the demon sends a human/hellhound hybrid Kyon to collect but Kyon’s hellhound side claims her for his mate. Keeping her safe is going to be a full time job.

Goated by the Gods by Sheri Lyn – m/m This story had me laughing out loud. This is a story of 3 brothers affected by a temper tantrum Thor threw a thousand years ago. Thor wants to make it right so he and Loki go into the match making business. They are going to find the 3 goat shifter brothers their mates. Much hilarity ensues.

Loving the Monster Within by Cassidy Kristi O'Connor – This is a sweet tale of redemption and love. Penelope works in a battered womens shelter and cries on the shoulder of the gargoyle on the roof. She doesn’t know he can come to life until he does to save her life. A fun sexy romp.

I love anthologies where I can try new to me authors or try new stuff from authors I know. This is a hot read that will take you to new places in your imagination.
